I had the daily special, which i knew what i was getting based on what was at the register, however they made me the surprise (Vegas) by accident... and then made the correct sandwich without a hesitation. Not sure what i had, looked like a Cuban mixed with something else, it too was fabulous! The whole family enjoyed their selection. Will def come back another time!

My friend and I met after we parked our bikes. She was sitting outside, and as I was locking my bike, less than a block away, she texted me. I just walked to her without responding, and with a smile and a hug, we walked in to look at the menu. The sandwiches have some very creative names that go along with their creative construction. I got a #10, which was a fusion of French dip and Philly cheese!! I wanna buy the person a beer, whoever thought of that one! Even though it was busy, we didn't wait long to order. Every sandwich comes in a paper bag, so you can take it out or stay and munch. We got a combo with chips and a drink, because how else do you eat a big sandwich like this?! There are board games to play, decor that is not typical and a big display of Guy Fieri, from the Food Network, that lets you know this place is on America's culinary map. After the sandwiches were done, I brought them out to my friend Kimberly, who was saving our table. We both were hungry, so out of the wrap and in with the teeth. Mine was full of flavor and the fact that all the sandwiches are heat-pressed, made the texture very satisfying. The au jus was thick and delicious and made me think someone took great time and effort to make it. It is a casual restaurant, great for a date or a group of friends, or a solo quick lunch, that can also be a dinner as well. The food is somewhat pricey, but it delivers as a good meal with a creative touch. They could have emptied the garbage can more quickly, as it was more than overflowing, when I went to throw the garbage away. Memorable food, and makes me want to come back to try at least two other sandwiches that I read about.

We went to Vietnam a couple years ago and now anytime she has a chance to get Banh Mi she does. We'd been here before but I think they recently added the Korean sticks to the menu. I always get a #1 without cilantro or mayo. They haven't messed it up yet. Pate is not really an American thing but it's a good combination. There's a dark sauce they put on the sandwich too which is really good. There's are freshly sliced jalapeños so take note if you don't like spicy. They are very thinly sliced so it's not overwhelming but there's a little kick. My wife got a sandwich but also tried one of the Korean sticks. She got the stick without a hotdog. It was basically a block of cheese coated in diced potatoes, kind of like frozen breakfast potatoes you can get at the grocery store. They deep fry it so the cheese is completely melted. I think she's glad she tried it, but I don't think she was impressed. We'll just stick to Banh Mi next time.

It took a while for anyone to greet me to take my order but after I ordered it did come relatively quickly. Not as fast as other banh mi places though. The banh mi itself was probably the worst one I have ever had. The bread tasted refrigerated and was very chewy. It actually took a lot of effort for me to bite and chew it. Definitely not good eats. Ambiance was nice with plenty of seating.

My first time at Flaco's but definitely NOT my last The person (who I assume must be the owner) working the register, taking the orders, and making the food was so kind, suggesting options for me given it was my first time there. I got the beef arepas and a cheese pastry cause I was not too hungry. The food was piping hot and delicious. Others in our group got their empanadas, Cuban sandwich, cheese arepas, quesitos, loaded nachos, and guava cheese pastry. As we sat there eating, the line was growing longer and longer, and out the door by the time we left. It was not due to slow service but volume of last night revelers. The one person working that night was incredibly efficient. Kudos to him. Clean bathroom is a good sign of a clean establishment. Flaco's bathroom was clean. I will be back for more tasty eats!

The prices are not bad for the amount of food you get and they have a lot of options. I got the sunshine burrito, which includes a variety of mixed vegetables in place of a meat. The burrito was huge and loaded with fillings, though the fillings were a bit unevenly distributed so some bites were dry and others were loaded with sauce. It was tasty though, I just wish it was a bit better mixed. The service was alright, the guy working was super nice but the food took a long time to come out. However it was definitely super fresh and hot when it came out, so can't complain too much!

I was a little nervous about timing as I had to reserve the freight elevators at both locations, but the movers showed up right at 8am! And they were done even faster than anticipated. They wrapped my couch, boxed my picture frames and took extra care of my China dishes. The staff was friendly and courteous and saved me and my back so much stress! There are usually folks that don't put their shopping carts back. You're doing the store and yourself a favor if you grab it to either return and pocket that quarter or just use the cart and pass along the good deed if you will. ALDIs have certain type of marinated meats, Jalapeno poppers, and just some random items the other local supermarkets don't carry. I also noticed this location has a ton of name brand stuff. Oreo, Takis, Pringles just to name a few. I shop at Walmart weekly and various items are cheaper at ALDIs. Although that's not always the case. ALDIs doesn't carry all the ingredients I need so the visits here are typically one offs. Checkout can get a little backed up depending on the time of day.
