Small, but mighty- what a cute antique store with lovely owners/staff! I found a cute, artisan change pouch to snag and had my eye on a gorgeous quilt too. I went back and got the quilt after browsing other stores on the main road. I was thrilled to see they were very busy when I returned- someone had scooped up these ornate chairs I had admired earlier! I do love seeing small businesses busy! The place is huge, and is a great area to browse, but after 45 minutes I found nothing in here. They have a really nice glass display case line-up near the front, but it was more like a museum than an antique store to me. (Who's going to pay a few thousand for a bottle???!!!) They have a lot of larger items here, but I'm more of a trinket kind of person, so my interest wasn't held that long. That, and the prices were steep, even for antiques. This antique store is not one of those large "antique malls" but rather a ma & pa antique store. The owners are lovely people and they have housed all their personal antiques here. I love that nothing here is cluttered but rather the antiques are strategically placed where you can see as well as get to them. The business is bright so you can see all the items well. There's not one particular era that they are from - there's a good range of all decades and all types of items. Best of all the prices are excellent!

I was amazed by the quality of the items here, there are things here that you may never see for sale again, if you're a real collector who appreciates those rare and unique pieces you will love this place, this is by no means a junk store so if you're looking for cheap artsy and crafty things that most of today's "antique" stores seem too gravitate to keep driving this is no thrift store. The hours here are very limited but the owners tell me they are trying to turn this into a full time business so stay tuned. They also sell off their Facebook page and have a eBay store, but if you like to see and feel something before you buy it then you'll need to make the drive to McIntosh.
