My hubby and I love this place. We're out at Kingsley lake and the big box stores on Blanding seem a million miles away. JBS is much quicker and a much safer drive. It's well worth it and the inventory is extensive. We're fans read more

We moved to Starke a couple years ago and went to jacksons to get some supplies to repair our new home. We were told by the rude pot bellied clerk that they are strictly a contractor supply store not for the public. Thats fine they want to pass up cash sales and loyal customers. For a small town business I think its a poor decision to turn away business for preferred customers. Its easy to drive past this pl;ace and go to a friendly store. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jackson Building Supply in Starke. I always ask for one employee in particular, Tim. He consistently goes above and beyond to get me what I need for my projects. The crazy thing is I've been able to get things through JBS that I couldn't even find at Lowes or Home Depot. In fact I just ordered a door that 2 other contractor supply stores in Gainesville told me would take months to get. I ask a ton a questions and I'm never made to feel like a bother. In fact, it feels more like I'm calling a good friend. I've never found this level of personal service anywhere else. read more

The people who run this hardware establishment are top notch! Polite and courteous with prices that are not too bad for a small town - and on many occasions better than the big orange guys. Plus you get personal service. They even deliver locally and are extremely accomodating. read more
