I have called them out several times on items ringing up incorrectly. They always correct it, but how many others do not notice and are overcharged?

Apparently the tiny little thing had wandered into the store from the trailer park next door. The store workers had been unable to catch her and told my stepmom that if she could catch her, she could have her. That is how we ended up with the newest member of our family - Miss Ingles. She is just the cutest little tiger striped thing I have ever met. She made my trip home for the holidays this year much more delightful. As for the store itself, in addition to their selection of kittens, they also have a fabulous selection of groceries. Now that I have been living in San Francisco for so long, I just wander the aisles marveling at all the choices every time I come here. Every thing always seems insanely cheap to me too. The box of grits that cost me over 5 bucks and was impossible to find in San Francisco costs less than half the price here. The cashiers, usually teenagers, are always really friendly. I enjoy hearing their accents when they say things like - do you want the bags in the BUGGY or do you want to carry them out? My fiance has been giving me hell for my use of the word buggy for several years now, so I feel comforted on my trips to the homeland when I realize that I am neither alone nor crazy. Well, I might be crazy, but it ain't for my use of the word buggy!

A trip around the world and a walk down memory lane…read more It's been decades since I stepped foot inside the Buford Highway Farmers Market, and being back felt like a beautiful reunion. The last time I walked these aisles, I was with my mama, Donna Theresa. So much has changed since then, yet the soul of this place remains as vibrant as ever. It feels more expansive than I remember. A true global treasure tucked right here in the city. I'm still obsessed with how they organize the aisles by country. In just one afternoon, I traveled from Korea to Eastern Europe to Central America, no passport required! I was officially "team sample" the moment they offered! Unlike the heavy, sugary profile of traditional American cakes, these were a masterclass in balance. I tried the Neapolitan, a stunning phyllo-layered creation that was light, buttery, and perfectly textured. But the Lemon Cream Cake? It stole the entire show. It looked picture-perfect on the shelf, and the taste was even better. It was so bright, airy, and just the right amount of decadence. Coming back here wasn't just a grocery trip; it was a win for my palate and my heart. Now that I'm back in the area, you can bet this is becoming a regular stop on my rotation. I purchased a pack of tofu along with some other items on March 11. I open the fridge a few days later on March 15, finally ready to prepare the tofu, just to see that the exp date on the pack was March 10. This picture was taken March 15 upon this discovery. I meant to update this review a while ago. I just can't spend money here anymore knowing that I'm liable to accidentally purchase old products. As customers, we should not have to be this vigilant at a grocery store... it's ridiculous.

It would be nice to have an employee that knows about cheese that is there to answer questions during prime store hours. (Have been there 6 times and no employee. The deli staff does not know the flavors) Produce department is getting better! Variety is growing and the prepared items look fresh. There is a lack of fresh herbs, just plastic boxed ones. Seafood department has a wide variety. New sushi display with "freshly in house made rolls". Cashiers are quick and always friendly. I have seen more registers open if there are lines. Baggers do not hesitate to take your bags to the car.

I live in Canton, Georgia, but we decided to get married at a fancy AirBnB on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Georgia. We were going to cater (apps, food, cake, flowers) the entire wedding through Publix. The key word here was "were." I went to my local Canton Publix and got their specialty cake brochure and talked to the bakery about options. My Canton Publix was fantastic and excited, saying they could pretty much make whatever my heart desired. We told them that we love one of their already-discovered creation under their Decadent Dessert menu called the Strawberry Limonada cake. It came in an 8 inch and we were hoping they could do a 10 inch and and 8 inch and stack them. The Canton Publix said absolutely. When we called the Eatonton Publix, we were not treated with such grace and excitement. They acted like I was a nuisance to call and made me feel guilty to even ask for them to bake me a cake. I am pretty sure I was about to drop a lot of money at this Publix so you can imagine my disappointment. They first told me they could only do the Strawberry Limonada cake in an 8 inch and that we could only order from the specialty cakes brochure. OK, that is fine. I understand their limitations. I called back the next day with an order that fit within their brochure parameters...white cake with raspberry filling. They then told me they cannot do the following things: - Stack cakes. - Make any cake other than an 8 inch or sheet cake. - Make a cake with any filling...period. They also told me all this with a sense of yelling and angst. And they cannot even fulfill one specialty cake that their brochure says they can do. So we called corporate and told them about our experience and decided to remove our complete catering order. They did not deserve our business or money. Instead of rating this Publix as a one star, I opted for a two star because we still got just my bouquet and a veggie tray from them and they worked out great. If you read other reviews on this Publix, you will read similar stories about the personnel in the bakery. It sounds like it is time for a change in that department. I urge you to not use this Publix if planning a wedding. They will take your happy and excited mood and turn it sour.
