They have a good selection of items.  They are overstocked on some and understocked on others.  It is hit and miss.  The staff is attentive but they have a lot of work to do.  When we went there we were not able to find the right size kiddy pool we were looking for, so that was a disappointment.  Otherwise it is a generally good general store. Checking out was a difficulty as we had to wait for the cashier who seemed in a hurry to return to stocking or whatever other work there was to do which seemed to include talking to the beer delivery guy for an extended period of time. They have gas cannisters available here.

My mother and I visited Elly's today while shopping, and she found two dresses she really liked…read more Both had purple dots on the price tags, so we asked a sales associate what the dots meant. She wasn't sure, went to ask someone, and came back saying the "boss" told her the items were not on sale. My mother decided she didn't want the dresses, but I knew she really liked them. I took them to the register and asked the cashier to scan them. Both items rang up at 50% off. Thinking it might be a mistake, I asked her to scan them again, and once again they rang up at half price. When I told my mother they were 50% off, another associate, Dee, abruptly interrupted and said, "No, they are not. Nothing is on sale." Even the cashier seemed surprised and commented that purple dots usually indicated sale items. Dee then said she would get the manager. When Susan, the manager, arrived, we politely asked to speak with her to the side. In a very cold, monotone manner, she told us nothing in the store was on sale and that the purple dot simply identified an internet item. I asked why the register was applying a 50% discount and why the cashier believed the purple dots indicated a sale. Her response was that the sale rack outside also had purple-dot tags. If that's the case, it's incredibly confusing and misleading for customers. I then asked if they would honor the price that was scanning at the register. Susan showed no concern whatsoever and simply said that someone would buy the items at full price and that they "might go on sale in August." The irony is...it is August. Before leaving, I asked Dee for her name and confirmed the manager's name, Susan, because I knew I wanted to share this experience. The store itself is beautiful, and the prices are what I would expect for a beach boutique. Unfortunately, customer service can make or break a shopping experience, and ours was disappointing. One of the other sales associates even apologized to me for how we had been treated. When I told her she had been wonderful and that my concern was with the manager's attitude, she quietly replied that Susan is "like that with everyone." That was disappointing to hear. I'm sure someone will eventually purchase those dresses, but after the rudeness and lack of customer care we experienced from the management at Elly's, I won't be back.

Based on that, the manager's response that I should have ordered the dresses online simply doesn't make sense. That response only reinforced my concern that I was not given an honest explanation in the store. A disappointing customer service experience became even more frustrating because the follow-up response failed to address what actually happened.

The food at the deli was great, the service less so. Despite placing an order online to avoid…read morewaiting in line, when we arrived at 3:30 (when our food was supposed to be ready, as we'd placed our order around 45 minutes earlier), the food wasn't ready. Our food (four subs) was STILL not ready for another 30 minutes. There was a steady line of in person customers, of course, but they had three workers actively making subs, and all three of them appeared to be prioritizing the in-person line. Only sporadically did they work on our online order, even though they were already behind on our order & those in line had only just arrived. Three other customers who had placed online orders arrived while we were waiting and were still waiting when we left. We finally got our last sub just as they finished serving their last customer in line. Again, this was 30 minutes after we had arrived, 30 minutes after our food was supposed to be ready, and fully an hour and 15 minutes past when our order had been originally placed. This was quite frustrating. I appreciate that the workers appeared to be doing their best, and they did apologize for the wait, which I also appreciate. But I could have gotten my food within 15 minutes if I had just gotten in line with everyone else. I'm not sure what the point is of having online ordering available, if the food isn't going to be ready when promised and the online orders are going to be so deprioritized compared to the in-person orders. Either they need to change their "ready by" times or they need to change their workflow. I will say, the sandwich, which was a vegan turkey situation, was absolutely delicious. I just wish I hadn't had to stand for 30 minutes and watch them make food for other people when our order had already been pending for longer than anyone in line.

What surprised me the most was that it was a big cake, not just a cupcake. Picked up some peach ice tea which was great. The cashier man was nice but didn't take the time to help me figure out the app. I finally figured it out so I could pay for my items. New to this app thing. Didn't know I would not get a receipt.
