The store itself is pretty clean and stocked decent. I have gotten some and found some items that were out of date. Whenever I see this, I take the item up and they take care of it right away. They are a bit higher priced on some things, but that's expected for them being their location. Being only a short distance from home, I can go here if I need something fast and don't want to take an hour. Lighting could use a bit of brightening inside the store also. The parking lot is a decent size and never really full. They keep it clean outside and it never looks bad. Just a few small changes to this place and I'd go up one or two stars. All in all, I'd still go here even if I had a bigger chain close to it.

I received an email confirmation stating my order was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I waited at the deli area for a while before getting someone's attention. I explained that I was there to pick up my order, and the associate informed me that a manager would be coming out to speak with me. At that moment, I had a feeling something was wrong. Bobby, the manager, came out and explained that they had not received any orders. I immediately felt sick to my stomach, and I think he noticed because he quickly reassured me that he had a plan. Bobby explained that while the turkeys had not arrived yet, he would fulfill everything else on my order. His calm and proactive approach instantly put me at ease. Although I didn't get the turkey, I was just grateful to have food for my residents. Bobby was absolutely amazing--polite, kind, and professional throughout the entire situation. There are also a lot of treats and candy that reminded me of a Pier 1 or World Trade Market. And you can find some European brands of things you just can't find in regular stores. I see Lidl as someplace to go occasionally since they are out of the way for us but if we lived closer we would shop more regularly. Ok last thing, lots of people compare this to ALDI. I don't they really are different, the bakery is far better than anything at ALDI, they also sell lower end oddities like a Dollar store, and many German or EU food products. They do carry some of the low-end brands that ALDI sells and for both stores that's part of their value. Some folks are ok to have 3rd rate quality to save a little money. For us we are selective and I don't mind hitting several grocery stores to get the best that each offers.
