Our food (four subs) was STILL not ready for another 30 minutes. There was a steady line of in person customers, of course, but they had three workers actively making subs, and all three of them appeared to be prioritizing the in-person line. Only sporadically did they work on our online order, even though they were already behind on our order & those in line had only just arrived. Three other customers who had placed online orders arrived while we were waiting and were still waiting when we left. We finally got our last sub just as they finished serving their last customer in line. Again, this was 30 minutes after we had arrived, 30 minutes after our food was supposed to be ready, and fully an hour and 15 minutes past when our order had been originally placed. This was quite frustrating. I appreciate that the workers appeared to be doing their best, and they did apologize for the wait, which I also appreciate. But I could have gotten my food within 15 minutes if I had just gotten in line with everyone else. I'm not sure what the point is of having online ordering available, if the food isn't going to be ready when promised and the online orders are going to be so deprioritized compared to the in-person orders. Either they need to change their "ready by" times or they need to change their workflow. I will say, the sandwich, which was a vegan turkey situation, was absolutely delicious. I just wish I hadn't had to stand for 30 minutes and watch them make food for other people when our order had already been pending for longer than anyone in line.

What surprised me the most was that it was a big cake, not just a cupcake. Picked up some peach ice tea which was great. The cashier man was nice but didn't take the time to help me figure out the app. I finally figured it out so I could pay for my items. New to this app thing. Didn't know I would not get a receipt. He said it would be emailed but I asked for it and he gave it to me.

The staff is amazing! They are so kind to their customers, even the littlest shopper! I enjoy having the seafood department, the fresh cuts of meat, the chicken kitchen and even the sausage works. The community table is really neat too! They always have great ideas and pairings for you to try. We have even ordered our Thanksgiving meal from them :) The bread pudding is amazing! Need an idea for lunch? Try their pizzas or gourmet sandwiches. Want something hot? Go with chicken kitchen. Their hot and ready meals are a favorite at my house. They have a great beer and wine selection. With daily tastings available. I became hooked on Lowe's because of the labeling and easy shopping experience when my daughter had a milk intolerance and I had to find alternatives such as soy, almond and coconut yogurts, cheese, ice cream and more. The way they label their specialty items really helps for those with allergies or dietary restrictions.

Have to admit the meat department folks seemed very confused about sale items the week before Thanksgiving, though. And being out of Butterball turkeys was definitely bizarre. Especially since it's a North Carolina company.

Fast forward to 2026, we now live across from a HT, and I AM SO THANKFUL WE DO! It's an absolute must to have their loyalty card--I save anywhere from $30-60 a week and that's not even including on gas! They have a hot food station where they make pizza in house--DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! You can order through their app with a specific pick up window. $13 for a large pizza that actually tastes good? While I was standing there deciding what I wanted, a manager/employee was working on an end cap nearby. I noticed he seemed more focused on watching me than on what he was doing. A few minutes later, after he walked away, the entire end cap display fell down. I knew I had not touched the display, and if I had accidentally caused it, I would have helped pick it up immediately. What bothered me most was feeling watched and judged while simply shopping peacefully. The situation could have been avoided if more attention had been paid to properly securing the display instead of monitoring customers. Unfortunately, this was not my first uncomfortable experience at this store. On another visit, I went through checkout with a newer employee who was throwing my groceries across the counter as she scanned them. The items were being handled so roughly that even the bagger finally said, "Okay, okay, that's enough." I made a light comment that my bread would probably be handled better at Piggly Wiggly, but the employee did not seem to understand the concern. After that incident, I called the store to calmly share my experience with management because I truly believed the employee simply needed more training. However, when the phone was answered, the manager immediately said, "What do you want?" in a very rude tone before even knowing why I was calling. I introduced myself politely as a customer and explained the situation respectfully. Only after I finished speaking did the tone completely change to, "Oh yes ma'am, thank you for calling." Also during today's visit, I was walking down the frozen food aisle when I suddenly heard a door slam. I turned around and saw a male employee quickly rushing down the aisle while a customer followed behind him. I moved out of the way as he approached another worker and asked where the pantyhose were located. She explained that the store no longer sells pantyhose. After he walked away, the customer like myself looked at me and said, "Did you see that?" I told her yes. She explained that he seemed upset because she had asked him earlier why all the pantyhose were gone. I simply suggested that maybe he felt uncomfortable or offended by the question. She then told me, "You a good girl," which honestly left me confused about what she meant. I remained calm and respectful during each interaction, but the overall atmosphere and professionalism I experienced during these visits were disappointing. Customers deserve to feel respected, comfortable, and welcomed while shopping.
