I joined Walking Fish's Community Supported Fishery last fall and have been ecstatic with the…read moreweekly fish delivery. You can choose the amount of fish you want (2lb or 4 lb), on a weekly or biweekly basis. You have the option to get your fish fileted or just headed/gutted. The options range from oysters, clams, snapper, mahi, flounder, bluefish, mullet, hard shell crab, soft shell crab and gorgeous shrimp! I believe I left off some of the varieties I have received but I think you get a pretty good idea. After three seasons I will continue to support this sustainable fishery. I think it is a great way to eat the way I want to in a way that is not environmentally detrimental. Also I don't have to leave Durham to get fresh fish on a weekly basis! Keep in mind if you consider joining that just like a CSA you pay at the beginning of the season trusting in your fishers to bring you the best they can. You do not get to select what you receive each week because it is based on water temperature, and fish in the area at that season. Some weeks the weather/water isn't permitting so they may move that delivery and add a week at the end of the season but I have been extremely satisfied.

Yo, the internet homies steered me wrong! Shame on y'all!…read more I got the shrimp burger with smoked gouda mac and cheese. The shrimp were criminally overcooked, and the mac needed salt in the worst way. They didn't salt the pasta water (or salt it enough), and the mac was really sad, as a result. My friend got the soup of the day combo, which were were told was a "white bean and basil soup", but I'll be danged if it didn't come out with the most garbanzo-y looking white beans I've ever seen in my life. She said it tasted like they dumped rotel, chickpeas, and pesto into a pot and called it soup, and not in a good way. My wife got the smoked wings. She said the flavor was good, but they were brought out lukewarm and very lightly sauced (she's an extra saucy kind of lady). We got two cocktails, a cherry limeade slushie and a Kill Devil Hills Pain Killer. We were told the cherry limeade was made with just cherry mixer, lime, and vodka, but it definitely tasted like it had coconut in it, and my wife hates coconut. The Pain Killer I got was acceptable, but we ordered it with our food, and it didn't come out until I'd almost finished my dinner. The vibes in the place were meh, but fine (especially if the food/drinks were good), but the tables were extremely sticky across their entire surface, so either someone sucks at cleaning, or the finish on the tables was failing and needed to be sanded down/refinished. We did get a side of sweet potato fries that were pretty dope, but they didn't make up for the disappointment of everything else. 1 out of 5 stars; do not recommend.
