Cashier Jeffery probably manager. Was in back of the store. He said hed be at the register shortly. I waited at register for a minute or two. I noticed the self serve kiosks were open. No sign saying out of order or do not use. I started using self serve kiosks. Jeffrey rushed up w emptied my scanned items and said "Don't do that again" confused I said what did you say? The woman who seems to be in charge hates her job. She was so rude when I came in to drop off a Fed Ex package. Never even got the message that it was shipped. Fingers crossed my package went out ok. She was very rude to the older gentleman who was working the cash register. Just not a pleasant experience. read more

Not a bad Dollar General, we have definitely found some nifty things inside before. I wouldn't recommend buying food here but it's a good place to look for more affordable gifts and some things you may need around the house. Not super clean and often very unorganized but as far as Dollar Generals go, I've definitely seen worse than this one. It's a pretty good size too. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to see some positive changes during my recent visit to this store. They've added some fresh produce, which is nice when I just need a few basics and don't want to make a trip to HEB. They've also extended the chill cases, and they are stocked better. There were still some blocked aisles with rolling flats of items in the way, but not as many as before. They added a self-checkout. The person who checked me out was helpful and friendly. It seems like they're trying, and I want to support them in this effort. They are understaffed, like most local businesses in this difficult economy, but they're trying to make improvements. read more

The girl at the register was so rude I gave her a $20 for bags of ice and gave me 25 cents back. When I asked for my change back she told me I only gave her a $5. Then she opened the register there was my $20 in the $5 slot. Didn't even say sorry and gave me a stank face. I get they don't get paid enough doesn't mean it's right to steal. read more

I love the store! It is always well stocked and very clean for the amount of business they do! Being on the west edge of Dripping Springs they are a convenience without having to go to HEB. Their clerks are super nice! And when they get backed up they're quick to open a second register. Alan the store manager is very conscientious and very friendly! He makes you feel like he recognizes you even though he may not know your name! This is my secondary go to only because they don't sell produce! I buy paper towels toilet paper dog food and coffee at a dramatic savings over HEB. I will always shop here as long as I'm living here! Always friendly always inexpensive!! read more

I just went there for the first time. What a MESS!!! It was so messy I felt claustrophobic, the shelves are all crammed in and things in the shelter also all crammed in. Cheap crap that should cost $1 hardly anything is a dollar. Never going back ugh... read more

Customer service really lacking. Clerk was too involved with the juicy gossip with her co worker and forgot I was waiting for my bag of ice after checking out. She proceeded to check out everyone else in line and completely forgot about me until I went back inside the store. read more

Friendly staff BUT when I used the restroom -GROSS! Approximately 15-20 dead crickets on the floor & 2 still moving. It was filthy! Grossed me out. Didn't even wash my hands it was so filthy. Used my sanitizer :( read more

This is the best Dollar store I've been to and Karen is especially nice. They recently reorganized the store and it's a lot less crowded. I buy several cosmetics there at a third of the price I get them else where . The cheese is fresh and the price is comparable to the local supermarket. They try hard to be nice to everyone and I'm grateful they are my local store. read more

The current manager of this store does such a great job with what she has to work with (small space, tons of inexpensive stuff, etc). I'm in that store on a weekly basis buying supplies for my office and she is upbeat, organized, and polite to her customers and employees. I just ran in to see if they had a very random item (a toy stethoscope for elementary school career day), and not only did they have it but she knew exactly where it was. This current store manager definitely provides a WAY above average experience in a dollar store - I hope they're paying her enough to keep her there! read more

I have never had a problem with any staff until today! There was a staff named Jessica. She is a liar. Let me tell you why! I walk into the store with my 4 kids between the ages of 9-14. The boys immediately walked to the check out where the gift cards were because they wanted an Xbox live thing. The girls were by the candy and I went down an isle in search of some ribbon and bottles water. My girls come up to me and say "mom that lady asked where my mom was and she told me I had to be by you" I immediately asked why what were you doing. They both said nothing they were looking at the candy. As I make my way up to the register to find one of my boys to come and carry the water for me, I hear Jessica say "go by your mom you can't wonder alone" I then said " excuse me! Is something wrong?" She was like "well I asked them where there mother is, they are not supposed to be wondering alone, the kids were running around smacking each other and they were moving my cart!" My daughters immediately defended theirselves and said no mom I told her where you were and we were only looking at the candy and the slippers that were on that table" she said she was going to get mrs Karen. First of all they were not running around because they know better, one of my boys was giggling because he was talking on the phone with one of his cousins! There is nothing bad about laughing. I am a paying customer and I go into the store about 2 x a week. This has never happened, my kids are old enough y yo where I don't have to have them hang on to the cart. They want to pick something for my to buy them, they are kids, so Jessica lied because I told mrs Karen well she said my kids were running, she says " no i didn't say they were running" so why are you picking on my kids? Did you think they were going to steal something because they are Hispanic? Excuse me mrs. We are a Christian family and I am a nurse and my children have no reason to steal! She says I thought they came in by their selves. - oh so now there is an age limit on who can go in the store and purchase things? I mean this is kind of ridiculous. I totally respect Karen but Jessica needs to be talked to and not hate on my Hispanic children! read more
