Huge store ran by the nicest lady (Christine -- owner). Friendly, courteous, helpful, sweet, and appreciated our business....something that is rare from our coastal owners sadly. If you are looking for it, they probably have it. Huge shop that seems to go on and on. Very clean, very well organized, with items for every taste and budget. Scrap-booking, crafts, toys, gifts, notions, party favours, gift wrapping needs, art work, pet toys, jewelry, etc... Decent to great prices on most everything. Items ranged from dollar store level to higher quality. All items were priced well within range. I was having a blast finding toys and games that were similar to what I had as a lad back in ancient times. We also got some great incense (so many scents to choose from!!) and a cool masquerade mask for photo-shoots (our side hobby--- artistic photography). Clatskanie doesn't offer a lot as far as shopping goes, but Discounts and Deals fills the gap well. Do yourself a favour and pop in and say hello. I got towels, socks and some kitchen stuff. The chidrens area is fun for kids and has a variety of toys and clothing in good usable shape. The prices are fair for the quality and it's nice to know that the profits stay on the peninsula to help children and others in need.

I've seen other reviews on this we'll talk about expiration dates, which I think of as a suggestion. There's no way that a box of stuffing mix or other dried good is going to be expired by the time that that date rolls around. But if you're somebody who really pays attention to that you probably should look at the dates before you purchase, for me doesn't matter I'm buying getting a good deals and I'm very happy with this location

However, they did have some kind of odd blinky holiday lights that made annoying noises throughout my visit. You will not miss this place, there is a huge business sign and parking is available on both sides of the lot. I don't know where to begin looking, the store is clutter but it is a good clutter. I am pretty sure you will find something you don't need but actually need here. Just like my experience here. I had fun looking around, Lets see this shop is HUGE! There are sandals, shoes, clothing for mens, womens, children, tshirts, hats, make up, hair accessories, phone accessories, even blankets. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask the owner, she is super friendly. I recall her name is Long. I had fun talking to her and she helped me find what I was looking for. As I mentioned I found 2 items that I didn't need but needed. I saw 2 hats , I didn't think I needed it but bought it for my mom and good friend. ( they both love hats!) I came to shop not looking for hats and not needing it but then I am so glad I bought them because my mom and good friend loved the hats. I also bought those funny saying shirts to give away as souvenirs. They are pretty funny! I was able to use my 20 percent Yelp check in and I am so happy to discover a new place in Portland. I noticed the blankets are cheap, they are the really soft blankets which comes in different color, prints, and even comes with a bag. I remember those blankets, during my childhood days my mom used to buy that blanket for us and I remember they cost more than what Portland Closeout sells them for. I am going to buy a blanket next time I visit. After paying for my items, Long mentioned that her husband is at the store across. Note: Portland Closeout is in 2 separate shop. The store is in front where Long's husband manage has all household items for your kitchen, home and garden which includes furniture, plants, even paintings. This store does look clutter as well, but its a good clutter!! I noticed children's bicycles out in front. This store has EVERYTHING!! Overall, I love how I discovered this place and I enjoyed my shopping experience here. I will be back.
