Why is this ALWAYS so (F)reaking Good?!? (Turkey Bacon cream cheese wrap)
Oneta U.

Update: this WAS 5 star but this place has tanked (no pun intended). We come through for wraps almost every Sunday and for the 3rd time they were OUT. Made a crap ton of sandwiches but no wraps. Their ladies bathroom was out of soap. Excellent wraps and choice of healthier food if you look in the refrigerated section. Don't worry they also have a great selection of fried food and other favorites.

Front entrance on south side of Industrial Way.

I had to do an updated review, I come here too often to NOT. It's been over four years since my…read morelast review, so let's check in. I can't speak on the gas prices, because I don't come here to get gas. But as for the pumps themselves, they look clean and easy to use. Major pro, because sometimes that's not the case. As for the minit mart, man oh man is it one of my favorites. It always has a selection of beverages I'm looking for...and often has new varieties available a few days or even a week, before release. Prices aren't terrible either. It's a relatively clean minit mart too. Also relatively spacious, and I'm drawing a blank...but there's diner tables I think? I'm 99% certain. As for the non-beverage selection, always stellar too. ON TOP OF the hot food at the register. I live in an unusual setting, we have a whole three-story building to ourselves. There's a minit mart across the street...no hot food. This place satisfies that urge. Now for the main event: the chicken on top of the building. I call this "the chicken store" and my FRIENDS know where I mean. This IS the chicken store. I always saw that chicken as a very young child, and wanted to go there. As for employees, you know I've never seen the same worker twice. I've never had any problems, though. I just can't name a particularly outstanding person. Overall, this checks every box. Clean gas station, clean minit mart with good selection, and a chicken on the roof...maybe that last box doesn't need to be checked everywhere. I can't recommend this place enough!

Now that this has been a Marathon for a couple years, have there been drastic changes? For the…read morebetter or for the worse? Let's find out. I still won't be talking smack about the old owners or location, but while it was less than stellar, it was consistent. This place has definitely made a few improvements, but has seemed to get to the place they'll be at for the foreseeable future...hopefully meaning a bit more consistency in overall quality. First, employees. All of them are kind, with good customer service. They've slowly hired a few additional people, but you'll get to know their few employees if you're a regular. However, they're not the best at keeping the convenience store fully stocked. There were talks for a while about adding hot food, that I'm super happy to say have finally been implemented. It has brought me much joy, because they added Krispy Krunchy Chicken. It's one of my favorite chicken places, and shockingly high quality for gas station restaurants. That has continued its streak at this establishment, thankfully. It's also keeping my overall score positive. Which brings me to the convenience store. It's essentially the same, except frequently not stocked in certain areas. They're hit or miss on having the new items as well. I'd say they'll work for regular items the average consumer is looking to find, and the prices are about average. It can also feel less clean and more cramped inside, but that isn't atypical for convenience stores, or particularly frustrating at this location. Onto the gas prices. They were some of the cheapest in the area, but are now closer to average. I think it's experienced a decline in traffic for that reason. Overall, it's maybe about the same as when it was first made a Marathon (from the previous Shell.) Their employees are incredibly nice and accommodating, so you should have a pleasant enough experience.

I absolutely HAD to update my review. It says it has been 7 years? Where do I begin? This is one of…read moremy most frequented establishments ever. I grew up going here a lot, and still go as much as I can. Let's begin with the employees. I know many of them very well, and even if I didn't they'd be great workers. They're fast and friendly. Gas prices are usually some of the cheapest around, but their pumps and overall station are something amazing. I personally am not sure I've ever experienced better pumps, better amenities around it, or a cleaner station in general. It's got an amazing atmosphere during the day, and if it's not too busy at night it's good too. Most everything feels clean, the station is well lit, and the convenience store doesn't just fall in line with your average ampm. I feel they've optimized it for the best walkthrough experience, but a lot of my thoughts on anything about this establishment could very easily be biased. They have amazing hot food! They don't just do the average gas station food, which is commendable. Along with seemingly 50 fountain drink options rivaling Coke Freestyle or Pepsi Spire, and a coffee and hot chocolate station, there's everything you need here when combined with the "cold" food and drinks in the rest of the store. Their bathroom can be questionable, but just look at the electric vehicle charger in front of it and pretend they don't have a bathroom. It'll maybe even help you feel less cramped in the parking lot, and less upset about the lack of parking spots. Those are very small complaints and only an issue during peak hours. Overall, this is one of my all-time favorite gas stations. Aside from the occasional missing food or beverage upon their release, and the previous small inconveniences I mentioned, I love stopping by here. OH! Super cheap prices in store, not just out. Their fountain prices are probably unbeatable, and the hot food is probably better priced than fast food. Plus you get it quicker. Alright, that's all. I love this place.

I highly recommend all ampm's. However, if I were to rank the ones in the county, this would…read moreunfortunately be last place. Let's start with the pros: the gas station. It has a gas station outside, of course. It's exactly what you'd expect, all hours of the day. No issues there. Same lower than average prices. I've got no problems with their gas. But, if you pay with cash, beware of the inside. Unfortunately, I've come here semi-regularly for the last few years. I'd still come at least a couple times a year, before I moved to living closer to it in 2020. I can confidently say, I've never seen this location hire a good cashier. Most don't enjoy their job. Or they'll do a bad job, amongst all other critiques people have for employees. I once witnessed a very personal argument between two employees, because they were yelling at each other as loud as they possibly could. It's really a night and day difference from the Kelso location, which holds their employees better and hires better ones too. It's got a terrible ambiance because of that, and because of the customers who roll in. You're gonna see the usual odd customers of Longview, to put it kindly. It's also just a dirtier feeling store overall, especially when compared to Kelso. However I will say, they seem to keep their stocking situation in a good place. You may not find hot food, which is unfortunately generally the case with most ampm's the past few years, but otherwise this should have what you expect from ampm. Here's a way to describe it: if they had a good cashier, then it'd probably be a pretty good location. You see odd people all around town, so that's not make or break for me. I've unfortunately never managed to purchase any hot food at this establishment, they're always out. If it's anything like other ampm's, it's pretty tasty, affordable and very hot. Is there anything else to say? I guess I could include that I overall love "ampm" and will have no problem stopping by here. The employees being bad aren't exactly an uncommon thing in town. Overall, this establishment is a bit more suspect than you'd expect considering its location. It keeps things in stock, has a good gas station, and shouldn't be too deterring to locals. Visitors might be a different story, because employees can't be kept, and aren't good enough to necessarily be sad about that. My actual rating would be 5/10, but considering Yelp is five stars and not ten stars, I'll round down to two stars since I overall don't love the establishment.

But let's move on to the things that are just as good. Outstanding customer service. Employees know what they're doing, they're efficient and friendly. I was in a line just today, and it went through fast. Gas pumps are good, and the gas prices aren't the highest or the lowest. Easy access to the pumps. Enough parking, but also right next to a big parking lot if there isn't. Inside is very clean. Fridges are really cold. Selection is good, prices are good. They may even carry food or drink that's not super common elsewhere. What else can I say? If you love the original Boondox location, you'll love this location as well. Please check them out. They've been doing well so far, but I know the original location is a mainstay. Don't sleep on this.

What a horrible way to treat people. They may have a good selection of vapes but they are $10 more per vape than other stores and with a return policy like that I will never return there. I expected better from a locally owned business.

PSA: this used to be a Chevron. It's now a Sinclair…read more Where do I even begin with this establishment? It's tough to decide, because there are some major issues. I'm being very generous with my three out of five star rating on here. Let's start positive, I guess? I have always had no problems with the employees. There's usually a lot of them, this location usually has a high job turnaround, but the employees are always nice and ALMOST always friendly and talkative to boot. Another HUGE positive for me is their massive drink selection. I'm not referring to alcohol, because I don't drink. Never have, never will. But their selection somehow used to be even bigger, before they added the beer cave. It's still insane, and it's better than the food selection which already good. They have a reasonably big convenience store in general. But their drink selection isn't just big, they mostly get new things on time...or even before they're released. Sometimes WELL before the release date. So, there are my positives. Onto the unfortunate negatives. Maybe I'll just keep them brief. I hate talking negatively. First, the obvious. They have many photos of shoplifters up. Ever since they added the beer cave, which I believe is one of the biggest in town for convenience stores...the quality of clientele has deteriorated. Many customers are shoplifting now, to the point their photos get on the window outside...so, yeah. More homeless people, odd people, or both are starting to show up as well, hanging around outside or sometimes walking through inside. It's nothing crazy, but it's a huge change. This location is dead center of Kelso, the main road Allen Street, and just obviously used to be more busy with more out-of-towners and regular folks alike. Nobody has personally bothered me, anyone I know, or even just people in general from what I've heard. So, I think it's just starting to become an average location in town, which isn't inherently a problem. So that's why I'm able to give the generous three out of five star rating. I'm also able to get the rating slightly higher because, there are now plenty of periods where it's completely vacant, when it used to still be pretty busy. Nobody getting gas, shopping inside, or hanging out around the outside. So, if you time it right, you could be completely alone. Let's do another positive, because I really REALLY hate being negative. (But I also really hate dishonesty.) Their hot food selection is great. There's a wide variety of options, it's always in stock, and it's pretty affordable. I don't get their hot food A LOT, but it's ALWAYS tempting. Okay, back to another negative...and it's also associated with the new visitors. This location has started to become more dirty and messy. Outside it's starting to look worse, which is a huge issue considering they've NEVER had enough parking spots. Or enough parking spots that you can easily get out of. OR enough gas pumps, or gas pumps that are easy to maneuver when attempting to enter or exit. Inside, it's starting to feel cluttered and unkempt, along with also starting to feel dirty. Which is just unfortunate. I know it sounds like I'm low on this establishment, but I'm really not. It just used to be a much nicer location, and seeing its quality decline is disappointing. Especially considering they're now a Sinclair. I don't know if that necessarily means anything else new would occur. But a rebrand, to me, feels like the time to do so. Overall, you're unfortunately gonna find that this establishment is cluttered. Dirtier than before, with more shoplifting and interesting folks around. But for the many flaws, they make up for it with the inside the convenience store, with the fact that you should be able to stop by and have no issues with anyone, and with the how central the location is. Man, I hate speaking negatively. I hope this wasn't a bad review. Or a cluttered one, like the store.

Instead of handling the situation professionally, she accused me of stealing, used extremely offensive language toward me, and involved the manager. The manager witnessed the situation, did nothing to address the employee's behavior, and told me to leave the store. I did nothing wrong and was treated with complete disrespect. No customer should ever be spoken to that way. Very disappointing experience.
