I ended up meeting and working with Stephen Henry Clay at Jim Sullivan realty. We haven't bought a property yet, but I want to put it out there for anyone else looking for property in this amazing area, I definitely recommend "Henry". He's extremely knowledgable of the area, he was a postmaster in the area for 27 years! He's fun, curious, responsive, and very intuitive. He would pick up on my conversational whims and respond quickly with properties that fit. I'd still like to buy something eventually but for now if all I can offer up is a great review for a good person. Here it is...

We had a dip/belly in our main sewer line that needed to be replaced. Molitor Plumbing was sent by…read moreour insurance company to replace the main sewer line. We didn't receive a courtesy call or heads up until 2 hours before they were coming. Some notice would have been helpful because we would have been able to save the flowers/decorative stones and notify our tenants beforehand. Adam Molitor lead this project and informed us at the end of that day that their work was done. They didn't level the yard or repack the dirt underneath the sidewalk, leaving large dips all over the yard and hollow spaces under the sidewalk. We would not be able to re-seed the yard the way they left it, and more importantly with no support underneath the sidewalk it will eventually collapse or crack. They also cracked a 2 ft section on our main driveway in the process, and when we mentioned these concerns to Adam his suggestion was for us to remove the sidewalk completely and leave that area with dirt, and "your driveway was brittle, so it was likely to break anyways". Because they did not get a permit prior to doing this job, no inspection was done after the job. With all the issues we were seeing, we decided to get the main sewer line scoped just to make sure everything was good. It was then that we found out that the old sewer line was still there and no new sewer line was put in. We called Molitor's office to inquire, and the office manager said to his knowledge the work was indeed completed. We also left a voice mail for Adam to call us back; no return call from Adam. We did receive a call from their office a few days later stating that we must have misunderstood Adam and they were planning to come back. I'm not sure why anyone would go through the trouble of putting the dirt back if they were planning to come back to finish the work. The insurance company got billed for the whole scope of work in the meantime. We then requested to have another company come to finish the work. This company got a permit, removed all the old sewer line and took a lot of pictures to show their work, and had the city inspector come to sign off on the work afterwards. They had to tear up the yard again and did not find any new sewer line put in by Molitor. We have worked with many companies in the past and we have never experienced anything like this. Not only did they not fix the problem, they didn't seem to care what damages they caused in the process, and billed for something they did not do. I would urge you to ask a lot of questions and ask for pictures and proof of work afterwards if you choose to use this company.

Meticulous, detailed and not satisfied unless it was perfect. We had contacted several contractors and got only one quote and it was a partial. Then a friend said call Quinn Construction. Quinn Construction was turn key, cabinets, wood floor, painting and all of the detail work. Trish and I could not be happier with their craftmanship. If you own an older home you know that any remodeling project the unexpected is an absolute certainty. Didnt matter it was overcome. We strongly recommend them. You will not be dissapointed. There was no further damage but given the age of the roof, the insurance company's underwriters let us know we should replace it. Josh and his crew were able to complete the roof work (including inspection with the shingles off) and we are very satisfied with the work and the crew. They were fantastic, efficient and very reasonable on cost. The roof color Josh recommended is beautiful! It's Desert Rose I believe. The overall experience of the repair as well as the roof replacement were top notch. We have no complaints. We highly recommend Hardyman Roofing for repairs and replacement. Five stars for craftsmanship, for the customer service and again, for everything. I have also asked him to repaint and repair my siding in some hard to reach places as well.

After two hours he disassembled it, drilled the door hole bigger to accommodate a larger bolt he had with him but then decided he would just order a new lock. So he put the original lock back in which by now was not working at all. The only lock on our front door. Ken said it would take two weeks. Four weeks and several polite calls to him asking about his return I began getting no answers. One time he said they sent the wrong part, the next time he just forgot but would get right on it. That was our last communication. He abandoned the job completely and left us with no working front door lock. I had Freeport glass repair his mess. Poor customer service, no mask, and left a mess of wood shavings on our floor. Would not recommend at all, for anything. Kurt
