I contacted Mark at Ground Up Construction and he told me what they should do to fix my leaks. He recommended taking out the 4 sky lights and redoing the complete back side of the house and extension. A few days later i got a quote from him, a list of everything they would do, and a price to do it all. He mentioned it wold take a day with a full crew. Unfortunately because of the complexity of the roof and skylights, it took 3 days! He said it took longer than expected but would rather have it done right, than rush the job and have to come back and repair anything for free if it leaked. Him and his workers were just awsome people! very profesional, and hard workers. I spent the entire 3 days on the roof with them just to see what and how they were doing it. They answered any questions i had, explained why they did what they were doing, and it was just one of the best experiences i have had in a long time (i am by no means a handy man or any good at things like that). i was sweating on day 2 that it was going to cost me more than contracted at because of the extra work and effort they put in, but to my surprise i paid exactly what i was quoted at in the beggining. Mark and his crew especially went above and beyond what any other team would do. I cant say enough good things about thier work or the workers themselves. I am one happy camper with everything that was done. I will definatley hire them again when its time to roof my garage!

Basically our whole finished basement had water damage. They came out promptly with equipment too get us dried out. Over the next 10 days they finished drying out the carpet and dry wall. They treated the carpet to prevent any mold. After that they steam cleaned the carpet. Their team was always professional and respectful. I also recommend the following: 1. Add a penalty clause for work going past their original estimated completion date. In our case, the job took more than two months past their original completion date at great inconvenience. 2. Be very precise about everything you want, down to number of circuits, outlets, precise trim, etc. 3. Don't just discuss any extra work that might be needed, get a written estimate for your approval. They have a $55/hour charge for extra work. Ask for an exact accounting for how the $55 was allocated. Write in the contract that all extra charges that are over the original estimate must be approved *in writing*. Our final cost was almost 20% more than the original estimate.
