They have so many flavors of gelato!! I have yet to try a flavor I didn't like. The gelato is incredibly creamy and packed with flavor. The portions are pretty small for the price, but it's still worth it. Their coffee is also on point! Both occasions that I stopped in I was greeted right away. Dolcezza is a must in D.C. While you're there make sure you order a iced vanilla bean latte. Not to be dramatic, but my husband and I order it every chance we get. I don't care if snows on the ground. But seriously, Dolcezza at CityCenterDC is so cute and in the perfect spot. It can get pretty crowded & I would suggest visiting it during the week days if your planning on doing work. The weekends usually have a larger crowd, especially around the holidays. The server was so enthusiastic about us trying the different flavors - "You HAVE to try this flavor" "you can't not try gelato in a gelato shop!" "Hey I didn't hear you pick a flavor to try yet" and all the flavors were so yummy, it was difficult to choose two! I ultimately decided on the mascarpone and berries and the dark chocolate, which were absolutely amazing. My boyfriend was more adventurous and had honey avocado lemon and roasted strawberry. My friend resisted the server and only ordered coffee (though he liked the flavors too.) Came here after eating at Momofuku for some yummy dessert. I'm a chocolate girl through and through and I opted for something a little different this time around. Wow, this is probably the best Dolcezza I've been to so far! I've been to the one in Mosaic District and the one at the Wharf. I think it may have been because I came to this one at 8 or 8:30PM, but it wasn't crowded at all and we got quick and friendly service. The mascarpone and berries gelato is absolutely heavenly, and I don't usually describe gelato as heavenly, so you know it's good. The salted caramel was also delectable. The size of the cup is pretty small if you get a small, but man do they pack the gelato in there! Don't worry about not getting enough. Of course, Dolcezza is pricey, but remember that you're getting gelato made with locally sourced ingredients! The location in CityCenter is really nice, especially all lit up at night. It's convenient to Metro Center and Gallery Place Metro stations. read more

I am a huge fan of Dolcezza. These days I tend to just buy their pints at Whole Foods but when I visit a location, it's a vibe. City Center itself is a vibe and the Dolcezza here gives me European contemporary chic...or what I think it is :-) The decor is modern and sleek and the floors make for a great Instagram photo. But back to the goods! I've had gelato and cafe drinks and snacks. Overall, I'm mostly in love with the gelato. Give me all the stracciatella. ALL. OF. IT. It is both creamy and dreamy flavor. The baked goods are good too with my favorite being the almond croissant. Service is generally friendly as well. The only downside is that the latte art is very inconsistent. When you splurge (and let's be real, prices are not cheap here), your drink should be quality in both taste and appearance...consistently. I want an experience when I am there! Overall, I recommend Dolcezza for a nice treat. Here's to getting the latte art game on lock! read more

Gelato! Great creamy gelato. I absolutely loved the milk chocolate gelato that I got. After a long hot and sunny day of walking around DC, it's clear that you get thirsty and crave something cold and creamy. What better treat than passing by and getting a gelato to cool off and continue to wander off in DC. I also loved the fact that they had some creative lattes that I haven't seen before. They had a dulce de leche latte which was surprisingly pretty good. I also got a mocha latte which tasted so good! This is just a really badly managed venue. I recently decided to venture back after a shocking previous experience at this location, and although there were only about 5 or 6 customers there, all 3 staff were just hanging around having fun and on their phones, while leaving trash over-flowing. See the pictures. The trash was overflowing when I arrived, and 45 minutes later when I left, it was still there, completely ignored by staff. Staff just don't give a damn, clearly have no training, and no effective management. Such unsanitary conditions are a huge turn-off. read more

I really love this location of Dolcezza. It's right in City Center DC and by far some of the best gelato and sorbet in this town has seen. They have several locations, but I think this is my favorite for many reasons. First and foremost, you can go on a date night to see all the modern architecture of City Center while taking a stroll and enjoy your gelato. You could simply stop by here for dessert after having a dinner at one of the surrounding eateries in the area or if you just want a sweet tooth fix - they can accommodate your crave. It is fantastic! They have a variety of flavors that are ever changing. Sometimes they have the same ones year-round, but they like having a creative menu of options. Docezza also offers coffee and free wifi. Seating isn't completely limited, but I would say it is more often so than not when someone comes in and gets their fix before departing. I truly enjoy this place and come here often. I could go on and on about how great this place is, but go try one of their locations to see what it is all about. If you don't, you're missing out on an opportunity you will regret later you didn't take! read more

Wow the line for parlor on a Friday at 2 pm shocked me! There were just so many people! They have two lines actually one for the cafe (which I didn't partake in) and the other for gelatto/sorbetto. The lines move fast however so don't let that deter you. Wow, both the gelato or and sorbet were fantastically creamy creamy (yes sorbet can be creamy as well if made right!). We had the tiramisu (always a great classic) and the vanilla/cardamom/ricotta (which was so so delicious like a cheesecake met a chai latte). For sorbetto, we had the avocado clementine mint which was so delicious and refreshing. Not too sweet and just what you would desire on a hot day. I wish we could have tried more flavors but all the more reason to come back to DC. read more

I got the Blueberry lavender and marscapone&berries. They also had more conventional flavors like pistachio and stracciatella, and new takes on classics like roasted strawberry and Mexican coffee. The small with the 2 flavors ended up being a bit more than 6$. My friend got the Blueberry lavender push pop ($3) which I don't recommend for a very hot day (which it was) as it will run down the tube and all over your fingers. read more

The place is bright, there are tons of cool gelato and sorbet flavors you could combine, but the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the employees almost make you feel rushed into a decision.
