Soft music in the background was very pleasant and did not intrude on your conversation. I noticed acoustic panels on the ceiling to help absorb noise. I really appreciate that as I do not like restaurants where the din voices overpowers everything. The house was very nice and accommodated my seating request. He explained a bit about the Restaurant and the special menu for that evening. On Wednesdays they have a prefix menu that you can choose or you can do the à la carte regular menu. We started with the. Patata appetizer, which is basically fried mashed potatoes serve served with an aïoli, which had just enough space to let you know it was there. Very good. Next, we shared the risotto which was served with spring vegetables and scallops. The risotto was excellent. Al Dante along with the vegetables. The tomatoes just burst in your mouth. Personally, I found the scallops to be too salty, but My Husband enjoyed it. For our main course, we shared the roast chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked well and very flavorful. My only disappointment was that it is only a thigh and a leg and I do not care for dark meat. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience.

The small Caesar was pretty big and good for splitting between two people. The linguine with pesto cream tasted good, but felt like something I could've made at home. The noodles didn't taste homemade and were a little aldente and the sauce wasn't anything extraordinary. The gnocchis were definitely the best thing we got. The jalepeno cream sauce was definitely unique and not too spicy and the gnocchis were super soft and pillowy. Would go back and just get gnocchi.

The kids kept it simple with butter noodles and loved them, while my wife had a pizza and salad, both of which were very good. I had the lamb chops, which were flavorful, tender, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. I also tried the Puglia red wine flight, which was a fun addition and paired really well with dinner. Overall, Macello delivered on both the food and the environment. It's a great spot when you want a quality Italian dinner that works just as well for the kids as it does for the adults. We'd definitely come back.

I have been hearing a lot about Elina's and was excited to try it out recently. I enjoyed my meal…read morebut thought the service and vibes were just ok. It all just felt a little too trendy and "instagrammable" to me. We started with some wine, the Caesar salad, and the baked clams. Wine was good, Caesar salad was fantastic, and clams were ok - the bacon didn't really work for me and there was way too many breadcrumbs, it felt like they totally drowned out the clams. We saw other guests with bread that looked good but didn't see it on the menu, so my date asked the waitress if bread came out with dinner or if we needed to order it. She looked at me and said "Now YOU must've been looking us up on Instagram!! Yes it's our special surprise... the bread comes out with dinner!" Special Surprise Bread was comically gimmicky to me, and for the record we hadn't seen anything on instagram the people next to us just had it and it looked good! And to top it all off, it wasn't even that good at all!! It was very basic white bread with some marinara sauce on top, could've been frozen bread heated up in the oven. It was fine, can't complain about free bread, but clearly the instagram allegations got to me... For our main course, we had chicken parm and the vodka rigatoni. Chicken parm isn't my favorite to begin with, but it was pretty good. I liked that the piece of chicken was thin and the breading was delicious. Vodka rigatoni was probably my favorite part, very tasty. The ambiance overall was nice, very small and intimate dining room. Overall, I enjoyed my meal but didn't love it. The interior is small and cozy which also meant that it filled up quickly as the night went on. There is also a patio in the back but it was raining when we came. The AC was on full blast but they were kind enough to turn it off when they realized we were chilly. We shared the fritto misto of cuttlefish and shrimp with fried lemon which was crispy and delicious. All of their primi dishes can be upgraded to an entrée portion. I had the daily risotto which happened to be duck and upgraded it to an entrée portion to share with my child. It was just enough food for the two of us (she also filled up on bread beforehand). Hubby had the browned butter and sage gnocchi as an entrée size which was smaller than expected and he polished off any leftovers from the table after finishing his meal. I enjoyed the gnocchi more than my dish even though risotto is one of my favorite Italian dishes. There was bone in my risotto and the flavor was just okay. The gnocchi had a good chew and the brown butter and sage went perfectly in this dish. We shared a panna cotta with Nebbiolo reduction for dessert. The texture was good but the sauce tasted slightly artificial. Overall, service was good and enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.
