Kareem is absolutely amazing at his craft. I wouldn't go to anyone else for my cut or colour. this salon is truly a gem!

Walked out of the salon with a haircut that I did not want. I am embarrassed to be seen in my workplace with this cut. The stylist are over confident and over priced and therefore think they do not have to listen to their customers. I will NEVER go back to this salon. read more

if you are handicapped stay away from Dolce Salon. I went there for the second time on Friday to have my hair washed and blown out. 2 of the men who work in the salon helped me transfer from my wheelchair to the sink. After paying this Kathryn (not my stylist) showed up and told me that if I wanted to return i would need to bring someone to help me transfer . I live by myself in a retirement home, so NO I don't he anyone to help me. i am recently handicapped with rare disease. I left feeling very hurt read more

This is my regular hair spot! Kathryn does my hair every time and is a dream! I have very curly, dry hair. She knows exactly how to cut it and shows me how to style it to get the most out of my curls. She is knowledgeable about what products I can use to get what I want out of my hair. I would highly recommend checking out Dolce and asking for Kathryn! read more

Vivien is amazing! Went to Dolce for the first time because I got a bad haircut somewhere else. I read on their website that Vivien was specialized in short and pixie cut. My hair was very short and looked awful. Viven gabe me a beautiful haircut and my self-esteem back. Definitely I'll be going back to see her. Also, staff was very nice and polite. Thank you, Vivien and Dolce staff. read more

I don't think I've written a yelp review in years, but when service is that good, you just have to pay it forward. I'm a fairly new client to Dolce, but with that being said, I feel as though I have been a part of the 'dolce family' for years. From the friendly and welcoming staff to the trendy interior, it's hard not to feel right at home - and that isn't even to do with the hair services offered! It is clear that Kareem, along with the dolce team, are passionate about what they do. They truly strive to go above and beyond your expectations and I've yet to be disappointed in the end result. I've tried many salons over the years and I guess I feel very fortunate to have found a salon that values all of their clientele, (whether young, old, family or individual), to the extent that this salon does. It is a key part of the service here that large-scale salons cannot compete with and it is the main reason I keep coming back. Thank you to the dolce team and I look forward to seeing you at my next appointment! read more

I made an appointment for hair cut and for color and they told me that i have to pay them a deposit $100 upfront for hair color! In case if i am not coming to do it! This is ridiculous. This never ever happened before in my life. I do not recommend this salon for their ridiculous policies. read more

I was actually recommended to come here and honestly I feel that the price is worth the service! I love going to Kat, she is super awesome and great energy! The feel of the overall salon is great and everyone is super friendly! read more

I've been going to Dolce for a long time now, and my hair always looks fantastic afterwards! I've seen a number of stylists and they always make my hair look amazing. I also get my eyebrows tinted and waxed here and it it the ONLY place I've ever been satisfied with them. Really expensive, so I rarely go, but always have a great experience. read more

Amazing! I've always been extremely hesitant with getting my hair cut and coloured but at Dolce I was instantly appeased. Kareem made me feel comfortable, and listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and made it even better than the photo I used as a reference. Hands down the best stylist I have ever gone to! I've received so many compliments on my hair and I would recommend Kareem to anyone. The staff at Dolce do an incredible job at making you feel at home. read more

Like the last person posting, I have been going to Dolce for quite some time. I really like my stylist, Heather but she is away . In her absence, I did not have a preference for someone to cut my son's hair. We came by on the previous night hoping to get a walk in appointment. When that was unavailable and while we were in clear sight, we made an appointment for the following morning. We walked in and the stylist, greeted us with, " this will be interesting". Did I mention my son was black? There was only one other chair in use, so I think they chose this guy on purpose. He did not touch my son's hair, but pointed to it. We described the cut and he asked my 10 year old son which blade several times, even after I explained that he was 10 and had no idea. The cut was short on sides and longer on top. I then put fauxhawk into my phone and showed him several different examples. The first one was a white kid, well that wouldn't work, the second a black kid but my son's hair was shorter on top and the third was a black guy who's hair looked like little springs. The hairdresser informed me that - THEY get perms to get their hair to look like that. I mentioned that my son's hair looked exactly like that when it was clean. He told me it wasn't . I guess all black guys have identical hair. I hopped up found a manager who seemed nice but not helpful and I left. We popped into Master Cuts and a woman about 55 who was not in any way trying to look hip, greeted us at the door. We told her what we wanted and she said sure. I asked again to make sure and she looked at me like I was crazy, she was after all a hairdresser and this was hair. Probably saved $40.00 and he loves his hair. read more

I couldn't believe a business could run like this. I went in there for the first and last time for a cut and color. My "stylist" immediately tells me it's going to cost $220 because I have dark hair. (I have been getting my hair colored for years and it has never cost even close to that amount). I said ok because I was on my way out of town and this was the only place I could find that had a last minute appointment. This was a huge mistake, I should have just walked out when I heard that price-point. My hair came out EXACTLY the same colour I started with. $220 for nothing. And the haircut was terrible, I told her I was trying to grow out my hair and she gave me a bob that was way too short. The worst part of it all was that during my cut and colour she was suggesting products for me to use, when I came out to pay all of these products ($300+ worth) were already wrapped up and added to my bill, without ever even asking me if I wanted to buy them, or telling me a price. So unethical. Stay away!! read more

Dolce rocks my world. I have been going there for years now and I love their new location in the mall. It's modern, clean, and has a great vibe. Kareem is amazing in every way. He actually does my hair and my kids too. They have tons of products to choose from if you want to buy stuff there. I tried Dolce years ago cause of their convenient location at MarketMall but now I would follow them wherever cause they are professional, talented, and Kareem always gives me the most up to date colour and style. My mother in law even just switched to Dolce! I suggest Dolce if you want convenience, current styles, a lux experience and happy atmosphere. It's like a downtown experience with the easy location of MarketMall! read more

Grossly overpriced, unskilled stylists, and a shoddy result. I had to go to the Ginger Group to get my hair fixed, and looked ridiculous for the Christmas season. My bangs were insanely short, uneven, and the colour she used looked patchy and awful. I would've done better at supercuts or with box dye, for several hundred dollars less. read more

Horrible to staff Rude Way over priced Wouldn't have given them 1 star if I didn't have to! read more

I had a great experience at this salon. Checking in for my trim appointment with Merline was easy and the receptionist provided great service by offering to take my jacket as well as offering me a beverage. Merline greeted me and brought me back and we had a great chat. She's the sweetest! Merline is great at understanding what I want and what my concerns are for my hair. I left the salon feeling refreshed and beautiful. Thank you Merline! read more

I recieved the worst service from this salon. I arrived and asked if they could fit me in, they said yes, return later in the afternoon at a specific time. I did return after wasting an hour and a half walking the mall with my daughters to learn that they could not actually fit me in. I will never take my daughters there again and I will go and spend $300 on a haircut just to avoid stepping even one foot in this salon again read more

I see Olga for waxing. She is great! Really quick, does an excellent job, fun to chat with, and reasonably priced. I am terrible at guessing how often I'll need a waxing appointment, but Dolce is great because I can usually get in the same day or within a couple of days at most. The front desk staff have always been polite and helpful. read more

Pretty disappointed by my color correction. I saw Amanda McGuire, she wasn't too friendly which made the two hours very uncomfortable. She said she'd texturize my hair and before I could reply she already started...then I was charged for a full haircut at the till. She didn't shampoo my hair at all leaving it very gross with god knows what was still in my hair then I washed my hair two days later & it was brassy as ever!! Rather than endure a long sit again, I bought a $20 box dye & dyed it back. $200 wasted at Dolce. read more

I have been seeing Kristy for years, I follow her anywhere she goes! She's been at Dolce quite awhile now and we both agree it's a great salon to visit and work for. Staff are always happy, smiling, inviting and it's a great environment to be in. The reason I will only see Kristy is because I've got very thick, long curly hair. I can't even count how many hairdressers have told me that they know how to cut curly hair and I end up looking like a poodle lol Kristy is amazingly talented, in my cuts and colors! I've been so happy with her work that I've referred friends as well! read more

I have been going to Dolce for the past 5 years or so and I hate to say this, I won't be going back. Today, I went in for my appointment and I had to wait for almost half an hour - the reason - they got busy. Well, aren't we all busy? I would have appreciated the receptionist to phone me if they were indeed running late because of the circumstances. Neither the receptionist nor the stylist cared enough to apologize and when I brought it to the receptionist's attention that I had waited for half an hour, all I got was "its not my fault" but aren't you running a business here? The stylist was just plain old rude, obnoxious, didn't even offer a smile and even dared send me off to sit under a drying booth so she could attend another client while my hair dries on its own. Overall, I'd say save your $70 and go to a place where they'd treat you like a human being for the very least. Not coming back. read more

I went here to get highlights, and came in the week prior to see if I could get the purple/blue that I wanted since they are fashion colours and not a lot of salons here do them. I went to see Amanda McGuire as I saw on her fb that she does a lot of these colours. To make a long story short I was there from 12-4 and came out with the same colour - my natural that I went in with. She didn't bleach me out enough and the colour went from the indigo I had chosen to an ugly brown 3/4 of the way down on each part, she acted surprised when as a stylist you are supposed to know what you need to take me down to. Then I get to the till to get charged $157 this was the lower price for the fact I didn't get what I wanted but got my natural refreshed. I was beyond mad and still am. 4 hours of my day wasted and she wanted me to sit for another hour and half to "fix" it, no thanks you already wasted and ruined my day not to mention bleached my hair out for nothing. I would never ever go here again. read more
