BabyCakes Sampler Box with 2 Cinnamon Churro, 2 Chocolate, 1 Italian Rum Butter, 1 Lemon Citrus, 1 Red Velvet, & 1 Unicornfetti!

Stumbled upon this delectable local gem while prowling Monrovia's Friday night farmers market for dessert - what a sweet treat! We got a BabyCakes sampler and a mini Bundt - all the flavors were wonderful - I even liked their red velvet cake and I never like red velvet lol! For the mini Bundt, we tried their strawberry cake with raspberry icing and it was lovely! Our BabyCakes sampler had six flavors as follows: 2 Cinnamon Churro, 2 Chocolate, 1 Italian Rum Butter, 1 Lemon Citrus, 1 Red Velvet, & 1 Unicornfetti. All the flavors are fantastic- definitely taste according to their names. And the textures are perfectly moist and spongy - even after being refrigerated for 3 days - impressive! The lemon, strawberry, and churro were our faves. Dolce Monachelli is known for their farmers market stands which is where I found them - but they also have a store front in Fullerton. They ship their cakes all over the country as well if you order via their website (except for the BabyCakes sampler bc it doesn't ship well). Prices are reasonable given the quality. Staff at the market stall were very welcoming and they offer samples of their popular Italian rum butter. I'll definitely be seeking them out at our local weekly farmers market again!

These are the best Bundt cakes I've ever had. They have a variety of flavors but my favorite is the chocolate cappuccino. And the cakes are so moist it basically melts into your mouth. The service has always been good-- I've been to two different farmers markets where they were setup. Both times the people behind the table were knowledgeable and friendly.

Mini bundt cake pricing as of 2/12/24 - 3 for $14, 4 for $17, 6 for $25.

My bond with these yummy mini bundt cakes transcends over a decade now - I remember when they would set up shop at the quarterly Vendor Fairs that UCI hosts. I stopped by early this evening to pick up more yummy treats. Dolce Monachelli's is a family-owned business with a retail store in Fullerton. I'm all about supporting local businesses, but the fact that I've bought bundt cakes from them way back when I was a UCI student, definitely has meaning. While their prices have gone up since my last visit (who hasn't/can't blame them) - the mini bundt cakes are just as delicious as I remember. I used to be able to pick up 3 for $10, now they are 3 for $14 or 4 for $17. Still a great deal - and you'll agree too upon first bite. Service is friendly and cheerful as usual - they offer you a sample right as you walk up. I already knew what flavors I wanted and wanted to try - picked up 2x Carrot Cake, 1x Chocolate Whiskey and 1x Chocolate Cappuccino. Chris sufficiently answered my question about what their frosting was like compared to "Nothing Bundt Cakes" - where I typically buy my bundt cakes from (more widely available). He said it was cream cheese based, and a little less sweet - which I totally agree with. My plan is to ravenously devour these four today (Monday), so if there's any more flavors I crave, I can stop by sometime before the end of the week, since they're setting up shop at UCI this entire week.

I have been a fan of this bakery since I was first introduced at the Whittier farmers market many years ago. So you can imagine my excitement when I found them at the Monrovia Farmers Market Friday night. I immediately went there to grab an Italian Rum Butter cake for a birthday cake this weekend. The Italian Rum Butter cake is an amazing cake that is consistently great every time you buy it. This bakery has really perfected the recipe for any of the cakes you try. Every cake is moist and light. It's buttery and rich in all the right ways. The only problem you will find yourself in is how to justify buying one of each flavor. I hope you support and enjoy this bakery as much as I have over the years. The owners are awesome and truly a stand worth stopping by if you see them at the farmers market. They also ship cakes nationwide and have a website you can place orders through. Will definitely be back.

Very tasty! I purchase the sampler packs to give out for work and everyone loves them. I also can't help but get a few for myself. The churro and butter rum flavors are my personal favorites. The owners are also super nice and friendly so I would highly recommend trying this place out.

This bakery makes such delicious Bundt cakes. They have friendly customer service and the cakes are very moist and soft. Very flavorful as well!

Clockwise, from top back; carrot.lemon poppyseed and pineapple upside down cake. $5.00

This bakery brand can be purchased at the Local Farmers Market at Marine Stadium, Long Beach, on Wednesday afternoons from three to seven o'clock. While my favorite so far is still their taqueria margarita cake from our first market visit, we subsequently bought carrot cake, lemon poppyseed and pineapple upside down cake. This last purchase was very tasty but the toughness of the pineapple caused me to check out previous reviews. Most are quite favorable but it seems aficionados are able to tell which cakes have just been freshly baked. This last purchase may not have been. I'm looking forward to to trying their rum cake which seems to be a fan favorite. The lady who man's this booth is sweeter than the cakes thems. A treasure!

It's great most of their bundts flavors are non dairy if you don't add the frosting. When I called they were super helpful in answering all my questions. They even put the cream cheese frosting on the side so those of us who could eat dairy could add it ourselves. Ordered the carrot cake and it was very moist and the cream cheese frosting was yummy. If you aren't eating right away make sure to freeze! I'll definitely try the chocolate or red velvet next time!

Are u allowed to refrigerate the cakes? I want to store some cakes I bought for Valentine's Day, but I was told if I store the cakes I should put them in the freezer? I just want to confirm that I can leave them out in room temp and not the fridge.

I think you'll be fine leaving them out at room temp :)

How can I find which farmers market you'll be at next!? Is there no way to follow where you'll be?!

Hi, I believe they have a list of farmers markets posted on their website. I hope this helps.

Hi. Do,you have a shop or only at farmers markets?

Speaking to the owner, it looks like for now they only appear at farmers markets!

They had so many cake selections, plus pastries and drinks, which definitely makes me want to come back and actually spend more time there. Even though it was super busy, the service was impressively fast and efficient. One employee helped take my order and package everything up, and the cashier rang me up quickly, so the whole process was seamless and perfect when you're on a lunch break. The atmosphere felt very family-friendly, and despite how busy it was, the experience was still smooth. Parking is free, there's a small lot directly in front, but if that fills up, there's additional parking in the connected plaza, which makes it easy. I didn't get to try the cake but brother-in-law and sister said the cake was delicious. If you're in the Fullerton area and looking for a cute dessert spot with lots of options, this is definitely worth checking out!

I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.
