I was so upset that I didn't bring my physical ID and had left it in my hotel room so I was not able to drink. However, the food was actually very delicious. We ordered the seafood linguini, chicken sandwich and salmon. The seafood pasta was packed with clams, shrimp and the pasta was al dente. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the chicken sandwich was delicious. The only small complaint I would have was the service. The service specifically from the bartender Albert made the experience feel unwelcoming and uncomfortable service. I will give it -0. I came in during the advertised happy hour based on the restaurants website when I asked for that happy hour menu the bartender Albert loudly annoyingly repeated happy hour menu. The tone is not acceptable in a hospitality setting Albert then loudly stated happy hour will not be honored due to special events Despite there being no notice. The attitude throughout the interaction was dismissive rather than professional. Only after I mention leaving a review, the manager changed his tone, honored the happy hour only after I ate my food and had my drink feeling uncomfortable the whole time. This is unacceptable then Albert the bartender offered a complementary drink later, which I appreciate in principle, but it was poorly made, and did not change the overall impression I took one sip of the second one. An automatic 18% service charge was also applied, which felt misaligned given the service issue . The kitchen did a good job. The food was good but front of the house professionalism matters and Albert's attitude is something I personally will not tolerate as a guest management may want to address the issue. read more

I came here for Valentine's Day for a dinner with my girlfriend. We ordered a bottle of wine, some appetizers, and each had a pasta dish. I found the calamari to be too greasy, and the Caesar salad was just okay. However, my seafood pasta was good, and the pasta was cooked to perfection; unfortunately, the Bolognese sauce was lacking in salt. Overall, I found the food to be somewhat bland. Had an amazing meal last night at Dolce. The food and the service was the absolutely wonderful! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about all of the food items and was very attentive which is rare in the "post-Covid" world. The bread & olive oil is a great treat. We started with cocktails- the spicy ginger is refreshing & delicious. Next , on our waiter's recommendation, we ordered the spaghetti & meatballs ( something I would never orders because my own is pretty amazing) . It was simply "WOW"! Finished the night with tiramisu & an espresso martini! Definitely will keep this place on repeat whenever we are visiting Miami! Took advantage of the Miami Spice menu for Dolce. It had been a while since I had been to Dolce inside the Gale hotel. Still a great quiet spot for a date or just to dine. The spice appetizer I chose were the jumbo shrimp cocktail which was not my favorite. The cocktail sauce tastes more like marinara and the shrimp were a little gummy. Although not bad not the best. The star here was the rigatoni. Wow it was pretty amazing the sauce was on point. I asked for some chili flake and made it spicy. It was delicious and the sauce kept thickening throughout which made it even more flavorful. And for dessert there was only one option the white cake with toasted merengue and raspberry sorbet. This too was so good. The cake was very moist not dry at all. I'd say well worth it for the Miami spice deal. The only thing was there was really no ambiance. The air was broken so they had a fan blower while it wasn't hot, it was the only thing we heard all night. No music at all. But it's Miami and we know these AC troubles really well. Service was on point though Christian was delightful. Good to know that Dolce is still a solid choice! read more

Overall I enjoyed the food at Dolce. The dishes were flavorful and well presented, the dishes seemed reasonably authentic and had fresh ingredients too. There is no denying this restaurant is very touristy because it is in a hotel right in the middle of a popular tourist destination, although I'm not sure if that is a reason not to go. One of the top upscale Italian restaurants on this famous beach strip in Miami Beach. Lots of tourists walking around all through the day and night so it's a busy area. The Italian restaurant is very traditional with its decor and reminds me of a steakhouse with the dining tables and chairs. We had a semi-private room all the way in the back which was perfect because our group was loud lol. I would have to say all the dishes ordered kept getting better and better as it got placed on our table. Everything from beet salad to the amazing charcuterie platter, Branzino was tender and tasty, the steak was perfect too! I think the only disappointment was my bolognese was a bit too salty for my taste. The meatballs saved the dish because it was juicy and flavorful. They were short on wait staff in the morning and our waitress was doing all she could to get to us when she could and they somehow ran out of croissant sandwiches. For lunch we wanted appetizers and drinks but the menu is very limited and we opted for a margherita pizza and when I tell you this was the worse pizza I've ever had that's an understatement, it lacked tomato sauce and the cheese is like some dried up crumbled crust or something. Met a client here for a business lunch. Dolce is actually a great place for a business meeting or a date. This restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating and seems like a refuge on the busy and touristy Collins Avenue. My client who comes to this restaurant often recommended I order one of the salads. She ordered an arugula salad with chicken and I ordered the gem salad with shrimp. We shared a bottle of sparkling water. Be advised the protein does not come with the salad. In fact it costs almost as much as the salad itself. The salads were about $20 each. Adding chicken was an additional $12 while adding shrimp was an additional $18. An 18% gratuity was also added to the bill. With this said, the gem salad was one of the best salads I've had in awhile. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. My only complaint was that one of my shrimp weren't deveined. For what they charge, I was surprised to see this. Also the service was slow. There were a few times I looked around for wait staff and none were to be found. read more

Dolce Italian is the restaurant at the Gale, which is where we stayed. This place was basically ALWAYS poppin' - with both hotel and non-hotel guests alike. Because my partner is a Hilton Honors Diamond Member (yay for work perks!), we had complimentary breakfast each morning. It was a set menu of: two eggs any style choice of bacon or pork sausage choice of bagel, toast, pastry or yogurt parfait served with home fries, orange juice and drip coffee or tea. This was a SOLID breakfast. Very tasty, filling! My partner commented on the better quality as he eats QUITE a few of these hotel breakfasts. My scrambled eggs were always perfect, everything was nicely seasoned. The fruit was always sweet and ripe. Truly no complaints. Why only 4 stars then? We also came for happy hour, which is Sun - Thu from 3-5:30pm. They didn't have the only happy hour beer on the menu AND the meatballs were hella dry. Well I hate even saying this As I don't like to leave negative comments my goal is to always start at five stars and stay there I keeping an open mind. But this morning while getting breakfast service was very disappointing. I'm not sure what's going on the food was good the coffee was good once received but there was no follow up on the 2nd cup 3rd cup etc. We're probably gonna be eating here one or more to one or two times because it's convenient to the hotel. When paying these prices I don't expect to get plates that are chipped all over, I don't want to get up from my table to steal salt pepper from another table. We sat outside near the sidewalk, then a homeless person sat in front of us with a meal that he did not eat, so he left the food on the sidewalk. Then came the crows, pigeons, and seagulls. We were hoping the restaurant would care that this was going on at the outside area of their restaurant, but they did not care. I guess that is Miami now. I was there for a business dinner. The ambience of the bar that I could see briefly was modern and inviting. The private room we were at in the back upstairs was nice and complete with a private bar. We were served family style dishes with pasta, and some kind of salmon dish. Perhaps it's a fairly big party of 30 people so my pasta was overcooked. But the side dish with mushrooms was delicious. The salmon was overcooked as well. The service was OK at the private bar, but they had a hard time going in between chairs to properly for our drinks so my water glass was empty the whole night. I went here for a family member's birthday dinner. The food was fairly decent. I ordered the "Pappardelle Alla Bolognese" which was good and I enjoyed it. The wine selection was large and offered both by the glass and by the bottle options. The service was fantastic. They seated us on the lower patio and were able to move us to the higher outdoor area upon request (even after having been seated). Additionally, our waiter was very kind and diligent.
