The most delicious Old fashioned red velvet cake
Julie M.

Had them bake the red velvet cake they are famous for for my wedding. The shop was super helpful and they did a beautiful job. My favorite cake by far.

Wow! I felt like I was at The Ivy at the Shore the minute I walked into The Ivy Bakery-Dolce Isola! The flowers alone speak volumes to the love and care put into making this small restaurant /bakery beautiful and welcoming. The bakery case was full of tantalizing pastries and breads, cookies, and croissants. We enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies and I love that there was a nut-free option. Cookies were delicious and did not disappoint. The gelato/ice cream display was gorgeous and next time I'm going to get a few flavors to try. I started the review with dessert because, of course, dessert is always the piece de resistance! For lunch we enjoyed the Ricky's Fried Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw, pickles, seasoned butter, and thousand island dressing all served in a yummy brioche bun. We also loved the Caprese Sandwich which included buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, basil and olive oil all served on a homemade baguette. Naturally, we had to order a side of fries which were very tasty too! Our server was very nice and efficient. We will most definitely return for the meatball sandwich promised on the winter menu!

Came for a quick bite. Staff incredibly warm and accommodating. Sandwich was very tasty but the bread which was toasted was too hard and difficult to bite into and chew. Cute ambiance. However, I was spooked because I thought I had seen "droppings" and I brought to the attention of our server. It's the location, so I was concerned. She explained that it wasn't and they were dead bugs instead. Okay. Whatever it was, it was unappetizing so I won't be returning.

Very nice place that takes you to old times. Very attentive service Caprese sandwich is very delicious

My prayers were answered! Normal cafe restaurant music, played at a normal volume. So happy they listened! Love this spot and will put the music issue behind me.

I have only had the currant scones and the coffee, and both are great. I've now visited three times. The scones come with butter and homemade raspberry marmalade. The marmalade is so richly detailed - not too sweet and with plenty of fruit flavor. The scones are a bit crumbly and that's just fine. Imagine a rocky yet fragile biscuit. The currants quietly bring texture and a gentle chewy goodness. Some day, I will get to the butter. The coffee is the best that I've so far found on this stretch of Robertson. While my preference is to sit inside the cafe, enjoying the hot bean in a civilized ceramic cup, I'm happy that the to-go version works, too. A good paper cup, sometimes doubled, is a sturdy vessel. I like this solid, medium dark coffee. The menu with breakfast and lunch looks hearty and not too heavy. Someday I will get to the egg dishes, or perhaps the turkey chili. The people behind the counter are smartly dressed and both friendly and professional. Now. I've been a few times, and I can't not say this. The music. Ahem. It's well-meaning versions of songs by folks like Bob Seger, the Doobie Brothers, and Billy Joel with vocals that are, shall we say, brave. The recordings are smoothly produced, but just don't sit well on the ears. As you approach the cafe on Robertson, the music is loud and impossible to miss. Altogether, this uneven sonic barrage runs counter to the easy confidence of the excellent bakery and cozy cafe.

Best chocolate cookies anywhere. No need to go to all these new overpriced cookie stores. Kind helpful staff. Great prices.

The Caesar here is unbeatable and the bread they serve it with is just as good. If you're feeling extra adventurous try their rib tacos. WOW

Why does the food menu have different prices here than what they actually are? I wanted the Claire's chicken sandwich but was told it's actually more expensive than what it said here and on your mobile website.

Their menu changes often. The paper menu onsite is always the most accurate in my experience.

Can I buy cookies online? I ate those cookies at the Ivy, it was soooooo yummy? I'm living in CA.

Do they make Napoleon torte cake here?

The collab started today and will last until the 31st. The store opens at 7am , but even though I got there around 8:30 and there was no line they still managed to sell out of a majority of the limited edition Kuromi themed pastries. Which was a little heart breaking, but also understandable. I ended up ordering the Kuromi Berry lemonade and some of their more popular items like the D Tia Blue (blueberry/cream cheese filled pastry) and the Japanini. Everything hit the spot as expected, but the highlight of my visit was definitely that berry lemonade! It had the perfect sweet to sour ratio and it looked very whimsical with its purple hue. I'll definitely be back to order that again and maybe I'll have better luck next time with the availability of the limited edition pastries. It wasn't as busy as it typically gets so took advantage of the opportunity and I dined in. During my visit I adored the Kuromi decor around the story. It was definitely picture worthy. They also have the cutest merch available for sale and of course I bought a sticker sheet to add to my sticker collection. The workers also wore pretty purple Kuromi hats and aprons, which is also included in their merch for sale fyi. If you're a Sanrio/Kuromi fan, do yourself a favor and RUN to your nearest Okayama Kobo cafe!

She took me here. The place was very clean and tidy with a lot of different types of sweet treats. I was there for one thing only. I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

When I arrived, there were only a few mochi in the refrigerator, and the display looked sparse, almost as if only a few were left. The mochi I saw also looked quite different from the photo. I asked whether they had any others, and an employee told me they had been flash frozen and were in the freezer. She brought one out for me. I asked, "Was this made today?" and was told yes, so I bought it. I was very disappointed when I got home and cut it in half. I understand that a handmade dessert won't look exactly like a photo, but this was far from what I had expected. I called the bakery to explain my concern. The person I spoke with did not let me finish explaining and insisted, "That could never happen." She also asked why I was saying that and told me to bring the mochi back. I had gone out of my way to visit early that morning, so being told to make another trip was frustrating. The phone conversation left me more upset than the mochi itself. This was my second visit. I had also had a disappointing experience with a green onion or garlic bread on my first visit, but the Instagram photo made me want to give the bakery another chance. Unfortunately, I left disappointed again. I've attached photos so others can see the mochi I received.
