    Inside of choc chip cookie

As soon as you walk in, you're kind of impressed by all the bread and the other baked goods behind the glass and it smells lovely inside. The service was efficient and nice. I ordered it to drop coffee, and it went perfectly with the things that I ordered. The chocolate chip cookie I got here is probably the top three favorite chocolate chip cookies here in LA so far. The turkey croissant was absolutely delightful and I wasn't planning on getting a second croissant, but I saw the pastrami with the pickle on top and I felt compelled to order it. I didn't eat the pastrami croissant till later that day, but the lamination of the layers was so freaking spectacular these croissants make a freaking massive how likely they are. Don't be afraid to get dirty and just bite in!

Came back here and tried more! This time we went for both savory and sweet, trying the Pastrami croissant as well as their crowd's fave Hazelnut Almond Croissant. Pastry base was buttery and fragrant with gorgeous lamination. Stuffing was also generous, perfect weekend treats while enjoying their mezzanine corner that felt just like our own living room!

Baked Bar is absolutely amazing! They havea an amazing variety of regular, gluten free and vegan baked goods options....and everything is delicious! They worked with me for custom cupcakes for my 40th birthday party and they turned out awesome. They team is highly collaborative, responsive and friendly. I highly recommend stopping by their storefront for some delicious carbs and coffee. Highlights: Their croissants, vegan/GF chocolate cake/cupcakes, vegan/GF pizza square

Seasonal Croissant was half off. Pistachio Dubai croissant

The good: I got their sourdough bread for $9 (half loaf was $6) and it was great. The sour flavor was apparent, the inside was soft, and the outside had a nice crust without being too thick. We also got a ginger molasses cookie, a seasonal croissant that looked like a Christmas tree with vanilla custard inside, and a Dubai chocolate croissant. Both were SO beautiful. I enjoyed the decadent croissants and liked the custard cream in them. I had expected the seasonal croissant to be dry because it was half off but it wasn't at all and was not stale. I enjoyed both croissants a lot. Both were decadent. They had great options like sage poptart and panettone (that was 20% off). The bad: The seasonal croissant was supposed to be half off of $7 but they charged $8. The worker discovered the mistake and refunded $4 but it should've been $3.50. The molasses cookie was a bit sweeter than I would've liked. The register area and area to look at the pastries behind the display case is narrow. I think there's just street parking. The interesting: They have a loft sitting area upstairs (dogs aren't allowed there).

Visited on a Saturday - found street parking on the main road. Lots of vegan pastry assortments which was exciting - tried the vegan fudge cake and vegan chocolate croissant. Both were excellent! Will definitely be back to try more. Good coffee selection as well and freshly baked sourdough for a reasonable price. Great service as well.

I really enjoyed the selection at Baked Bar. I tried the apricot sage poptart, blood orange blueberry muffin, and a tuna croissant sandwich. The tuna salad on croissant was better than I expected. The croissant was so flaky and light, and the tuna salad tastes fresh and had such great texture with the chopped apples. The pop tart was delicious, it wasn't too sweet and the sage a balanced it out. I loved how buttery the crust was. The place itself is on the smaller side, but still enough space to enjoy or do work. There's also outside seating. The staff was kind and patient. Will need to find street parking.

There are so many amazing baked goods to choose from. There is also freshly baked bread. I don't think I got the right thing in terms of pastries but I am still interested in going again to try more. The cinnamon roll was good but dense and would have tasted better warm and fresh. The maple biscuit didn't have much going on with it. Cold brew is fire!

Great looking pastries. Great tasting pastries! Excellent bread. My wife said the Matcha was excellent and the staff is super friendly. Don't forget to check out the chill spot upstairs. Added to list as one of my favorites in Culver City!

I have always loved Jill's now Baked Bar. I recently ordered this cake in a lambeth design. I wasn't specific because I have ordered so many cakes from them over the years and trust the decorators to go above and beyond any expectations I have. This time was no exception. They absolutely nailed it and we received SO many compliments!

Friends in Culver City recommended this bakery for some breakfast goodies on a Monday morning. The Kwin Aman (Kouign-amann) and Almond Croissants were excellent (5/5 $7). Bread looked good, but we didn't try any. We were very disappointed with the bagels. This Baked Bar is in a single storefront with some indoor and outdoor tables. It does have coffee. Service was great. Street parking.

I went a friend's birthday party on February 7th, and her family ordered the cake from Baked Bar LA to celebrate the occasion. Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, it was delicious. It was a white cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream filling. The cake was beautifully decorated with flowers; they looked real. I've had pastries, breads, and other cakes in the past, and everything there is so fresh and yummy. It's hard to say which pastries are my favorite. They also have the best vegan granola I've ever had. The staff is very friendly and take the time to describe what the pastries are if you have any questions. Here are some pictures of the amazing birthday cake. I highly recommend using Baked Bar LA for baking your special occasion cakes. You will not be disappointed. (my review was inadvertently posted to the wrong bakery; I am now correcting my error)

Spinach pesto danish (good), apple kouign amann (meh), apricot financier (meh), gingerbread cookie (good), butter croissant
    Julia T.

Nice variety of items, all were pretty pricey but maybe standard for the area. We ended up with 5 things: a spinach danish which was tasty with a nice flaky pastry, the kouign amann which unfortunately was a little underbaked and the apple made the pastry no longer flaky and a little soggy, gingerbread cookie which was quite soft and nice ginger flavor, apricot financier which was a little disappointing, a bit dry and not a ton of flavor outside of the apricot jam, and the butter croissant which looked nice but we gave to a friend so I'm not sure how it was. They do have vegan pastries available which is cool. Some seating inside, the guy behind the counter was very nice. However, for the price I'm not sure I'd come back, maybe I would to try the loaves of bread.

Such a cute spot and friendly staff. Love that it is walking distance from my hair salon so I can grab a quick bit before starting. I grabbed an orange juice and turkey and cheese croissant. It was warmed up buttery and HUGE lol probably the biggest one I've ever had. It was delicious! Will be back again!

PARKING We lucked out with street parking right in front. It's limited, and I can see it getting tight on weekends, but doable with patience. PASTRIES & CAKES PRINCESS CAKE - $6.50 I ordered this slice for my birthday, and it absolutely delivered. Alternating layers of airy sponge cake, vanilla custard, and house-made raspberry jam, topped with a dome of whipped cream and finished in light green almond paste. Every bite was balanced--rich but never cloying. Perfect texture, perfect sweetness. Rating: 5/5 RASPBERRY LEMON MOUSSE CAKE - $6.50 An indulgent combination of fresh raspberries and mousse layered with feather-light sponge cake brushed in lemon syrup. Finished with bits of raspberry-infused Valrhona chocolate, this cake hits that ideal sweet-tart balance. Bright, elegant, and not overly sweet--exactly how dessert should be. Rating: 5/5 SPANDAUER - $3.50 Understated and refined. Almond paste, custard, and crunchy almond flakes come together beautifully. Soft meets crisp in all the right ways. Rating: 4/5 KRINGLE - $3.50 A flaky pastry filled with almond paste and custard, topped with sugar and almond flakes. Simple, comforting, and executed perfectly. Excellent with coffee. Rating: 4.5/5 OVERALL Warm, friendly service paired with exceptional pastries and cakes. This place nails balance, flavor, and texture without relying on excess sweetness. My first time- with the high, beam-exposed ceiling and layout, has Joan's on Third vibes. No seating inside but plenty outdoors, although the closer to the entrance, you need to talk loudly above the music. I went late (to meet a friend) at 1pm. Few choices in the pastry section though it looked like they would replenish, which they barely did an hour later. Here's what I got: FRENCH SILK PIE - OMG, the chocolate mousse like filling was butter. Thick but light. The crust was dry and too thick but I could smother myself with the filling. PEANUT BUTTER HONEY RICE KRISPY - Very large, cereal was too compressed and dense. The pb flavor was fresh and natural but I did not taste honey. The marshmallow fluff on top was unnecessary but the few blobs inside the krispy was a nice textural difference. Both were $6 each. I can see why they can't sustain their business. Maybe because they're closing the bakery, they didn't want to bake excessively. But the middle tables have cute but overpriced novelties. There was a big table of just old fashioned Helms truck tins, filled with cookies for a mere $50. The prepackaged food might be good but was expensive. $12 for a small egg salad sandwich. The cured ham sandwich I noticed had deli meat ham. It's also inconvenient to wait in a separate line for coffee. That's where you can get soft serve btw. Sad to see Helms Bakery close. The parking lot with the painted mural and trick of the eye shading is so nostalgic. I will come back to finally try Pasta Sisters which is also in Helm's District. Best of luck to the owner and hope to see the bakery back in another form, maybe a food truck?
