A Pan Chocolate.
Linda C.

Made it just in time before they closed for the day & treated myself to an ever so fresh Pan Chocolate. Even at end of the day, the croissant was flaky and fresh, absolute perfection for an afternoon pick me up. I have been working on a project adjacent to Baked Bar and am so glad I've found this little gem. Fresh baked pastries and amazing coffees. I've also enjoyed their curried egg salad sandwich which reminds me of tea time egg sandwiches my mum would make. The staff are always so friendly and nice. Such a great local coffee shop!

As soon as you walk in, you're kind of impressed by all the bread and the other baked goods behind the glass and it smells lovely inside. The service was efficient and nice. I ordered it to drop coffee, and it went perfectly with the things that I ordered. The chocolate chip cookie I got here is probably the top three favorite chocolate chip cookies here in LA so far. The turkey croissant was absolutely delightful and I wasn't planning on getting a second croissant, but I saw the pastrami with the pickle on top and I felt compelled to order it. I didn't eat the pastrami croissant till later that day, but the lamination of the layers was so freaking spectacular these croissants make a freaking massive how likely they are. Don't be afraid to get dirty and just bite in!

I ordered a turkey provolone croissant, along with a vanilla latte and I am not complaining. Nice selection of fresh bread made. The service was pretty good and the vibe was cool. My favorite thing was everything that I ordered was worth the price, tasted delicious and the fresh baked goods.

Came back here and tried more! This time we went for both savory and sweet, trying the Pastrami croissant as well as their crowd's fave Hazelnut Almond Croissant. Pastry base was buttery and fragrant with gorgeous lamination. Stuffing was also generous, perfect weekend treats while enjoying their mezzanine corner that felt just like our own living room!

Cupcakes were delicious and so cute

Baked Bar is absolutely amazing! They havea an amazing variety of regular, gluten free and vegan baked goods options....and everything is delicious! They worked with me for custom cupcakes for my 40th birthday party and they turned out awesome. They team is highly collaborative, responsive and friendly. I highly recommend stopping by their storefront for some delicious carbs and coffee. Highlights: Their croissants, vegan/GF chocolate cake/cupcakes, vegan/GF pizza square

So many good pastries and vegan options! The set up is quite aesthetically pleasing with seating outside, and a downstairs/upstairs indoor area. I was so happy to discover that they have a vegan cold foam option!! Especially with cold brew!! I love making myself a cold brew with a cold foam at home, but it is hard to find vegan cream in coffee shops. Not pictured, but I also tried their vegan almond croissant. It tasted like a filled donut with almonds! So sweet and comforting. The friendly service made me feel welcomed :). Please pay this place a visit. (Oh, and they also have a little shop on the side with various bread and merch)

Seasonal Croissant was half off. Pistachio Dubai croissant

The good: I got their sourdough bread for $9 (half loaf was $6) and it was great. The sour flavor was apparent, the inside was soft, and the outside had a nice crust without being too thick. We also got a ginger molasses cookie, a seasonal croissant that looked like a Christmas tree with vanilla custard inside, and a Dubai chocolate croissant. Both were SO beautiful. I enjoyed the decadent croissants and liked the custard cream in them. I had expected the seasonal croissant to be dry because it was half off but it wasn't at all and was not stale. I enjoyed both croissants a lot. Both were decadent. They had great options like sage poptart and panettone (that was 20% off). The bad: The seasonal croissant was supposed to be half off of $7 but they charged $8. The worker discovered the mistake and refunded $4 but it should've been $3.50. The molasses cookie was a bit sweeter than I would've liked. The register area and area to look at the pastries behind the display case is narrow. I think there's just street parking. The interesting: They have a loft sitting area upstairs (dogs aren't allowed there).

Apricot Sage Pop Tart

I really enjoyed the selection at Baked Bar. I tried the apricot sage poptart, blood orange blueberry muffin, and a tuna croissant sandwich. The tuna salad on croissant was better than I expected. The croissant was so flaky and light, and the tuna salad tastes fresh and had such great texture with the chopped apples. The pop tart was delicious, it wasn't too sweet and the sage a balanced it out. I loved how buttery the crust was. The place itself is on the smaller side, but still enough space to enjoy or do work. There's also outside seating. The staff was kind and patient. Will need to find street parking.

Vegan chocolate croissant

Visited on a Saturday - found street parking on the main road. Lots of vegan pastry assortments which was exciting - tried the vegan fudge cake and vegan chocolate croissant. Both were excellent! Will definitely be back to try more. Good coffee selection as well and freshly baked sourdough for a reasonable price. Great service as well.

There are so many amazing baked goods to choose from. There is also freshly baked bread. I don't think I got the right thing in terms of pastries but I am still interested in going again to try more. The cinnamon roll was good but dense and would have tasted better warm and fresh. The maple biscuit didn't have much going on with it. Cold brew is fire!

Friends in Culver City recommended this bakery for some breakfast goodies on a Monday morning. The Kwin Aman (Kouign-amann) and Almond Croissants were excellent (5/5 $7). Bread looked good, but we didn't try any. We were very disappointed with the bagels. This Baked Bar is in a single storefront with some indoor and outdoor tables. It does have coffee. Service was great. Street parking.

Spinach pesto danish (good), apple kouign amann (meh), apricot financier (meh), gingerbread cookie (good), butter croissant
Julia T.

Nice variety of items, all were pretty pricey but maybe standard for the area. We ended up with 5 things: a spinach danish which was tasty with a nice flaky pastry, the kouign amann which unfortunately was a little underbaked and the apple made the pastry no longer flaky and a little soggy, gingerbread cookie which was quite soft and nice ginger flavor, apricot financier which was a little disappointing, a bit dry and not a ton of flavor outside of the apricot jam, and the butter croissant which looked nice but we gave to a friend so I'm not sure how it was. They do have vegan pastries available which is cool. Some seating inside, the guy behind the counter was very nice. However, for the price I'm not sure I'd come back, maybe I would to try the loaves of bread.

Such a cute spot and friendly staff. Love that it is walking distance from my hair salon so I can grab a quick bit before starting. I grabbed an orange juice and turkey and cheese croissant. It was warmed up buttery and HUGE lol probably the biggest one I've ever had. It was delicious! Will be back again!

Overview: soft cookies with an Asian flair…read more ---- My cousin bought these cookies for us to try since I am a baker at a cookie shop who also has Asian flavors. These were very creative and tasty. The ones I was able to try were the mango sticky rice, guava and cheese, and the Ube Oreo white chocolate! I really enjoyed the guava flavor and was surprised that the rice and cookie itself was still quite soft even after a few days since they were bought. I didn't really care for the Ube one tho. The guava flavor was intense and sweet which I loved. The cookie dough part was nice and soft as well. The mango sticky rice had dried mango mixed into the dough and a small pile of sticky rice topped onto the cookie. This one wasn't as sweet as the guava one. My least favorite was the Ube cookie, I think I'm just not a fan of Ube. All I taste is the extract flavor and while I enjoyed the added texture of the Oreos, I don't think the flavors meshed well for me. Because Ube is such a subtle flavor, I feel like the chocolate flavor overpowered it at some parts and also the flavor of the Ube was very extract-y and a little bitter because of that. I love the packaging and their slogan, it was very cute and clever. While they aren't individually packaged in something like plastic for it to remain fresh, they were still soft and flavorful, they didn't taste stale for the most part. The Ube one was the stalest, and had a harder edge to it, but to be fair it was a few days old. Not sure how the parking, ambiance, or service was since I didn't go myself, but I would love to come here if I am ever in the area. ---- Overall: their flavors seem so creative and they taste great, not stale even after a few days from purchase

Hi! I wanted to update my review to provide a little more context and address a few points from…read moreyour response. A major factor was my allergies. While I understood your bakery focuses on globally inspired flavors, that was never the issue. I enjoy trying different foods and was excited to support your business. As you mentioned, there were five cookies in the box. Two of them I couldn't eat due to allergies, and another wasn't a favorite of mine. I chose not to mention every cookie individually because I didn't want to overly criticize a small business. As for the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip cookie, I personally found it a bit overcooked and harder than I expected, though that may simply be your intended preparation style. The Oatmeal Raisin cookie I believe it was, just wasn't my favorite from a flavor standpoint. But as mentioned above, I did enjoy the S'mores cookie! While PERSONAL TASTE certainly plays a role, my review was intended to reflect my overall experience as a customer. Thank you for your response, and I wish you all the best. :)

Background On Visit: I was primarily going to RWT (Pokemon Card Shop) Collective on the second floor of the plaza, Something about the line and a average of 5 stars on their yelp page made me want to patronize the shop. So I did. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restroom: Didn't see a restroom. :) Wait Time: Can be long. Luckily, I didn't wait long when I patronized the shop. Location/Parking: Located in a plaza on the NW corner of Sawtelle Blvd. and W. Olympic. There's a couple of shared 15 minute parking spots in the parking lot, paid parking structure, or meter parking along Olympic, Sawtelle, or surrounding streets. I did find a secret place with free 2 hour parking on the NE corner of Purdue Ave. and Olympic Blvd.. :) Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with a few modern furnishings to sit, eat, and enjoy ones company. Service: Service was great! Tera (staffer) was very nice, attentive, offered great suggestions, and was quite informative about the shop. She also informed me that I was able to get two complimentary macarons. Patisserie Of Choice: 1) Blossom: Consisted of vanilla mousse, pistachio/red berries insert, pistachio crunch, and pistachio sponge. It was too pretty to eat, but I ate it anyways. So good and soo yum! 2) Roche: Consisted of hazelnut mousse, house made praline combined with soft caramel, hazelnut sponge. Taste like a Ferrer Rocher! It's very dense and sweet, but great to eat. Not something I'll have all the time. Macarons Of Choice : I got the Cookies and Cream and pistacio. They were both good. Artelice Patisserie For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back. Upon our arrival, I liked the cute setup that they had to offer from the different areas within the shop and the pieces of chocolate history all throughout. So I didn't realize that, coming here, all that was served was versions of dark chocolate hot chocolate, so I was a little bummed, as I love milk chocolate but was still hoping for a sweeter taste, as I chose the lowest percentage of dark chocolate. During our time, we talked a bit to the owner, who was very sweet, and had a chance to learn more about the process and some of the products offered, which is nice to have an insight into their world. Of course, I recognize that this is a small business, and it seemed to be just the owner there, but 3 hot chocolates totaling more than $30 were really a lot more than I would've liked to pay, so I hoped it would be worth it. When we received it after a good minute, though it was just the owner working, so understandable, the hot chocolate was fine, on the smaller side, but thankfully, I ordered it with whipped cream, as it made it a little sweeter.
