Dairy Freeze is one of those iconic neighborhood establishments that has been putting smiles on people's faces for decades. We got pretty lucky while roaming around and stumbled across what looks to be a new food hall that features a cool looking little ice cream shop called Crescent Ridge. Was I hungry? not really. Did I need ice cream? not at all. Did I order some since I probably won't be back for years? You betcha! I ended up ordering a two scoop cone with some form of cookie monster style ice cream as well as a scoop of double chocolate (or something like that). I was expecting two regular size scoops, but no, this cone was massive and dripping all over my hand (luckily, they offered a little bowl in case it melted to much) and I went to work on this thing. Both of the ice cream flavours were super rich, tasty, and really hit the spot (not of hunger, but of being cold) on a hot and humid New England day. Overall, Crescent Ridge is in the perfect location for grabbing some desert after eating at the food hall.
