Three of them responded quickly and provided in-depth project bids. I selected Chavez Roofing and Construction LLC and I'm glad I did. My house is a tall skinny with a steeply pitched roof. This project impacted not only me, but the neighbors on either side of me. Caleb and his crew had to fight with multiple demons of morning frost on the steep roof, and early sunset bringing the day to a close. The project took a bit longer than anticipated, however, each night before they left, they cleaned up the mess that inevitably lands between the houses. Caleb and crew were all polite and respectful of my neighbors and our properties. Caleb is a delight to work with. He communicates well and frequently, knows what he's talking about, and oozes sincerity and pride in his product. Oh, the 4th company? Their bid finally arrived the day Chavez Roofers were packing up for good. Their bid was also considerably higher than any of the other bids I received. Sometimes it's the young guys that are hungriest and most driven.

It took about 3 weeks for them to complete the re-roof. As well, he did not honor the terms of the contract. They did not install the ridge vent as agreed, Caleb told me after the roof was done"you don't want that because it will create mold". I am now paying others to fix the things in his contract he did not honor. Extremely disappointed in this contractor; my fault for paying him.

All just as you should from real pros. We had gotten 6 bids, because they varied all over the place, and these guys had a good, detailed, reasonable bid (much lower than most). Many other guys wanted HALF down! There was an article in the paper recently by the FTC warning people about scammers and poor business owners, and how you should never pay them up front (unless you give them money as they're delivering all the supplies onto your property.) We had an awful experience with Signature Roofing up in McCall. I was referred by a friend who was…read morehaving her roof done by them (come to find out later they never completed the work on her roof either, she had to hire someone else to do the last 10% that they left incomplete for a year). At 1st they seemed good, coming and giving us a quote right away and worked with insurance to get a full replacement but when it came time to start our project they kept pushing back the date. They also had us sign a contract that said we would not work with anyone else. They pushed us back so many times, and started getting slower and slower to respond to us, even when I would call the main company directly. They said they would look into it and get back to us right away. They eventually stopped answering phone calls, emails and texts. Finally by the third summer we just went with a different company who got us done (working with insurance which was the reason for any delays) within a month of contacting them and they had the roof work complete in 3 days. I would not recommend Signature Roofing to anyone!!!
