We had a treatment for ants at my moms and the tech was friendly and quickly did the work. It took about two weeks for them to stop and this was Nov when applied. Now that January has arrived and she is past the 30 days retreatment guarantee the ants have started to come back. Just a few but I worry we will be back to where we were. Best customer service. John, the technician, came out promptly this morning and went above and beyond to help us with our mouse problem. Very reasonable rates, and they were quoted over the phone before he even showed up. Yesterday I had the misfortune to call a company that stated they would come out and give a "free inspection and estimate". Since the estimate was in the thousands of dollars, the guy could have saved everyone the effort and quoted it first so I could have told him that his price was out of the question. Need help? Been using BPC since we moved here from NYC a little over a year ago. All we can say is...exemplary customer service is NOT dead. As first-time homeowners (ex-apartment dwellers in NYC), we are newbies to using pest control services. After the first few treatments, I can say without any reservation that these folks are the BEST in the biz - both in what they provide and how they provide it. Jeff, the proprietor, is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and professional and efficient. And the new specialist they hired on their team, John (who literally just finished treating our exterior), was extremely friendly and easy to feel comfortable around, and similarly professional and efficient. (I was offering to tip him for his service but he didn't accept; when does that happen in this day and age???) All in all, you get big-company-caliber product with a very personalized touch typical of small or growing companies - a great combination. Absolutely love this company. Jeff is so kind and sweet. He is totally flexible with scheduling which is amazing for our family. When I first started using them I was so nervous and had questions and reservations and he answered everything and understood my little anxiety about spraying and kids in the house. Whenever we have needed him he was here. We had yet to spray or treat our house since we purchased it so it took Jeff a handful of visits to get the spiders under control and he got it done. I've had mouse issues in my attic, so I contacted Boise Pest Control. They're a small local business and I am very impressed with this company: they did a thorough estimate of the mouse situation. This is the 2nd pest control company that has serviced my house. I didn't know what I was missing until Jeff took care of our pest problems. He is very thorough and even took down all of the spider webs on the eaves of the house. He uses text communication in advance of the appointments and only comes when you are home. His customer service is impeccable. He wants to understand the problems that you see and then he goes about solving them. My only regret was not starting with him to begin with. We called Jeff at Boise Pest Control when we noticed some mouse droppings under our kitchen sink. We recently had a baby, and the thought of rodents in our space was making my skin crawl, so we wanted to get it taken care of right away. Jeff was really nice, and went through their different service options over the phone with me. Because we are fairly recent owners of this house, and because it was built in the 20s, we felt like we should purchase the 4 visit plan which includes both monitoring, trapping, and sealing of entry-points. Upon his first visit, Jeff thought he had figured out how the mice were entering our crawl space, and once he placed the appropriate traps, and did trap a couple, no additional droppings ever showed up in our home, and no other mice were caught in the crawl space traps, so he was right. OK, so here is the part where Jeff went ABOVE and BEYOND for us: most days that he came to check traps, etc my husband was able to block off time and pop out of his home office to assist Jeff or just answer questions, etc. We have a newborn, so I am a very unreliable resource for anyone but her these days :) Well, on the final day, when he was planning to seal up any entry points, Jeff needed to get behind our dishwasher to be sure there were no holes that mice could enter from (most homes do have gaps around where the electrical goes into the wall, and he wanted to be thorough). Well, long story short, our hot water line ended up shooting burning hot water out at him, and into our kitchen- I was literally nursing a baby, and my husband was on a call that he had not been able to reschedule. So there is poor Jeff, in our kitchen, scrambling to get the water turned off, but thanks to our house being super old and quirky, the shut-off was not easy to find, and took a long time, thus partially flooding our kitchen. Jeff canceled his next meeting and cleaned up a huge, wet mess, probably had burns on him from the scalding hot water, and was so very gracious about the whole thing. To be clear, we were supposed to have had the dishwasher pulled out for him, but because my hubby was unavailable, and I had the baby, he offered to do it for us- arg! I still feel so badly about that! Jeff is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone I know! So far, we are almost 2 weeks rodent free and thankful to Boise Pest Control for the peace of mind. We look forward to having Jeff back in the spring to help us take care of our Elm Seed Bugs! read more
