We looked at several contractors before deciding on Justin and his team. We could not be more thrilled with how it turned out! We had a vague idea of what we wanted, and his team took it to another level; the design and layout is exactly what we hoped for. Justin (the owner) is such a rare find (honest, professional, reasonable price) - I was impressed with his integrity (providing free professional advice, not trying to sell up, not willing to take any shortcuts / compromise the quality). They do quality work, with excellent subs that were knowledgeable , courteous, efficient and never left a mess at the end of each work day. Good design ideas and put you at ease because his people have many yrs in the trades doing exceptional work. Good on timing even being stuck with the Covid-19 stops and starts, was always clear and concise on timing and when things could be completed on time. I contacted Merrick Construction about installing awnings to reduce the heat coming into my kitchen from the hot sun. Justin arrived at the time we agreed, and walked me through as he diagnosed what he thought was the cause (I have dual paned windows and previously had insulation blown into the walls). Justin and his team helped us with our kitchen remodel work. The team at Merrick construction is extremely professional and courteous ( which makes the whole experience of working with them phenomenal!!). There would be times we would message Justin late at night and he would agree to work on things next day at 6 am. AND he would arrive at 6 am ! This was a huge relief for us - especially when its a high traffic area such as the kitchen, and the fact we could trust Justin to always show up and take care of things at hand. The pricing is very competitive and Justin is very honest and upfront when determining the scope of work and timelines attached to that scope of work. Very satisfied with Justin Merrick and his team. He was referred to me by a Home Depot salesman as a licensed local contractor who could re-wire/install lighting/outlets and custom glass shelving for my resurfaced glass door kitchen cabinets. Justin has been very responsive and customer-focused. I appreciate his listening skills and capturing my requests in his phone app and his can-do attitude. He has been patient and accommodating with my schedule which has been changing due to multiple projects being done in my home. He shows up on time and is professional and clean. Justin has a both a good eye for aesthetic detail (e.g. trying shelf holders three different ways to see what looked best) and also a creative problem solver (figuring out how to wire a cabinet light to be less visible.) At first I was little concerned because he appears younger than other contractors we have used, but in conversations about a future remodel of my bathroom , he has demonstrated a good knowledge of materials and building codes and is becoming even more proficient by asking questions to his mentors and senior tradesmen.
