Had to take him to the urgent vet clinic and my baby has kennel cough. He received a bath I didn't ask for which has me concerned about the care and observation he received. I've been leery of the spot for some time after a few uses because there is no grass for him to pee or play. I've tried to overlook this, but how? Does he just go on the floor? Or in their kennels? In addition the owner's rude and dismissive disposition leaves much to be desired and much to avoid at all cost. Only because 1 or 2 of the front desk workers are kind do I feel regret for having to write this , but never will I ever subject my baby or myself to that facility. My dog's emergency vet bill, the poor care, and the lackluster customer service from the owner has me sold on never returning. An observation: a reviewer from just few days ago, 14 to be exact, made a similar complaint. Perhaps stop refuting the claim and review and clean a bit better, and treat your patrons like supporters and not the enemy. It's on you. Billy, the man who helped me was clearly very experienced and knew what he was talking about. He had great knowledge and knew the answer to every question, as I was nervous about leaving my dog here. When I try to take the big guy home he literally goes ape sh*t when seeing the staff. By the time we get home he's pooped and and ends up dozing off for the rest of the evening as opposed to his normal "i want attention give me attention now now now" attitude. The out door play area is smaller then the kitchen in my condo BUT more alarming then that is that the staff were unable to answer 2 basic questions: 1) Whats your emergency protocol? 2) What vet do you use for emergency injury situations? The answer to my questions was to hand me a business card for Meg, the general manager and explain that the individual doesn't work the front desk normally. My problem is that no matter what your role is within the facility you should know the answers to these basic safety/emergency questions. At the very least you should know where to find the answers and provide them when asked. No, I never messaged Meg. I'd never trust my child to a day care who's staff was uneducated on emergency and safety protocol so why should I trust my puppy to a staff who can not answer these simple questions. Before we jump on the "they just opened, give them time to find their footing" bandwagon let me again say, the individual didn't even bother to look up policy or anything just handed me a card and said that I should email her. I will say this: It appeared to be a secure location, I had to be buzzed in and there was another 2 doors between me and the rooms the dogs are in. It was clean and appeard organized. All this to say - if you like to be the guinea pig then sure, try them out but if your pup is you kiddo then I caution you to look elsewhere. ​

She is there twice a week for daycare, which she absolutely loves because she gets to spend the day playing with her friends. And she has stayed overnight for a week a couple times. They are always happy to see her arrive and she is ecstatic when we arrive there in the morning. The people there are very friendly and true dog lovers. We love the photos that they send us whenever she is there. She is always having so much fun. She is well taken care, loved and extremely happy. Who could ask for more. My friend left her elderly wiener dog at the resort while she traveled out of the country. I was…read morelisted as the dog's emergency contact because I live locally. While under the resort's care, the dog's condition declined. On the night my friend returned to town, the resort contacted her to say the dog may be ill, but also stated he could wait until the morning for pickup (the originally scheduled date). The message did not convey any urgency. My friend, not wanting to leave her best friend there if he wasn't feeling well, calmly made her way to the resort. At no point were we informed that the dog might need emergency-level care, nor was I ever contacted to come pick him up as the designated emergency contact. When she arrived, the dog was handed to her wrapped in a blanket, which struck her as unusual. He had been ambulatory at drop-off, and we typically did not carry him everywhere. Once home, she realized he couldn't even hold his head up. At that moment, my friend knew he was gravely ill and called me in a panic. We rushed him to VEG, where veterinarians discovered he had severe burns and was dehydrated. He required hospitalization and, ultimately, had to be euthanized. We informed the resort and requested assistance in covering the veterinary bills, but they refused. They never reached out to check on the dog and only learned of his death during court proceedings. I am appalled that I, as the emergency contact, was never called when his condition began to deteriorate. I do not understand why he had burns. I'm not a veterinarian, but if he died of old age, it is heartbreaking to think that he could have spent his final moments with the people he knew and loved--yet we were denied that chance because the resort failed to notify us.

My dog Izzy absolutely loves it at Paws! It's helped him socialize and he always leaves with a smile on his face. Most of the staff is also very nice, loving, good to the dogs. Besides a recent bought of kennel cough Izzy picked up at camp, we have no complaints about the day care. The issue I have is that out of the blue the owners decided to increase the half day rate from $19 to $35! That's 4 hours for $35! And a full day is the price of double what it costs for me to board my dog overnight at my veterinarian. I completely understand a business needing to hike up rates due to increased cost, but not only was this abruptly done, but the owner (like reviewer Hannah experienced) came up to me as I was picking up Izzy and said "we better buy packages now because prices are going up in a day or so!" It was rude and as a regular weekly customer I was offended that a mailing didn't go out, nor did an email or anything professional. Paws not only increases prices but no longer wipe the dogs down after they played and drooled on each other all day, and have not replaces their old, used toys in ages. Makes me sad but if prices don't go down, it seems like once our packages are done we will not be able to return to Paws. Just too expensive!
