WE LOVE DOGTASTIC!!!! I have a small dog and was worried about him being with big dogs. They kept him with the smaller dogs and he had a blast! they texted me pictures throughout the whole weekend of my dog which made me feel so much better. I had heard from a friend that this was a good spot for a doggie play date. We have a new 1 year old pup that needs to get some energy out, as our almost 10 year old veteran is not interested. :) we signed up our pup and dropped him off for doggie day camp. Needless to say, he was exhausted. They post pictures on their Facebook page so I saw some of the action but it's much of a mystery. Everyone I have interacted with is very kind and clearly dog-lovers. The second time we dropped him off, I had to pick him up early for a vet appointment. I didn't notice that the hours said that they were closed for a two hour block at lunch. I walked up to the door anyway to walk in: locked. I got back in my car and called. No answer. I left a message hoping that someone was in there and would listen. I ended up calling the vet to reschedule when I realized there wasn't any way I was going to get my dog in time to make it. I don't have an issue with lunch breaks. What I do have an issue with is not being able to access my dog. I sat and waited for 20 minutes until the time they re-opened. About 2 minutes before then, 3-4 cars came screaming into the lot. Someone unlocked the door, who I assumed was the owner, and said "I hope you weren't waiting too long!" I told her 20 or so minutes. My dog suffers from seizures (he is medicated). When I drop him off, I am not worried because there are people there with him. What worries me is when he is not supervised. Additionally, there are 20+ dogs individually crated, packed in a room. If something goes wrong (fire alarm, medical emergency, need to pick up a dog for a weird reason, etc), they are completely unsupervised and no one is there in the office for 2 complete hours! I just don't think it's responsible. We won't be dropping our dog off for full days anymore. Just half days before or after their unsupervised, unavailable lunch. read more

We are SOOOOOOO HAPPY about this doggie daycare/boarding facility, ESPECIALLY after having a not SO GOOD place previously. Everyone here went above and beyond to make sure that our dogs extended stay was pleasant, comfortable, and also made us feel the same. Our puppy Pongo loves this spot! He is so excited to go and exhausted when he comes home. The staff is always so kind and loving. They post pics of all the dogs on social media every night so my kids and I love looking at Pongo and his friends in action. If I could give them a million stars, I would! I cannot say enough about everyone at Dogtastic Fun! My puppy has been going there for 2 years and he absolutely loves it. He's 13 lbs and thinks he's a big dog. The dogs are together based on their temperament, so he gets plenty of play time with the big dogs. Each dog is accessed by their individual needs. They are watched over and played with constantly. If they need quiet time, they are given quiet time. Every single person on staff LOVES DOGS. Jammer HATES when I pick him up at the end of the day and won't even look at me when he comes out. He tries to get back in the play area with his friends. Was a bit confusing to get to because my google maps kept telling me to turn around and drive down Lemont the other way after it led north the begin with?? It is in the newer industrial park on Lemont Rd and she has teamed up with Dogtastic Fun boarding and behavioral support. I've tried a number of dog-daycare places in the area, and this one is simply the best. Here's the good and the bad: Possible cons: - No outdoor space, however, I'm happy about this as my small dog was bitten by a large dog at the previous daycare place during too much excitement while the dogs were all together in the outdoor space and barking at trucks. Definite Pros: - Late night pickup option available. Staff really try to be flexible and accommodating. - Private rooms for dogs who are tired or just need some space (no extra charge). - Really attentive staff. They do not screw up instructions, food, medication, and even do things like brush your dog's teeth every night for no charge during our boarding stays. - I've come to know the owner Sue and manager Deb during our 5 years of regular daycare and occasional boarding. Time and again, they have really, truly come through for us and demonstrated over and over again how much they care about the dogs. It's not about the money for them. read more

My dog loves going to Dogtastic Fun! She jumps out of the car when we arrive and rushes to the door. Everyone is so nice to my dog. It is evident that everyone who works there loves dogs. Sue, the owner, is amazing! She took a video of my dog playing once and showed it to me when I picked her up later that day. I really enjoyed getting to see that. She is decorating a Christmas tree in the lobby with picture ornaments featuring the dogs who go there on a daily basis. I highly recommend Dogastic Fun! I love taking my pup to Dogtastic Fun. Sue, the owner, is very caring and clearly loves animals. The hours are very convenient because it opens early: I can drop my dog off on my way to work since Sue opens the doors at 7am. Most importantly, my dog LOVES it here. I recently moved to the burbs from the city. I was looking for a great place for my pup Dori. I decided to give them a try and I'm glad that I did. Everyone is so very friendly.The owner Sue really made me feel comfortable from the start. The place is clean and most importantly my pup loves it here. Dogtastic is wonderful and I can't say enough positive things about this place. Sue and her staff are so caring and attentive with the dogs. My two small terriers love to come here. They are ALWAYS excited to come back and wag their tail and run around because they know it is going to be fun. The facility is very, very clean! I have traveled quite a bit this past year. During this time, my dogs have stayed at least 15 to 20 times for either over night or up to 1 week at a time. So, I have quite a bit of experience with Dogtastic and truly can give an honest high vote of confidence! I would really recommend anyone to feel good about boarding their dogs here. Sue and the staff take great care of our 2 border collies. We've tried some other places in the area but were never completely comfortable leaving our "girls". If I could give zero stars, I would. I took my dog there and discovered that there is no designated outdoor space for the dogs to play. There is no fence. All you see is a small space that goes out into the woods and highway with dog poop everywhere. Be careful, I think one of the workers has a drinking problem. I smelled it on her. She certainly acted like she was drinking. The owner doesn't care about whether or not your dog has immunizations. I overheard her taking dogs in without updated shots including rabies. How they have a license, I don't know. Go here if you DON'T care for your pet. read more
