Laura is one of the kindest people out there in dog training because she is the real deal. Laura never tried to push sessions on me but was the opposite. If I needed her for more sessions, basically it was up to me to call. The real work is with the dog owner so it appeared to me that she did not want to waste your money. When she found out my last dog died I found a sympathy card in my mailbox. This is Laura. Laurie was very professional, personable, kind and easy to work with. My dogs loved Laura. She has extensive knowledge and history with working with people, training classes as well as her radio station where she offers free information and advice to her audience regarding dog behavior. I recommended Laurie without hesitation to anyone that has a fur baby that needs some support. Just remember it is the owner that needs the support and if you follow the recommendations Laura provides you will get a better outcome with your pup.

Personally for me and my dogs needs, crate free boarding works best for her. She has very high crate anxiety and sometimes puts herself in unsafe situations at home. I spoke with a woman and maybe 10 minutes into our conversation she tells me my only option is board and train which would be sending my dog away for three weeks and it's usually $4200 but she would give it to me for $3400. I immediately tell her that that's not doable for me, and during our conversation I got very emotional and began to cry to which did not phase her. She continued the sales pitch without hesitation. The entire phone call was the most sales phone call I've ever experienced, it's like she was reading off a script and there was nothing personal about it. She wasn't listening to me to understand, she was listening to me in order to respond and she already knew what her responses would be before I was done speaking. So impersonal. I asked her to send me the payment plan options so I could look into it which she did but I also expressed to her that three weeks without my dog is a very hard decision for me to make. She told me to let her know in 24 hours if I was going to do it if I wanted the discounted price. That's a big decision to make in 24 hours, spending that amount of money and also sending my dog away for three weeks. I explained to her that this is not something I'm going to move forward with at this time because I cannot afford it and the length of the training does not work for me. I told her I would reach out if I change my mind in the future. She then texted me a text message that I thought was incredibly inappropriate and was intended to guilt me into taking the training. Now the price isn't just not doable for me because I want to save money, I literally don't have that money, and I don't have the money for the payment plan either it is simply too expensive for me. My entire phone call and also the follow up text message made me feel that they were more concerned about closing the sale and getting money then actually caring for and helping my dog. I even asked her if there were other options she basically told me no. If I am going to put my dog in the hands of other people for almost a month I want to be sure that I can trust them and that they actually care and that this isn't just another sale for them. I felt this was just another sale for them.

I brought my dog in after a…read morefriend recommended Lenny and paid up front for the 10 individual classes and supposedly "unlimited" group sessions. Every time we met, Lenny spent a long time trying to convince me to buy this or that expensive tool, such as a specific leather leash, a raised cot because the one we already had was not the same brand, a steel "car-safe" lead, etc. He wanted me to change the hand signals for commands that my dog already understood and responded to because they were different from the ones he uses. We attended weekly individual lessons and literally the only thing we got from it was that now my dog knows how to climb up and down the agility ramp. He wanted me to install a permanent tether into my wall to force my dog to stay so she would learn "place". This entire class is about breaking your dog's spirit. When we "graduated" from individual classes and attended our first group lesson, my dog was extremely distracted and excitable. We had not been prepared AT ALL for group lessons and when I tried to reach out for more assistance - when this was one of the first issues I had asked to address at enrollment - he tried to sell me on paying for more individual lessons. In addition to the waste of time and money from classes, Lenny would go on extremely racist and sexist tangents - about how people with certain color skin are more likely to attack you, how single women need guard dogs to protect them, etc. This was during the beginning of COVID and he would tell me I didn't need to wear a mask when I was there, so I finally bought and wore a rainbow mask that said "science is real, black lives matter, women's rights are human rights" and he realized I was not the correct target for his rants. There are cameras on the property, so it's an added security feature that is a plus! There are only four kennels, but fenced in with separate areas so all dogs have access to outside/inside if needed through a doggy door. Highly recommend!
