Let me start by saying I did not get training here, and for very good reason. The price was…read moreastronomical and I also had an awful experience during my phone consultation that completely turned me off and I wanted to warn people about it. I spoke with a woman and maybe 10 minutes into our conversation she tells me my only option is board and train which would be sending my dog away for three weeks and it's usually $4200 but she would give it to me for $3400. I immediately tell her that that's not doable for me, and during our conversation I got very emotional and began to cry to which did not phase her. She continued the sales pitch without hesitation. The entire phone call was the most sales phone call I've ever experienced, it's like she was reading off a script and there was nothing personal about it. She wasn't listening to me to understand, she was listening to me in order to respond and she already knew what her responses would be before I was done speaking. So impersonal. I asked her to send me the payment plan options so I could look into it which she did but I also expressed to her that three weeks without my dog is a very hard decision for me to make. She told me to let her know in 24 hours if I was going to do it if I wanted the discounted price. That's a big decision to make in 24 hours, spending that amount of money and also sending my dog away for three weeks. I explained to her that this is not something I'm going to move forward with at this time because I cannot afford it and the length of the training does not work for me. I told her I would reach out if I change my mind in the future. She then texted me a text message that I thought was incredibly inappropriate and was intended to guilt me into taking the training. Now the price isn't just not doable for me because I want to save money, I literally don't have that money, and I don't have the money for the payment plan either it is simply too expensive for me. My entire phone call and also the follow up text message made me feel that they were more concerned about closing the sale and getting money then actually caring for and helping my dog. I even asked her if there were other options she basically told me no. If I am going to put my dog in the hands of other people for almost a month I want to be sure that I can trust them and that they actually care and that this isn't just another sale for them. I felt this was just another sale for them.

She behaves and follows all the commands. We can eat dinner and she stays on her blanket and doesn't beg for food or try to jump up. We were kept up to date with text messages and videos during her stay. I have recommended Carlos and his team to several people. Thanks to them we have a great puppy.

I have used Country dog for training my great dane when she was a puppy. They are very friendly…read moreand helpful and I can still call them up with training questions when I have them. I worked in the daycare for under 3 weeks. The majority of the staff was unhappy about working…read morethere and even had complaints about the mistreatment of some animals. The daycare is not separated by playstyle, temperment, or size of dog, which to me is a recipe for disaster. I think of it this way...if there was a web cam in the daycare area, would you be happy with what you saw? How can you expect an extra large breed dog to play safely with a 5 or a 10 pound dog? Even if they are best friends, it is a dangerous play situation due to the varients in size. On the other hand, if they aren't playmates it becomes even more dangerous. Unfortunately, most of my time was spent watching senior staff rip apart dogs and discipline them by yelling, spraying with water or pinning to the floor to be the "alpha." I found that staff was dishonest about the dog's "play" experience when the owners would inquire about the day at daycare upon pick up. Most of the clients have personal relationships with the owner and probably assume that their dogs are having a great time. Unfortunately as stated by several staff, they report, "the owner has no idea what goes on with the dogs as she rarely interacts with them." Furthermore, understand that your dog will be crated from the time of drop off until about 9:30am and again for up to 1.5 hours during lunch and again in the evening before pickup. Dogs are crated regardless of what the website might advertise!! PLEASE, if you are a responsible pet owner...please ask yourself these questions before signing up your best friend for daycare? -What are the qualifications of the staff working there? -Is the staff trained in positive or negative behavioral training methods? -What is the limit to the number of dogs that the given daycare space can support? -What is the staff to dog ratio? -What vaccinations are required? These should include (Kennel cough, rabies, distemper and a negative stool sample). -Temperment testing is a must for the safety of your dog and other dogs! -Ask for a tour of the facility!! -Will my dog be crated at any period through out the day? -Where will my dog be sent if there is a medical emergency? -Is the staff trained in Pet CPR and First Aid? -(Also, make sure you seek out a daycare that separates dogs by play style, size and temperment). There are plenty out there and it makes all the difference!!) If you are thorough and you do your research you will find a daycare that is the right fit for you and your best friend! There are daycares that have webcams set up all day so you can watch your pup play from your work desk. Camp bow wow is one of these daycares. On a positive note, the grooming staff seems great! There are also a few professional trainers that do a wonderful job teaching training classes in the evenings!
