Let me start by saying I did not get training here, and for very good reason. The price was astronomical and I also had an awful experience during my phone consultation that completely turned me off and I wanted to warn people about it. I spoke with a woman and maybe 10 minutes into our conversation she tells me my only option is board and train which would be sending my dog away for three weeks and it's usually $4200 but she would give it to me for $3400. I immediately tell her that that's not doable for me, and during our conversation I got very emotional and began to cry to which did not phase her. She continued the sales pitch without hesitation. The entire phone call was the most sales phone call I've ever experienced, it's like she was reading off a script and there was nothing personal about it. She wasn't listening to me to understand, she was listening to me in order to respond and she already knew what her responses would be before I was done speaking. So impersonal. I asked her to send me the payment plan options so I could look into it which she did but I also expressed to her that three weeks without my dog is a very hard decision for me to make. She told me to let her know in 24 hours if I was going to do it if I wanted the discounted price. That's a big decision to make in 24 hours, spending that amount of money and also sending my dog away for three weeks. I explained to her that this is not something I'm going to move forward with at this time because I cannot afford it and the length of the training does not work for me. I told her I would reach out if I change my mind in the future. She then texted me a text message that I thought was incredibly inappropriate and was intended to guilt me into taking the training. Now the price isn't just not doable for me because I want to save money, I literally don't have that money, and I don't have the money for the payment plan either it is simply too expensive for me. My entire phone call and also the follow up text message made me feel that they were more concerned about closing the sale and getting money then actually caring for and helping my dog. I even asked her if there were other options she basically told me no. If I am going to put my dog in the hands of other people for almost a month I want to be sure that I can trust them and that they actually care and that this isn't just another sale for them. I specifically said my dog was biting people at unpredictable times and has major separation anxiety. He recommended a 3 week boot camp and I was desperate so I did it. It was a complete disappointment and waste of money. Communication while they had my dog was next to none. Pretty sure he spend most of those 3 weeks alone in a crate. I would leave no stars if I could. Our initial consultation was great, we went there with our brand new French bull dog. He came from England, he was shell shocked from travel- which was not taken into account for his reactivity. We were quickly talked into paying for lessons up front- paying for services that aren't rendered isn't the norm. We paid for 5 sessions and only had one, no one would ever call us back. They had us using a slip lead leash, which is completely contraindicated in a 4 month old French bulldog that their delicate little bones are growing, therefore causing a pinched nerve and IVDD- which is a known fact about this breed. Since the help of "coaching 4 paws" we have spent over 3k in vet bills trying to save our baby's life. They still will not return our calls, our money, so I've finally had it and I'm posting here. If you love your pet, please do your homework, this place is money hungry and could cost you your pets life. There is not one single employee that works for this business that does not genuinely love animals. They offer so many fantastic things like training, grooming, boarding, even crate free boarding where someone is physically with the dogs overnight! Personally for me and my dogs needs, crate free boarding works best for her. She has very high crate anxiety and sometimes puts herself in unsafe situations at home. So I feel so much more at ease while I'm gone on a work trip and have to board her because they offer this option! I've also utilized this business for training my pup! And let me just tell you WOW. They are so patient, so kind, not with not only training my dog, but training me. If it wasn't for them and the personal trainings or even group trainings they offer, my dog would probably always have to be on a leash, would never walk next to me and still be pulling me while on walks. Plus because of the training and doggy daycare they offer my pup is a social butterfly and not scared of other animals. This business is the absolute worst. We had an evaluation which we had to pay for just to discuss what type of training we wanted with our dog. When the trainer came she was great and we discussed the issues with the dog and she quoted us a price and we decided on what we thought we wanted to do for a plan moving forward. When we receive the initial proposal from the owner Carlos it was completely not what we discussed with the trainer. We had to call him to discuss what we actually wanted to see and the trainer quoted us prices verbally they didn't match up with the final offer. He wanted $1400+ for 10 private training sessions. When we called up to clarify because this wasn't what was discussed (after several attempts to connect and discuss) he left a voicemail back trying to make us feel bad because he's doing us a favor and telling us that the price is a limited time offer if we decide to do it if we want to look at other trainers and then come back it would be different. This guy is a total scam artist run as fast as you can. I shouldn't have to run after a business for them to take me as a client. I'm giving you money, there are many people that do the same work more professionally and for a better price. Anyone that is this unbalanced, should not be around animals or people. read more

Do not give this man any business. He is unprofessional and has no customer service skills. I apologize for the lengthy review, but hopefully it's useful information! I brought my dog in for off leash training...we were going once a week for hour long sessions with Ally - she is a great trainer. I knew personally that I was not fulfilling my end of the bargain with his homework due to my work schedule, so I decided to change up my training, and have him stay overnight for a week. I was promised that he was going to be pulled aside three times a day to train. They also said, that they were going to work with him individually, then graduate him into commands while distracted- and lastly a trip to Petsmart, so he could master his commands in a place full of doggie distractions! I picked my dog up...and he was still very much leash dependent (I paid for off leash training) - they are extremely dependent on the use of e-collars here, so don't expect to ever take it off of your dog. The thing that disturbed me the most, was when I first used the correction button on my dog's collar, at my pick up session...he was completely terrified and shut down. After a week of training, I would expect my dog to be used to his training collar. When I brought my dog home, he peed all over the house...and refused to leave the bathroom. He wouldn't even respond to a simple 'come' command. - after a week of training?? He also was not taught 'stay'. Another basic command. I reached out and described my disappointment - they are full of excuses. They told me they had videos of him...they sent one - it was an individual session, and he was working on something that we had already learned together in our classes. I asked if he was taken to Petsmart as promised, and got no response. I had no desire to bring my dog back and finish out my lessons, because I knew my dog would not be comfortable at their facility. I asked for a small reimbursement of $400 (I paid $1600 for off leash - it's $1200 for on leash...I figured I would pay for what got) I was told no. They either won't respond to you, or you'll get a bunch of excuses as to why you're the awful dog owner, and they did their job. Also...if you wanted to check them out for daycare or overnight stays...they do not have a fenced in yard for the dogs to go outside in...so they let the dogs piss all over the place indoors...if your dog comes home and starts exhibiting that behavior...it's because that's what he or she learned there read more

I paid $90 for " evaluation" which was more like a party! I was in a large greeting room and EVERY customer came in had questions and needs!! So, the hour long evaluation was actually 5 min! I'm that 5 min conversation Brook knew my dog?!? told me my dog would need 10 sessions and each session $130. I felt uneasy the whole time. we are in search of one on one training. Our 3 year old golden retriever went to Carlos for 1:1 training and it was the best decision we've ever made! We've tried going to trainers in the past and had little to no success, and we were even told our dog was "hopeless" and a "lost cause." Well fast forward 7 weeks or so later, and our dog is unrecognizable in the best way possible! Carlos did AMAZING work with our dog and took his time to make sure we knew how to maintain training and consistency and ensure our dog was successful in the home. Even though our time with Carlos has ended, we use the skills he taught us each and everyday to ensure consistency and now our dog is thriving and exceptionally well behaved. Terrible communication and non existent follow up. Getting in touch with someone to actually speak with beyond text or email is difficult. If I could give zero stars I would. We had one of their trainers come out to our home to evaluate our dogs for undesirable behavior. I will say this she herself was terrific in person. However follow up for a price quote and action plan for her recommended 2 week away "dog boot camp" (dog out of our home and staying at their facility) didn't come until weeks later and I had to chase that down. So the cost of this $2,100.00. Yep, not a typo $2,100.00. No way we can afford that. So I asked for a different plan, that was in home training. Since the behavior only happens at home. Radio silence, zero follow up, no calls, texts or emails back. I suggest going to someone else. Unless you have money to burn and lots of time to chase after them for follow up. read more

Our dog needed basic obedience training and has aggression towards kids and other dogs so we got recommended to Carlos. He evaluates your dogs behavior (and their owners) to see how severe the case is and then makes a training schedule based on what he feel has to be done. Our dog used to literally choke herself when we brought her on walks because she would pull so much. With the help of Carlos she now can go on walks off leash and can enjoy running around in the yard with no leash. He also taught her "place" and now we can eat dinner, sweep the floor with her staying in her bed. We still have some work to go with her but the results I am seeing are remarkable so we will not give up on her and we will give her whatever training he recommends. Our 15 month old Female GSD needed a lot of training. We got her when she was 7 months old and she had not been in a "home" setting prior to us. She didn't have basic house rules and her mischief was out of control. After we worked with her on our own (with some success) we decided she needed more formal training. We had a very in depth phone consultation with Carlos and knew right away he was the Trainer for our girl, Ruby Mae. Ruby went for the 3 week board and train. Carlos and team sent us updates, videos and pics, which made the 3 weeks much easier to handle. After the 3 weeks were over Carlos dropped Ruby off to our home where we had over an hour training session to show us the commands and how to use the ecollar. Our life since Ruby got home has improved so much! We can have Ruby in the yard off leash where she can play and run freely, like a dog should! She is able to get her energy out now in a proper way which has drastically cut down her mischief in the home. When people used to come over, she would bark and charge at them. Now, she still barks, but she stays on her "place" until she calms down and has a chance to sniff them. The place command is a life saver! I cannot recommend Carlos and his team at Coaching for Paws more!! Ruby has been home for just over a month now and they even text us every so often asking how she is! Since they clearly censor their other social media pages to only show all 5 star reviews, I MUST review my in home evaluation to let folks know to be careful while choosing a trainer that is suppose to be a so called "professional" ..lets face it any one can call themselves a "trainer" with this facility you are not getting a so called "professional" in my opinion. If this training facility were professional then they would be open to criticism wether it was a good or bad review left by anyone/anywhere, you shouldn't have to censor people and allow them to fully give their own reviews of any type, that's just not professional when you censor! In order to be professional you need to have balanced training methods of various styles. I got an hour in home evaluation that was not for the full hour in which they failed to follow through to offer me estimate(s) with up coming training plans. Just as well as this so called "professional" trainer came to my home to evaluate my dog only using a squirt water bottle on my dog while in his crate, to continue to act afraid to place a slip lead on my dog to only choke him out as he only tried to get to me across the room, I am the one person he has known and trusts, why wouldn't when he's being treated poorly?.. the session continues with her only attempting in her words to "provoke" my dog by touching, and pushing him with a tennis racquet to try to show me how aggressive he can actually be, never happened!, so why?!!.. Yet in the end I had paid my evaluation fee, with only being promised the by the end of the week I would receive an estimate for an up coming training plan. I NEVER received one!! Just as well as while scheduling this in home evaluation I clearly stated how well I do know my dog, what has or has not worked for him making it clear that negative/ fearful training does not work well for my dog at all, that's all he were shown in his evaluation! I were told that I should send my dog away to be trained, after seeing all I had, I really would feel comfortable sending my dog away for a few weeks for them to train him?.. so then it were suggested to me that one on one private sessions which I should plan to spend a few hundreds of dollars to purchase an E-Collar, while getting the entire lecture about why it should never be called a shock collar, how it doesn't hurt or make dogs fearful, why I should choose this option?. I am sorry, he previously had a positive reinforcement trainer while within Rescue who does not service my area, her methods being slow resulting in more effort and time by me, where actually working, any given under socialized dog now living months in his new home possibly would only have up coming behavioral issues that would need work, in his lifetime as time/life changes, no?, which is why I attempted to try this training facility out to hopefully find a new positive reinforcement trainer, not happening here! They claim they're SO professional that they could 100% guarantee they can train my dog, the issue I have is this evaluation is unacceptable, I NEVER wanted my dog to only be set back as such, while they failed to follow through, if they are so "professional" why can they not come up with a positive reinforcement training plan, clicker training plan... SOMETHING other than a squirt water bottle, tennis racquet, or e-collar aka yes shock collar on my dog that had only made him more anxious/fearful then he had been?. If you actually are a "professionally" trained trainer, they ALL should be balanced trainers to be able to offer ANY style of dog training for my dog, yet my fee were just taken, never followed up upon, ever attempting to make it right, other to give back my evaluation fee.. I only ever wanted folks to know how my dog in a simple in home evaluation were only made to be more anxious/fearful, nothing more, It has never been about the cost, my dog is my responsibility if I could not afford him I would have never adopted him! I literally only tried to choose to be a responsible dog owner to only help my dog behaviorally with his newly grown issues. I think it is only right to allow me to be able to not be censored to post my review(s) so others can read about what happened to my dog, not just all approved 5 star only positive reviews from others to be read, I'm not saying they can not or don't train dogs, just for me they have been VERY unprofessional in regards to not offering me what I originally asked for, yet had taken my money all for nothing but only making my dog more anxious and fearful than he were prior to even bothering with this so called, not so in my eyes, professional training evaluation! We adopted our dog from a rescue and they recommended Carlos for training. Our dog pulled very hard on the leash and would leap at squirrels and diesel engines so hard that he would flip in the air as he hit the end of the leash. He was also going crazy to get at our cats and we couldn't leave him home uncrated or he he would tear the place up. After six sessions our dog was place trained and loose lease walking. We can now walk him off leash and he is healed and has very good recall. We can leave him home in our room unsupervised and he sleeps with the cats Thank you Carlos and staff! read more
