She cares so much for animals and the way they are treated and trained. She focuses on positive reinforcement and is thoughtful in how she responds and interacts with dogs. She helped us counteract some of our puppies negative behaviors with replacing them with more acceptable behaviors. Both of our Labradoodles have also stayed with Melanie for Board and Train (multiple times). Each time our pups returned they were calm and ready to show off their new skills (like staying on their beds during meal times). She also sent us photos and videos to show us the progress they made while we were away. We just love the positive influence Melanie has had on our pups. We also have 2 children and Melanie worked with both of them to teach them training techniques they could use with our dogs. We have recommend several friends to Melanie who have also had great experiences with her training their dogs as well. We highly recommend Melanie and Wagmore dog training!

After seeing him a few times the Vet recommended a strong treatment of prozac to help alleviate his symptoms. However, before going the chemical route I wanted to try solving his symptoms in a more holistic manner. After a few renowned trainers told me he was a lost cause, trainers who probably build their reputation based on the easiest of cases, Melanie Bennet entered the picture. We had a consultation and Melanie was compassionate with my dog and helped me understand his mindset as well as a training regimen that could help him improve. She was very realistic in managing my expectations and helped me understand what was achievable in the training and what would be a stretch. I enrolled my dog in a 4-week training bootcamp where Melanie focused on teaching my dog relaxation techniques. Some things I observed after my first visit is that he would lay down a lot, I thought he was tired or scared but then learned Melanie trained him to do that whenever he was overly aroused. Similarly he would stop moving his tail to calm himself down. Throughout successive visits I observed how my dog was more composed and relaxed. He was also paying more attention to me so he could follow my lead. After the first three weeks he had been able to learn to calm himself down enough to reinforce the basics and learn a few cute tricks. He learned how to walk on a gentle leader and how to spin and touch a cone on command. When he came back home people could not believe what they were seeing. I no longer had to hide my dog in my bedroom whenever I had visitors in an attempt to shield them from my dog's anxiety. As long as the visitors knew the ground rules to avoid arousing my dog too much, we had a perfect interaction, something that would have been impossible before. Furthermore, the training did not end there. Melanie provided extensive documentation on what I could do to reinforce and continue his training, which was very useful for me as I did not know how to avoid undoing all of Melanie's fantastic work. Overall, I highly recommend Melanie to any person who wants to have their dog properly trained, especially is that dog needs special attention. Melanie is a professional of the highest level of loves her job and is dedicated to the welfare of the dogs she trains. In the 8 years I've had my dog, and the countless trainers that have tried to help him, I had never met anyone like her. She has my full trust when it comes to my dog.

I tell our trainers Katie and Nicole all of the time that they are life savers. We brought our puppy here at 1 years old - a small wild, energetic Jack Russell who knew every time I was on a video meeting to bark his head off and embarrass me EVERY TIME! Walks were out of the question since he would pull on the leash to the point he would choke himself... sitting on the deck was a nightmare in our own backyard because he would bark at the wind (yes, the wind), the leaves moving, the birds and obviously the neighbors. Does this sound familiar? I questioned my decision of getting a puppy and then I found Max K9. We did a 3 week Board & Train where I was super hesitant of dropping him off (because no one wants to leave their baby anywhere), but they were so good with sending video progress and pictures and including my husband and I in the process. I joke with everyone that I think they implanted a program into his brain! Lol! The transformation was unreal. We were instantly able to communicate with him and actually go on a walk.. outside in the real world. What a breath of fresh air, literally! Max K9 has given us the ability to live an active lifestyle and have our pup enjoy it with us. Hikes, traveling, morning walks, trips to the store, brewery visits, long car rides out of state... you name it. I would do it all over again if I had to without a question. So if you've made it this far, thanks for reading. I hope this helps you make your decision to having a better relationship with your pup and enjoying life with them every step of the way.

We were having trouble trying to help him adjust from living in the south on a large property to living in a one bedroom apartment with cats and a smaller back yard. We were set up with our trainer, Jim, he educated us on how to handle Keiko properly (from basic obedience to different enrichment), build a better bridge of communication and help with his confidence. Our last session Keiko even decided he was going to try one of the obstacles from maximum K9's agility course (no prompting from us) shocking both me and my fiancé. Safe to say Keiko loves Maximum K9 as much as we do . Since our training we have been able to do so much more and get Keiko better involved in our activities (which we know he loves). They also have so many great treats, toys, and training tools for those at varying levels in their store portion.

Cookie was loving but she had a TERRIBLE nipping problem (along with other issues). She had gone through 2 trainers already and nothing was working. With a 7 year old child in the house, Cookie spent most of her time in her crate. I just could not risk my daughter accidentally getting hurt. Cookie went with Danny for 4 weeks and she came back a whole new dog. Before Danny, cookie was never allowed to roam the house. I am forever grateful for Danny's patience. He would send me updates, pictures and videos on Cookies progress. He even followed up with another lesson to show my dad how to properly handle Cookie at home. Thank you Danny! You saved Cookie.

Couldn't be more proud of this pup. 6 weeks ago she was everything to me but was also very tough to manage. She was the sweetest dog 1 on 1 but had her special way of going complete berserko any time someone else entered the room. A few weeks ago a photo like this wasn't even worth trying for. She always moved out of frame and could never stay still for more than a few seconds. Marlon of @k9u_ny trained her to become not just more obedient, but a focused presence that is always looking for ways to ensure I'm loved. I feel as though I have a dog that's constantly on the look out for me. It's hard to put into words how comforting that is. It's the whole reason why I got her and after two tough years of losing hope that she'd always be a handful, here she is posing with easy for me to snap a portrait... without even the need for treats. Their service top to bottom is extraordinary. Marlon was always quickly reachable, he provided constant updates, his team was always on point and on their A game. Whether your dog is an intentional Covid pup or an unintentional one like Althea, consider reaching out to Marlon. He will change your dog's life and yours as well. I can't recommend him and his team enough. Althea, I'm looking forward to all of our adventures ahead. Especially now that you're not just a sane dog, but because you've become the best dog. We wanted to teach our dog basic obedience and work on making sure he didn't bolt right out the door whenever he saw the door open. Our dog made a tremendous amount of progress in just six weeks working with *Uncle Marlon*. At this time, we also sprinkled in a bit of day care facility to get August used to socializing properly with other dogs and learning to seperate himself from us On Saturday, for our wedding day, Marlon picked up August at 10:30 from our house and took him to daycare at his facility. He brought him to meet us at our venue at 4 and the took him back to be boarded that evening. We were so excited to have pictures with our baby on our wedding attire and can't wait to see pictures! We picked August up that Sunday ... and boy did he have a great time! 10000/10 for the greeting we got when we picked him up!! The staff is so sweet and makes the dogs feel so at home while they're away from home. We usually send August with his food, treats and a few things from home (toy, bed, blanket). Alyssa sends us pictures and videos of him playing and making new friends. It's the cutest thing ever.
