Dr Barotz is a real find. She is the best of both worlds; a Cornell Vet school graduate and…read moreextremely knowledgeable in a Chinese medicine approach. She believes in both, each complimenting and supporting the other. That's what I wanted and need for my best friend and little boy, Trooper. On top of that, she is happy to work with a patients' regular Vet and studies their medical records thoroughly. She has a gentle, caring manner and spends the time to fully explain her analysis, opinions and reasons for her recommendations. Dr Barotz has a 360 degree approach and the education, knowledge and experience to carry it out. I am so very happy to have her at our side through what is a very tough time. My Trooper has liver cancer. Thanks to her, I have a much better understanding of how I can give Trooper's body more support and comfort, as well as other options I might have for his care. I wish I had known her when I first adopted Trooper 11 years ago, through sickness AND health. I think we can take better care of our little friends with her full approach.

A frustrating thing about being a dog parent in NY is, the boroughs and Long Island are full of organic, wholistic, integrative options for humans. From integrative wellness centers (usually unaffordable), to organic restaurants, organic coffee, wine, cotton, and yoga - there's plenty of wholistic/ integrative options for humans, and almost none for our animal friends. Seems like every veterinarian, even if they offer acupuncture, all operate on the same protocols, the same narrow areas of knowledge where they don't see the body as an interconnected system. It's a relief to know the folks at Williston Park Animal Hospital, to finally have a vet who offers things beyond the usual tweak-one-thing-but-worsen-another paradigm of allopathic medicine. 99% of vets should all have the same advertisement, at best - A comfortable waiting area, a team of people who genuinely love animals, but have such a narrow knowledge base that they may as well be interchangeable cogs in a machine, all offering the same things - that's how medical schools churn out graduates, however well meaning. Dr Hardoon knows about herbal medicine, noninvasive therapies, takes her time and answers my too-many questions. Their prices are challenging (if they offer a foot soak, ask the cost before agreeing!), but cheaper vets who have a smaller, more toxic toolbox end up costing more. On multiple occasions, I asked Dr Hardoon about additional testing, just in case, and when she could have pushed more things that resulted in a higher bill, she explained why she didn't think the additional testing was necessary. As my baby is getting older, there is huge peace of mind in knowing a vet who thinks wholistically and respects choices.

I first met Liz last April (2016) when my Boxer became ill. She helped him and myself in many ways. Making his life comfortable in my home with her care. She was able to draw his blood here at home and then drop the vials off to my Veterinarian. This made a huge difference in me having to get my dog in/out of the car etc. Truly she reduced most of the stress. She worked with my Vet so that my boy could have the best of both worlds. She provides IV fluids and acupressure among many other services. Over time Liz has worked with all three of my dogs. Sally Rodriguez Hamm (FurMom)

I HIGHLY recommend her for pet care. Taking a holistic approach to pet health, Liz focuses on your pet and your family...and your individual preferences. She and I worked together on a health plan for my pup. When we first met, my sweet Oakley was given a 2-3 month prognosis. A year and a half later, he was still chasing chipmunks in the yard. I am certain this was very much in part due to Liz's connection with him and her careful and nurturing manner. She's the professional, the rock, the strength, the nurturing...the ONE you need for your pet. You will thank me, I promise.

There were plenty of dogs showing off with neat tricks and the place is spacious enough that it doesn't feel cramped. The kids go into a groups of 2-3 and takes turn going to sectioned areas to play with the trained pups. I was afraid that my daughter with eczema would have a scratching fit from the dogs, but they were all well-groomed and no odor at all. All the toys I touched didn't feel grimy and old. I can tell they take good care of this facility. A big plus is it's air conditioned and plenty of seats for the adults! Lots of times at kids' parties, the parents have to find odd things to sit on or stand, which is not a problem here. If you are looking to throw a birthday party, this is your place!

I searched online, found this center, and scheduled a session in the interim. I got to spend time with the sweetest dog, who snuggled up and hung out with me for the duration of my time there. It was perfect for me. Vicki and the dog's owner listened to my situation and offered suggestions and information for proceeding with obtaining an ESA dog of my very own. A second dog and his owner came by too and I was able to see them practicing in the agility/obstacle course pen and play with him as well. I haven't felt so relaxed in a long time, it really made my day. What a wonderful place and caring people!
