He was a pleasant, agreeable doctor and I cried when he moved on, but he left his office in the good hands of Dr. Krawczyk. Dr. Krawcyzk and his wonderful assistant Gwynne have taken very good care of my aged dog Mocha. Unfortunately, last Monday we had to put Mocha down just shy of his 14th birthday. I was hysterical on my drive over to the hospital but the kind and gentle Dr. K and his stalwart supporter Gwynne made the transition for Mocha painless and comfortable. I will never forget how devoted this team is and I highly recommend them for all your veterinary needs.

I'm glad I had this happen here and not by myself at home. The office staff was also very helpful and friendly through this sad event. My husband inherited this cockatoo from his grandparents, so we actually didn't have a vet visit at all until the bird had health issues. Dr Monaco fit us in right away and was so calm and professional about everything.

From the very beginning, Dr. Kamran was so incredibly kind, taking an immense amount of time and care to explain every single part of the surgery and the recovery process with us. To our absolute amazement, he called us every single night and morning after Finn's surgery just to check in on his recovery. That level of dedication is unheard of! Una's Emergency Care Then, just five days later, the unthinkable happened. One of our cats, Una, required an emergency cystotomy--and Dr. Kamran performed it on Memorial Day! Her recovery has been a bit more complicated since we found out she suffers from FLUTD. However, both Dr. Kamran and Dr. Infernuso took great care and time to explain the condition to us and guide us through it. An Incredible Support System It's been a very stressful few weeks for us dealing with the surgeries and recoveries of two of our beloved babies at the same time. But Dr. Kamran and the entire staff have been absolutely incredible! No matter the time of day or night, someone has always been there to answer our questions and ease our worries. A Huge Thank You! Thank you so very much to the AMAZING Dr. Kamran, Dr. Infernuso, and all the veterinary technicians, assistants, managers, and receptionists at the Animal Surgical Center! They kept me in contact. They called me numerous times after I picked my dog up from surgery. I have to say I'm the type of person that treats my dog as a human and this place understood the assignment the staff was exceptional. The place was clean. And they made me feel so much better about the whole situation and they gave me a one-on-one on exactly how to care for my dog postop because I went in blind not knowing what to do. This place was different. They realized my dog is older and I wanted minimal test and treatments. They clarified some past misdiagnosis, and really helped me with a minimal treatment plan that worked best for me and my dog. They took such good care of me and my senior doggy!

As soon as my wife answered, the Vet grabbed the phone out of my hands (seriously) and started yelling that they do not do this exam and we should not rely on what the front desk tells us. Even the Vet's assistant in the room was embarrased by her boss. Dr. Nearenberg hung up with my wife, handed me my phone back and tried to sell me probiotics --something we tried already in the past. They charged me $90 for that visit. For what? I'm back where I started.

All of the staff was kind and helpful. Our veterinarian, Dr. Michael Weisberg, and nurse were incredible! West Babylon Animal Hospital & Animal Hospital of Elmont…read more Our cat was brought to Dr. Maddinen at West Babylon Animal Hospital, his ear was bleeding from inside the Ear Canal. Dr. Maddinen did a Biopsy and it came back with Cancer. We were told that he has a "Board Certified" Surgeon that comes in once a week to do Speciality Surgeries. The doctor was Dr. Shaik of Animal Hospital of Elmont. We called Elmont and was told that he was a Board Certified Surgeon, which is not true. Dr. Maddinen told us that our cat would need an Ear Ablation/TECA that Dr. Shaik would remove the Ear Canal (TECA). One year later after the surgery a Tumor the size of an apple grew practically overnight on the side and bottom part of the ear that the Ablation was done. We took our kitty back to Dr. Maddinen in which he gave us Prednisone and Mirtazapine (Appetite Stimulate) he basically told us that there was nothing we could do and the cat would die in 2 months, he threw in the towel and offered no help. Well, thats not what we do with our loved ones. We told him we were going to get a second opinion and needed all the Surgical Notes, Blood work and Cytology reports..he gave us all except the Surgical notes and said that we didn't need them, we told him that we wanted them anyway. After many requests Dr. Maddinen never got them for us. We called Animal Hospital of Elmont and demanded the notes from the Surgery, which they said to call West Babylon Animal Hospital.,actually the notes were never done and Dr. Maddinen wrote them that day, without any doctors names on them, unbelievable and unprofessional. We went for the second opinion to a Credited Board Certified Surgeon and we were told the Ear Ablation, performed by Dr. Shaik was done completely WRONG. This was a botched Surgery by a backroom traveling Surgeon, unqualified to do an Ear Ablation or any other complicated Surgery. We are writing this review to prevent things like this to happen to other Pets by this doctor. Choose wisely for who you want to care for your loved ones..
