I really, really appreciate Dr. Weisberg. He is absolutely amazing with my nervous and fidgety puppy. He spends a ton of time with me as a new dog owner- almost up to an hour when I came in a with routine concern about allergies. My dog, Lily, loves and adores him. She recently had an upset stomach and he was prompt in responding to my text messages to reassure me on next steps. He also followed up to make sure everything was ok. I am so grateful and he is absolutely the best!

Great clean and fast vet service. Walked in and within a few minutes I was seen to have a tick removed on my dog that I found that very same day.

Finally a vet that I'm not waiting hours at for a visit! Today was my first visit with dr. Pena, and she was amazing and very thorough. This is definitely my new vet to go to. Thank you everyone at Bond!

The vet and assistance were so caring for my dog. They had a lot of patience and accommodated us. I would definitely recommend!

I brought my dog in on a Sunday AM (my regular vet is closed on Sundays) because of severe diarrhea ( to the point of not being able to lift her hind legs) all night on Saturday. I thought they would test the stool sample (VEG told me they do not test stool samples which I later found out to be untrue) and prescribe some antibiotics but instead they did a battery of blood work and found nothing and sent me home with some probiotics. She got worse and I brought her back after a few hours, after more blood work, I was sent home with some pain meds. My dog got worse over the next 24 hours, and when I brought her to my regular vet on Monday, they tested the stool and prescribed antibiotics for Giardia. My dog was better after the first dose. The bill from VEG was astronomical and my poor dog was still in pain, unnecessarily for over 24 hours, even after going to VEG twice. I filed a complaint with a manager at VEG in Garden City and they said they would run it by the Director but I still haven't heard back. My complaint was filed on May 11, 2026. Today is May 21, 2026.

One of my dogs, Queenie, was attacked by a much larger dog and suffered a collapsed lung. We were devasted. Other veterinarians were saying Queenie was in very bad shape and might not survive. When we brought her to West Hempstead Animal Hospital, Dr. DeVito gave Queenie her undivided attention, canceling most of her non-urgent appointments that day to focus entirely on saving her. Dr. Devito didn't give up. She worked tirelessly, treated her with incredible care, and fought for her life. Not only did Queenie survive-she went on to live an additional 11 healthy, happy years. That level of skill, compassion, and commitment is rare. If you want a veterinarian who truly cares and will go above and beyond for your pet, West Hempstead Animal Hospital is the place to go. I will always be grateful to Dr. DeVito and her team

During visits, the doctor would call you as you're outside to walk you through their check up. For nail trims, they just do it and bring them back. It's extremely hard to get an appointment if you are not already a patient so make sure you're on their roster! I've brought my buns in for both regular check ups, grooming and unfortunately a scary time for one. During that, Dr Saver kept my bun under watch for a few nights but never tried to do it just to upsell services or overcharge. It was all for precaution and I can tell that she cared. I was a bit of a mess as i wanted to be there for the little guy but truly appreciated being able to bring him into their care. He was better after a few days and yes, it's a vet bill you never expect, but nothing too insane.

My Beloved Rabbit Oreo died here unnecessarily and it's not okay! I brought her in with a digestive…read moreissue which I know is a common issue with rabbits. The vet gave her an x-ray scan when I brought her in, and the scan showed that the food in her stomach may not have been passing through properly. Her stomach was full, but her intestines were not. She said she would give her some medication that would loosen up the food so it could pass through more easily. I expected she would follow up with her progress with another x-ray scan in a day or two to see if it was working, that did not happen. They said they only feed them hay and would not give the rabbits veggies or herbs. I told them that she prefers her veggies and herbs and really needs to have them doesn't prefer hay. I called every day to check on her. They kept saying "she is doing okay but she's not quite there yet". I figured another day I would get to pick her up. I called and asked the Vet if she did a follow up scan to see if the food had passed yet, she said no. I figured after asking her if she did a follow-up x-ray scan that she would now go ahead and do it since I requested it. She did not. I was expecting to pick her up the next day or so. I then got a call at 7:00 am saying I had better hurry and come in right away because Oreo was laying on her side and wasn't going to make it much longer. You had been telling me all along she was doing okay. How did you not know this until it was too late? The Vet said they found her that way when they came in in the morning! Why was no one watching over her during the night. Why didn't they recognize any warning signs that she was in distress during her treatment, which as rabbit professionals, I would expect they should be aware of. I was paying to have round-the-clock medical care to save her life! All they had to do was try to offer her some herbs and veggies. She would have eaten it! I also didn't mind paying full price or more, I just wanted her to have proper care. They should have been paying much closer attention to see if and when she was actually eating and also tried to offer her any type of greens or any food in addition to the critical care to at least see if she would start eating food that she ate normally every day. Telling me she was eating hay and producing poop over the phone is clearly not what was occurring. My heart is broken for her because I feel she suffered starvation here and would have otherwise survived. They also should have done a follow-up scan to check her progress the following day and checked with me to confirm her proper feeding regiment which they did not do. I would have paid extra for the scan if that was an issue. Then they should have stopped the medication at that point and focused on her eating properly. If I had known how bad she was doing, I would have picked her up and fed her critical care and veggies myself at home and monitored her myself overnight. They should have called me and communicated what was happening. I truly believe she would still be alive. They refused to feed her anything but hay and critical care after I repeatedly told them she is very picky and rarely ate her hay and only liked to pick at it. She preferred her veggies and herbs like Parsley, Dill, and Cilantro and at least she would have some food in her belly. Continually giving her that medication without properly monitoring her food intake ended up starving her to death. When I got there, and she was dying, they "NOW' decided to do the x-ray scan when it was way too late and found no food at all in her digestive tract, she was completely empty after repeatedly telling me she was eating hay and producing poop regularly. This was not possible considering the scan proved otherwise. The scan showed that the food blockage passed through and was no longer an issue, at this point she only needed to be fed properly based on her eating preferences. They should have done the x-ray scan on the 2nd day to check her progress to see if the food had moved through properly. Then the vet stuck her finger in Oreo's side, it was cruel, when she was dying, and tried to tell me she had a pain response that she "may" have cancer as a diversion to what was occurring, and she was in perfect health prior to this. The blood work also showed all was normal. The Vet also poked her in the eye when she was dying also which I am very upset about. I want to thank Dr. Savor for consoling me after she passed, I am very appreciative of that, however at that point there was nothing I could do but weep and mourn. I could not express my dissatisfaction at that time because I was tending to my bunny as she was passing, and it would not have helped the situation. My experience with Dr. Savor has been relatively positive and I do believe she cares deeply, and I do appreciate her. It was not her time to pass. My family and I are completely distraught over her passing.
