He was able to accommodate a same-day request as Maggie May's health went downhill a little quicker than we had expected, and was very clear as he walked us through the steps and what to expect. Most importantly, Maggie May had a relaxed and peaceful end of life in her own home with the people who loved her.

So besides needing eye drops for glaucoma and a cataract she required Prednisone. Well we all see these commercials for wonder drugs ( the wonder is why we take them with all the side effects) so even though the Prednisone gave my girl relief it slowly started to effect other systems. Last week in what appeared to be overnight she slowly stopped eating but only drank. That was a red flag. Took her to an emergency facility which was a nightmare. Four hours sitting around waiting for some diagnosis. Every so often someone would come out and give some empty info. Finally a vet came out and provided me with a 3 page plan with an estimate that sent me to the cardiologist. This where Zen Dog comes in. Based on the diagnosis and the plan with no light at the end we felt the best most humane course of action was to euthanize. Spoke with Dr. Ray., he could not have been more understanding and compassionate. He showed up at the house took the time to explain the process. Once comfortable with what was going to happen he started. Dr Ray gave us time to be with her and comfort her until the end. It was a very tough thing to deal with but she went with family around in her home and peacefully. If anyone who reads this is at that point with their beloved pet, Zen Dog is in my opinion a great comforting option

I decided to get his documents and get him certified for travel to Germany my local direct to dislocation for the paperwork. They made the process extremely simple, straightforward, explained all the details. It was not a cheap proposition, but the piece of mind they gave me was worth every penny. After my trip, I became a return customer for my ChiChi's routine care. I must point out, the staff here is extremely friendly and everyone is just so pleasant.

On July 13 this was done, He was in CHF on July 28th, she said she consulted with cardiologist and he did not need meds *she never gave him meds even though my other dog that sees Dr. Colberg there has been on Vet Medin for two years.*. $1600 with her consult including bloodwork, and EKG. $5,000 at Med Vet to save his life. Now he is going to see a cardiologist in White Plains, NY. She should have recommended this from day one. She is not a cardiologist. I went to this practice because I have known Dr. Colberg for years and trust her opinion. If you go there ask for her only. I am out $6,600. Now he sees a cardiologist and that is more money starting at square one. And he almost died on top of this. This all should have been avoided. He now IS on meds the remainder of his life.

The medical staff is excellent, and the surgeon did a fantastic job explaining the process and healing timeline. However, my initial experience arriving on the first day is the part I wanted to address in my review. Yes, the surgery is expensive. However, one particular individual needed business etiquette classes. No compassion at all and sticks a statement with two prices. A high and low estimate and proceeds to tell me if I want to look elsewhere, it's my option. You would think when someone provides you with a $6K bill, a bit of compassion is shown, especially if you don't know someone's financial background. How about explaining options? How about explaining what I'm about to pay $6,800 for? I stressed about my puppy breaking his foot, and someone who treats you like a dollar is not cool. Again, my experience with the rest of the staff was excellent. The medical team and the medical techs are fantastic. The girls at the front desk are patient and helpful. However, some need to understand how to speak to paying customers, especially those paying thousands of dollars. Overall my experience was positive, and I hope this can become a learning experience for some.
