I had been blessed to meet Dr. Tomas Infernuso - one of the top veterinary surgeons! Dr. Infernuso has a wonderful reputation as a highly skilled and talented surgeon. You can immediately tell he has a genuine passion for his profession and prides himself in making sure the owners are well informed and prepared for the surgery. I cannot thank his team enough for saving Suzy's life. Suzy had a tumor that was growing so fast, it was taking over all the space in her little body. Dr. Infernuso, who was so kind and straightforward, gave me all the info I needed in a very honest way to make hard decisions. Suzy is 10 years old, but otherwise healthy. The surgery was going to be costly and risky but given Suzy's happy demeanor and otherwise health, the Dr. decided to take a chance on Suzy. Dr. Infernuso was more than fair with cost and fees. He is not about breaking banks, he is about saving lives... Dr Infernuso pulled a huge mass out of Suzy. The removal off this mass also included removing a damaged ureter and kidney along with reconstructing her colon. This Dr. is so gifted at what he does. Amazing. I just cannot thank Dr. Infernuso enough. The care Suzy received was absolutely top notch. Suzy was hospitalized for three days being taken care of so skillfully after surgery by the Dr. and Nurse. They both texted and called me often to update me about Suzy's condition. They had walked me through the after care process as well. I will recommend Dr. Infernuso a zillion times over, I will forever be grateful for the extra time he took to keep my sweet baby alive.I am looking at her now playing. She is happy. All of the staff was kind and helpful. Our veterinarian, Dr. Michael Weisberg, and nurse were incredible! They answered all of our questions, took their time and made sure we got everything out of our first appointment. The vet also made sure we understood WHY he was recommending all that he did. Amazing care! I was here with a friend for a 4 month old…read morepuppy who was lethargic, vomiting, wobbling & had diarrhea. The puppy's regular vet wouldn't see the pup & said had they had no appointments (although they were open until 7pm & the call was made at noon). The office was spotless & all the staff were polite, helpful & professional. Dr. Martinez took her time & explained everything from the tests they wanted to do, to the test results and her treatment plan. I've been a pet owner for 20 years and that level of care is rare indeed. People on Yelp complain about the $600+ upfront emergency care charge here, but that's just to secure payment and is standard practice for emergency vets. After Dr. Martinez's exam, we were given an estimated treatment bill...and, since the final treatment & medication was less than originally estimated, money would be refunded...along with a much happier, healthier puppy. People who complain about the high prices should check out the prices at other vets. Vet care is pricey everywhere but, the type of caring, thorough vet care we received at Bellerose Animal Hospital is quite rare. Kudos to Dr. Martinez & team!

You left for the holiday weekend and provided a hospital in Suffolk County. You did not provide a diagnosis and an actual treatment plan. If you did, email it to me. Perhaps you should not "ramble" in inefficient care with several doctors there, and actually be competent to do your job. I did not pay at Blue Pearl because she was very thin. The CPR would have caused her pain and would not have meant she would live long, or at all, based on your inadequate treatment. And yes, the CPR is expensive. When you go to a veterinarian and see several of them in a "hospital," you expect a thorough diagnosis and treatment. The only responsibility I have is not following my intuition and taking her elsewhere. Yes, I do think veterinarians' often exorbitant bills leading owners to euthanize pets (when they can chip in for patients coming there for years) is immoral. I have more than enough funds for my present cat, but if you paid me millions of dollars, I would not bring her there. I read several reviews where bills were outrageous with no or the wrong diagnosis rendered. To Hernandez: Rather than ramble on talking down to people you think have less money than you do, focus on why after at least $2000 and three veterinarians later, I had nothing close to a definitive diagnosis or treatment. My cat had severe diarrhea with a voracious appetite. Clearly, her capillaries were not absorbing nutrients. from her small intestine. Did you find the etiology? You had blood and stool tests, and at least one ultrasound. Your solution was a duck and venison diet for three months, and go to emergency care [because you are incompetent]. She died before that. You should have been closed years ago after a thorough investigation, and look forward to the day you will be closed. What comes around goes around, and pets are children, so be wary.

This vet used to be so good and attentive. I used to bring my cat years ago and now I bring my dog…read more When my dog was a baby, they were great. Helped us with learning what to do and gave tips. Our dog started to show signs of anxiety. We called the vet to get some advice on how to handle. We did classes, at home training, and medication. In the beginning, medication was working well and simple. We followed any orders given to us and asked what more we could do. Over the past year, this place has become a stress inducing mess. His medication refills were not filled properly, they became rude to us and my dog. Whenever we required a refill, there was always push back. They would claim we'd run out quickly and "something seemed off" according to his medical records. I stated how the medication is not filled correctly and we'd never had a problem until recently. This place would make it seem that I was either over medicating my dog or we were using it ourselves. Each visit made it seem like we were doing something wrong. We came up with the solution of prefilled syringes. This was great the first time around until THE VET decided to not continue this. Then we had a problem again and more push back. The communication sucked. We would be told his meds would be done one day, we'd arrive ready to pick them up, and would hear that they never actually put in the meds. Of course that part is not in his medical records. Most of his medical records are them covering their own mistakes up. We decided to go elsewhere and were met with nasty staff, medical records with rude comments and saying we "seemed off". I am truly disgusted with this place and would NEVER recommend it. Whatever advice and tips they gave us, we took. Whatever orders and requests they gave, we did. I'm not sure what happened to this place. We took the meds THEY suggested, administered as they told us, and had issue after issue. This place cares more about money and people they like. My dog is well taken care of and always is up to date on any medical needs. I am so disappointed in this place and hope they either change or shut down.
