Micah was calm and well behaved throughout his first vet visit, which made the experience even more reassuring. They were able to fit us in for a same-day appointment, and everyone--from the front desk staff to the veterinarian and groomer--was incredibly kind and showed genuine care for Micah. The team was thorough, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and provide excellent care. We truly appreciated the compassion and professionalism they showed, and we highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

He would drink but not eat and seemed to be under stress And sluggish. Even though it is supposed to be a walk-in clinic, we had made an appointment and saw Dr. Leung. She was very nice, examined him and gave her advice. We decided on a conservative approach as the options were costly. They whip out a tablet (not unusual) and show you the prices. The least costly was @ $500. Part of this was a probiotic package which was @$50 and had little or no effect. He seemed slightly better on Sunday, but during the night was very sluggish And still would not eat although he was drinking. I emailed them early Monday morning that we were bringing him in, probably for the next treatment, blood tests. We got there a little after opening and there was a closed sign on the door. Someone came out and said they were doing surgery, could not help him and told us to go to the emergency vet, which is probably what we should have done in the first place. I think we were treated very badly. We did go to the emergency vet in Carle Place and our dog seems to be doing better.

Our dog Kobe had been in some discomfort, he was having frequent urination spells but nothing was coming out! After a day of watching this and thinking he had a UTI, I made the decision to contact this facility and explain what was happening. I spoke to a new and very fine representative by the name of Jade. The girl has it going on and is extremely professional as well as respectful. I explained what was happening and she told me to get Kobe to them immediately. When I got to their office, jade had Kobe's file open and ready and off he went for a quick examination, She had also asked me if I had a preference of Doctors who would treat him and I told her no as if this is an emergency whoever is available is good enough for me. Dr. Kolins was my pets Dr until he had to retire. Dr. Demi is also very nice and I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Avelar for the very first time, and she is extremely nice as well. So in my book, Kobe was in good hands. Dr. Avelar explained what was happening to my little guy and Dr. Demi was also on board with what was happening and both we're very reassuring and calming. Bottom line, I had seen the X-rays only to find out my little guy was in extreme discomfort from 9 Kidney Stones! They needed to make Kobe comfortable before proceeding surgery and they would work on him the very next day and insisted he stay the night and will probably need to stay a few nights afterward as his procedure was going to be very evasive. Bottom line he would lose the use of his penis to urinate and they would have to create another opening for him to relieve his urine. They also and very carefully explained the healing process and that I should not freak out as to what was going to happen afterward the procedure. Kobe did extremely well and had to stay two additional days to be monitored. Kobe stole the place with his affection. I went to see him before the procedure and the next day after as they warned me he would be out of it for a while. Kobe, of course, didn't know what had happened as wouldn't look at me, but made a noise that sounded as if he was relieved to be out of pain! The staff told me that they would take turns and take their breaks with him as well as their meal breaks as he was a great patient! I picked him up and the incidents they had prepared me for we're taking place. He was bleeding from the new opening but he had to have aired so no covering could be done to accommodate. He had spotted the rug and thankfully we had covers on the furniture with old blankets and wee-wee pads. It wasn't too terrible, but one day he was clotting terribly and when I contacted the vet, they told me to get him in there immediately. I arrived at the Vet and both Dr. Demi and Dr. Avelar were on hand and waiting for me. Dr. Demi came about and reassured me that this was normal for this type of procedure and not to be concerned. Dr. Avelar came out with the very same message and even took another X-Ray whereby all was confirmed and my dog was in better shape than I had thought. They had also told me that if he was human, he would be down for at least a month! Kobe was healing and healing quickly but perhaps was licking the new opening as the stitches were taking shape. This went on for at least another day and then finally all was over and his sutures were removed a week later. Betty who works there is always the voice of reason and reassured all was going to be fine with my boy! Again, compassion speaks volumes and honestly, this team made all the difference in the world to me and my boy! Congratulations on a job well done and that meeted and exceeded my expectations!

I was recommended him my girl's old vet in Queens who didn't do visits in Manhattan and I cannot begin to say how lucky we are to have found him. I have been to so many vets over the years with my fur babies, some who look at you like a checkbook, to the point of telling me "maybe you should go elsewhere" when her nerves got the best of her (I'm looking at you Animal Medical Center) and others who put the needs of the animal above all else. Scheduling an appointment has always been pretty easy, and the front desk staff have always been very nice/helpful to me. After adopting my formerly feral girl, i was a frequent flyer for a few months with prep, surgery, and after care visits, and they were always willing and able to answer my questions regarding prescriptions and payments. Most recently, I saw Dr. Lotus Altholtz, who was very kind and gentle to my 2 nervous cats (though my cats might complain that she wants me to cut back on their treats a bit). The biggest stars though, are the assistants (nurses ?) who help keep my 2 calm and on the table during exams. They are all very friendly, and help put both my cats and me, a very nervous first time cat owner, at ease. Sometimes appointment waits run a little long, but its a small price to pay, and they are certainly more timely than any of my doctors! I would definitely recommend using them as your vet!
