    Urine soaked bed.
    Shannon M.

Once again furious and truly disgusted by PetSmart. First, a couple of months ago, they isolated my poor puppy in a crate for three days when I paid to have 8 hours of play a day for him because he's a pit mix. AND THIS TIME, my family went away for a full week. I had already found alternative boarding for Huck but my parents and brother could not find any in the area in short notice. They boarded their two year old English Cream Retriever, Khali, and my brother's five year old pit/lab, Lucy, at PetSmart in South Huntington. When my brother picked up Lucy, he found out they changed her crate during her stay and lost all of her toys. Since she's a pit, she was crated the whole week alone and now didn't have any toys to play with. There was vomit and urine on her bed that was brought from home. When my parents picked up Khali, she was completely soaked in urine. She smelled like a Penn Station urinal. Her bed was soaked through in urine and they told my parents she hadn't pooped in days. Obviously my parents had them bathe her before bringing home their stressed out sopping wet dog. Below is a picture of how the bed is supposed to look and the urine soaked bed they came home with. I had already made the decision never to use them again for boarding but this sealed the deal for my family. Not to mention they paid hundreds of dollars for these babies to be cared for just to have them neglected like this. It's heartbreaking and a total nightmare for furparents. PLEASE never board your dog there. This was three horrible experiences with three separate dogs. They are obviously neglectful and horrible and should not be trusted with your babies.

All the cute critters were Soo Happy to see me!

I needed some pet supplies while I was in the area so I stopped into this PetSmart. I was immediately struck with how large and well-stocked the place was. There were supplies and food for any and All Pets. It was great to see this PetSmart also participates in the last hope kitten adoption program. The kitties were all wanted to play.. I almost took another one home. I was happy to see that the animals here were all healthy and happy, I can always tell. I spoke to the manager briefly and discovered they had a female only pet policy here. PetSmart does not offer male animals as pets. I applaud this effort to prevent unexpected breeding accidents..and the.. rush to provide homes for cute unexpected fuzz balls. In addition male animals can have more aggression and odors. I checked out their fish department. They had a wide selection of fish supplies and items to keep your aquarium healthy and beautiful. I checked out their supply of live fish and did not find any floating casualties. I was very happy with this particular PetSmart. I'm usually quite critical of pet stores, as I had previously been in the business for many years. I am passionate about ethical and educated pet stewardship. I love their Big FREE parking lot, and I'll certainly return for supplies. Or to provide a home for a kitty cat. See you nice folks again soon.. keep up the good work.

They have tons of supplies. They also have adorable and adoptable kittens! We love the fish area for our pond.

In almost 55 years patronizing multiple veterinarians, none has come close to demonstrating the commitment to my dogs' well-being that West Hills continues to display. For example, Cassandra, who works in the front office, suggested an effective means to expedite the delivery of a second course of antibiotics because I was concerned that I might complete administering the first course prior to receiving them. The veterinarian prescribed these antibiotics during a follow-up phone call; this medication would normally have been shipped over the course of several days. Andy, an office manager volunteered to make the arrangements to have the expidited delivery. Faith, a veterinary assistant, was essential to my timely receipt of the medication. Leydes, in the front office, volunteered to complete and email a detailed written estimate for future procedures when I requested an oral summary.; moreover, she composed and emailed the estimate while I was on the phone with her. Furthermore, Leydes was kind and conscientious enough to immediately forward a second estimate when she was not satisfied with the accuracy of the first. Dr. Multani, the veterinarian who has diagnosed and performed multiple procedures on my dog, has followed up examinations immediately with extremely detailed results which she has patiently explained. She has also offered to contact other, unaffiliated practices to gather relevant information for diagnoses, and patiently answered a number of detailed questions during a follow-up consultation. In general, the staff at West Hills continues to demonstrate utmost commitment to the welfare of my dog and has exceeded my every expectation throughout each phase of my interactions with staff. Both my dog and I could not be in more capable and attentive hands.

I tell our trainers Katie and Nicole all of the time that they are life savers. We brought our puppy here at 1 years old - a small wild, energetic Jack Russell who knew every time I was on a video meeting to bark his head off and embarrass me EVERY TIME! Walks were out of the question since he would pull on the leash to the point he would choke himself... sitting on the deck was a nightmare in our own backyard because he would bark at the wind (yes, the wind), the leaves moving, the birds and obviously the neighbors. Does this sound familiar? I questioned my decision of getting a puppy and then I found Max K9. We did a 3 week Board & Train where I was super hesitant of dropping him off (because no one wants to leave their baby anywhere), but they were so good with sending video progress and pictures and including my husband and I in the process. I joke with everyone that I think they implanted a program into his brain! Lol! The transformation was unreal. We were instantly able to communicate with him and actually go on a walk.. outside in the real world. What a breath of fresh air, literally! Max K9 has given us the ability to live an active lifestyle and have our pup enjoy it with us. Hikes, traveling, morning walks, trips to the store, brewery visits, long car rides out of state... you name it. I would do it all over again if I had to without a question. So if you've made it this far, thanks for reading. I hope this helps you make your decision to having a better relationship with your pup and enjoying life with them every step of the way.

We were having trouble trying to help him adjust from living in the south on a large property to living in a one bedroom apartment with cats and a smaller back yard. We were set up with our trainer, Jim, he educated us on how to handle Keiko properly (from basic obedience to different enrichment), build a better bridge of communication and help with his confidence. Our last session Keiko even decided he was going to try one of the obstacles from maximum K9's agility course (no prompting from us) shocking both me and my fiancé. Safe to say Keiko loves Maximum K9 as much as we do . Since our training we have been able to do so much more and get Keiko better involved in our activities (which we know he loves). They also have so many great treats, toys, and training tools for those at varying levels in their store portion.

Couldn't be more proud of this pup. 6 weeks ago she was everything to me but was also very tough to manage. She always moved out of frame and could never stay still for more than a few seconds. Marlon of @k9u_ny trained her to become not just more obedient, but a focused presence that is always looking for ways to ensure I'm loved. I feel as though I have a dog that's constantly on the look out for me. It's hard to put into words how comforting that is. I can't recommend him and his team enough. Althea, I'm looking forward to all of our adventures ahead. Especially now that you're not just a sane dog, but because you've become the best dog. Highly recommend K9 University across the board. They've changed our lives. Thanks again Marlon!
