This was not my first time in the store as I have come here before to buy dog food for my mom's dogs and it's always a pleasure but as a first time dog owner my experience coming in to look out for our own was exceptional. We were greeted by Alanna and may I say how super knowledgeable she is with the all the products and what would be best for our dog, breed: pitbull terrier mix. Thank you so much for helping my partner and I to treat our new addition with care. Luna sure appreciated the duck liver cookie she swiped too LOL. I could continue on how grateful I was with the help that Alanna gave to me and partner thank you so much you're a treasure :) read more

I visited the store and Lelani took care of me. My little 4lb chihuahua has an itch problem, not fleas. She was extremely knowledgeable. She gave me samples to try for my finicky eater, too. Try them out! read more

This place is great! My pup loves the treats that they carry and the fresh, frozen foods they offer. I love knowing that it is healthier for him and natural. Not filled with any chemicals, preservative or fillers! It's more expensive and worth every penny! I also love knowing that it's human grade. Why feed your baby something you wouldn't eat! Think about that! read more

This place is great! The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. Particularly, Leilani has gone above and beyond to help my family and I find what's best for our pets. She's been incredibly personable and helpful. We love this place! read more

My Australian Shepherd is a super picky eater. I read alot about upgrading my dog to a raw diet so I stopped by this little shop in Riverview. They had the Fromm food my pet seems to like and freeze dried raw was on sale, buy one get one. I figured that would be a good way to ease her into a new diet. I have been mixing the dry food with the freeze dried raw for a few days now and it seems to be a great idea. My Aussie is finishing her meals and she is pretty happy so far. read more

My wife and I just got an adorable little frenchie puppy and decided to stop into Dog Gone Holistic to get some food and other goodies. When we walked in, we were promptly greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. We were asked quite a few questions about what we were looking for, what we were interested in, etc. and we were quickly on the same page. This helped the employee guide us in the right direction and explain multiple options to us that fit our needs and budget. I was impressed with how knowledgeable the employee was and how there was no type of judgement at all. I felt like they genuinely just wanted the best for my new pup. This is a great place to find healthy dog food options that aren't typically found at grocery stores or the "big" corporate pet stores. While those stores are focused more on profit, Dog Gone Holistic is focused more on health. Plenty of Freeze dried food options and baked kibble were on hand (and ended up in my trunk). I look forward to going back for things like supplements and food toppers. Plus they carry Stella and Chewy products, so this is my new spot! Here's my happy pup playing with his new toy after he scarfed down his dinner! read more

Every star is well deserved by this business. Never been to the Fish Hawk location, but i'm sure it's the same. Small business, two locations, and reputable brands with minimal ingredients. Employees are very knowledgable, if one doesn't know the answer the other will. They use the products at the store so you can get food insight and opinions on recommended brands. They helped me transition my dog from lightly cooked human grade food to a good brand of a complete meal raw feed. (Answers raw patties & goat milk) They also have a reward system for certain brands, I know for a fact there is one for answers patties, answers fermented goat milk, and raised right as good grade dog products do seem to be a bit more pricey. They also have an email system that will let you know when they have dog teeth cleaning, and other deals! They welcome your dogs and also have cat food, if I am not mistaking! read more

I love this place. When you enter the store someone always welcomes you which makes you feel like you're a family member. While I have cats and most of the store is for dogs, however they are the only store in the area that sells my cat's food. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I enjoy going and look forward to my next visit. read more

Fantastic 1st visit here. We no longer need to drive all the way to Brandon and pay too much to not get what we need. This shop has everything you could want for your pup (cats too), especially if you are on the raw diet route. Additionally they have a ton of toys for larger breeds and natural snacks with no preservatives. And don't forget about their medicine section, lots of options to choose from and CBD options. The staff is very helpful and friendly too!! Definitely going to return! read more

I love this store - they have a great variety of food, treat, and supplement options for dogs. Our doodle has to be on a restricted diet and we couldn't find the specific recipe type for our preferred food brand. The team at DGH told us that if it's not on the shelf then they can order it for us. The pricing is reasonable and they are always reliable in getting us our next bag. We've also appreciated how friendly, giving and informed every staff member is - they are always sharing ideas, suggestions and facts with us to help us keep our dog well trained, happy & healthy. read more

Absolutely one of the BEST pet stores I've ever shopped at! I've been coming here for about 4 months now and the staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and gives excellent recommendations based on your pet's needs. My dog Oliver suffers from severe allergies and we have been narrowing down the problem little by little. Since visiting this location and taking their recommendations into account we have been able to minimize the allergies so much more! Facing such challenges is very frustrating and Dog Gone Holistic has made this process easier for all of us. Kane and Maddison were incredible at stirring us in the right direction and always follow up about products we have purchased. I highly recommend this local without any hesitation, you won't regret it! read more

I was in the Doggone Holistic - South Shore store, recently. I have to say how patient, wonderful, & friendly the staff was! We don't own a dog but, I was in the store looking for something to give to a local animal shelter. The staff answered ALL of my questions & were very understanding with my lack of knowledge on the subject. If we had a dog, we'd, definitely go back to this store! read more

This is the best local/nearby pet store. The employees are very knowledgeable and always helped when it came to our dogs!

Very knowledgeable about nutrition perhaps more so than the 3 vets we dealt with when our dog had liver cancer.
