I've come here for Blueberry back when I had my first sweet little dog, and now I come here for my Muffin. Whenever I go to Hyde Park for a cupcake at Sprinkles, I just HAVE to stop here for Muffin (because she will tug me here on her own) and buy her a tasty treat from the treat display case. They have tasty-looking seasonal goodies that Muffin loves. My latest purchase was two pumpkin cookies, four cookie-dough doggie bites topped with a mini milkbone. Muffin certainly has it made for a place to go get some gourmet goodies with her mommy!

Since this location accepts walk-ins, that's usually what we do. Several times now I've come in with my pup (plus my baby who's under a year old) and was told the wait would only be a few minutes. The other time I ended up waiting almost an hour, and today I was told "a couple minutes" again but it's already been about 30 minutes with no update from anyone. A quick check-in would really go a long way. We come here because it's convenient and close to home, and we used to really enjoy bringing him. We've actually been getting nail trims here for years. Prices definitely aren't cheap and seem to keep going up, while the customer service unfortunately feels like it's slipping. I'm hoping communication and service improve because the convenience keeps us coming back, but a better customer experience would make a big difference.

I want to start this off by saying when I first found this place I thought I found the best groomer…read moreever for my 7 year old dog that has been to many, many groomers. But yesterday I had an experience that will never make me go back. The worst experience I have had in any place I've ever been. I am leaving 3 stars though because Essence has been great to us up until yesterday (and i don't want her job to be at jeopardy over a mistake), and new manager Ashley filed my refund immediately and profusely apologized. My advice for the company, if reading this, is to GREATLY improve communication, including drop-off and phone call updates. I've been getting my dog Leo groomed at Beautify the Beast downtown for a few months and yesterday they shaved my dog completely after I told them "just his usual trim and add the spa package." They had Leo for SIX HOURS! I tried calling four different times and ended up driving over there after the third hour and they told me he just got into the bath, then they were gonna cut his hair. They didn't give him any water or take him outside (when we left he was desperately trying to drink dirty puddles) and now he's yelping when I go to hug him, so I think they were handling him rough or something. Added a picture of him shaved horribly and a picture of how he normally looks I am heartbroken on many levels. I lost a relationship with a groomer I really liked, I lost my entire day waiting for him to finish, and my baby boy lost his beautiful coat that is going to shed as it grows, leaving little hairs all over my house.

After being put on hold, the woman came back after speaking with the groomer and told me I could bring him in at 1:30 PM. If appointments can't be honored or properly recorded, customers should be told upfront. I won't be returning.

We've used Bark Life for boarding our pets multiple times this year, and we- and our cats and dog-…read morehave always had a good experience. The pet accommodations are comfy and give them plenty of space. I appreciate that I can be that person and look at my dog on a webcam and see how he's doing. They staff are kind to the animals and responsive to requests; once our dog was in a "penthouse" which comes equipped with a human bed, but he is under the impression that Good Boys do not go on human beds, so when I saw him on the floor they sweetly brought him a dog bed, too. Our cats are happier after boarding than they were in the past after being left home alone during travels. They also have daycare services on weekdays, which is handy for long work days or just for socialization. I appreciate that they do a temperament test to make sure your pet will have fun and be safe with others. We have never needed to use most of the grooming services, but when our dog's had a bath there they seemed to do a good job. They also have a decent selection of good quality pet food, toys, etc. We'll continue to be loyal customers.
