Food truck menu

Discovered this gem of a food truck in River District on Saturday while walking around the neighbourhood. Tried the half mozza and half sausage corndog and it was delicious but wish there was a full sausage with full mozza cheese. Sadly, they don't offer this on the menu. The following Saturday I made sure to visit Dog Corndog again and ordered the Burning Ham Crunchy Corndog where it's a cheddar jalapeno sausage. The batter is made fresh so that the batter dough is fresh, fluffy but not oily. Jalapeno cheddar sausage was amazing with a bit of a kick to it. The vendor will ask if you want sugar on top of the Corndog and I highly recommend it! You can't really taste it but the guy said it makes it taste even more delicious so who am I to argue? Great corndog and good value! I can't wait to try more flavours!!

It's good and some of their corn dogs are actually quite filling especially if you get their jumbo cheese smokies. The nice gentleman I've consistently seen parked in front of Joyce Skytrain station is good at multi-tasking. I haven't had to wait for more than 5 mins for my corn dog to be ready although he does get a bit busier during the end of day commute. This is like an amped up version of the classic corn dog with some Korean-inspired flavours. Give it a try if you haven't had a chance to experience this!

Very nice flavour and nice crisp to the batter. I'd only wish the batter stayed on the corn dog. The condiment side flips upside down

Dog Eat Corndog is a Korean corndog food truck that is often parked outside of Joyce skytrain station! They have a variety of corndogs, ranging from ones filled with mozzarella cheese and some with hot dog weiners inside! The corndogs are made to order and once they're fried, they will ask you if you want to coat it with sugar. You also get to pick from a variety of sauces to customize your corndog. I HIGHLY reccomend the sugar coating because this is the Korean style and it also will give your corndog a nice sweetness and crunch. So far, I've tried the crunchy corndog which has a chicken weiner inside, the batter, crunch and sauce is good but the weiner is nothing special. I also tried the mozza crunchy corndog which is half mozzarella and half pork/beef/chicken weiner inside. I LOVED the mozzarella inside, it made the corndog taste like a giant mozzarella stick and was sooo stretchy and tasty. However, I found the weiner really salty. I think the best would be all mozzarella corndog. I will be returning since the service is great and the corndogs are affordable and tasty. The first time I went, they didn't have trays yet so it was a bit messy to eat but now they got trays since the sauces are a bit drippy. I will be coming back to try more of these corndogs soon!

Why 5 stars? Because I just couldn't walk away from these smells…read more --- --- --- We were on a bike tour and stopped right next to this hot dog cart. The next stop on the tour was Granville Market for lunch, but as we were all taking pictures of the area, I could not get over how amazing these hot dogs smelled. We were about to move on, but I was overcome with the desire to get one of these bad boys and couldn't resist. I walked up and asked how long it would take to cook one for me, and he said it would be in my hand as soon as I handed him the money. And he took USD, so that made it really easy. The hot dog was quite large, and the bike tour leader was laughing at me for ordering it as soon as we were all about to leave, but I ate it as fast as Joey Chestnut. And it was everything I hoped it would be. The only regret is that I added some of the Garlic sauce to it, and wished I would have been a little lighter with it, because it was pretty overwhelming. Tasty, but it was a lot. Great food, friendly guy and set in a beautiful scene. In my next life, I want to be the Alberta Hot Dog Cart Man.

I like that the dogs are slashed and grilled so lots of surface area to get crispy. The buns are also toasted up so the don't get soggy. It was really good and I would eat one again and I'm not a big fan of hot dogs! You can't beat the ambiance in this English Bay location right by the beach promenade. Try the hot dog cart when you're around!

Hurray for candy trucks! I was waiting for my husband at Second Beach and walked over the this…read moretruck where I saw a group to cyclists buying water. I looked at the sign at all the different types of candy and many of them sounded great! The woman working there offered me a free sample of any of the candy and I tried a mango piece. I didn't find the flavour to be as strong as I like but we decided to get 3 bags for $11 (or $4/bag). I got a bag for friends and I tried the peanut brittle and fizz candy. The bag looks small but you get lots for 100 grams. I liked the fizz candy as it wasn't too fizzy. The peanut brittle was good too and great for crushing and putting on ice cream. Great food truck and location to enjoy during a walk along the seawall. The woman working was really friendly too. Would be great to see more candy trucks!

However, there is no shortage of candy in this city, even organic all-natural dye-free candy. Just look to Whole Foods, Save-on or other bulk foods places around the city and in the GVR. What they do well though is service. How many stores/vendors around this city are giving out free samples? I mean, seriously, do you know of any? I don't. Even places like Kernels and Starbucks don't do it often, and overpriced candy vendors at Granville Island could take some advice from this business. So while my marine life-shaped marshmallows were delicious and cheaper than Butter bakery at only $4, I don't see myself stopping by this truck often as I find it easier to walk into the nearest natural foods store. However, as a person who appreciates good customer service, I will be coming back to buy some product once in a while. Perhaps this business could sell their product in Whole Foods/Choices? Easier access for me!:)

I've been meaning to check them out for a while but since we don't live in the area and they are only open Thursdays to Saturdays, I hadn't been able to make it out until today. I went with my husband and we ordered the Crispy Chick'n Burger and the Sunshine Teriyaki Burger respectively. They use Gardein brand patties for their burgers which are delicious and we both really enjoyed our food. It's really great seeing various vegan food trucks around the city and Loving Hut has a great location in Yaletown close to False Creek . The lady working there was really friendly, giving us a run down of the menu and also directing us to good places in the area to sit and enjoy our food. That was definitely above and beyond the kind of service I've received from food trucks in the past. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other burger options next time!

After seeing the daily menu on their facebook page, I knew I was going to have the Bacon Cheeseburger. I was going to annihilate it. With my face. Bruce ordered the BBQ Onion Ring Cheeseburger and we sat down and waited. IT WAS SO TASTY. The "bacon" was smokey, crispy and salty. The "beef" patty was perfect and not at all dry or bland. There was even some kind of vegan mayo on it, as well as some typical burger condiments. AND CHEESE SAUCE. Made of daiya I think? It was saucey, messy, hot, and delicious. I got it all over my lap and I regret NOTHING. I didn't feel all gross and sluggish after I ate it, either. I felt great! I'll probably be back, like, every day.
