this will be a long review but believe me, you want to read this before you take your pets to them...I don't even know where to begin with this, I was trying to avoid this but after dealing with them I have no choice but to write this review. We have taken our dog to them for over a year now, we were really happy however everything changed after his last grooming visit. After he was groomed and picked up, later on in the day he was down and itching we figured it was just because he got groomed. Well, the next morning poor guy was licking his abdominal area and it was so red and inflamed he could not sit or walk for a long time without stopping and trying to lick it. We called the emergency room to see if that was normal, they stated sometimes they get razor burn and to try placing something cold to calm down the irritation which we did, however, the next day it got even worse he was crying, he could not sleep, the area was so red and seemed like he had a cut, so we took him in to the vet and they said that unfortunately, this can happen from grooming if they cut too close to their skin it can get irritated and inflamed. The grooming place was closed Sat, Sun, and Monday so we had to wait to call them to see why we were not advised about his abdominal area being shaved so much that this happened, Nina ( person who groomed him) answered the phone and was like "oh I was just going to call you because I saw your google review" she did not seem concerned whatsoever, she was acting like this happens all the time and was going on and on about how they use the same blade for all dogs bla bla---- no apology or anything. We brought him in for her to see his irritation and she was extremely rude towards us and she took pics stating that this happens because he was licking it after he was groomed and it could have been avoided if he didn't lick it, I am sorry but he should've never been shaved to the point where he was irritated to the point where he had to be taken to the vet. Poor guy has blisters and bumps from all this. She hesitantly wrote the check to refund us for his first vet visit which was $70 and she handed the check and said " Good luck with his next groomer" I am sorry but this was not about money and trying to get refunded for freaking $70, this was simply to show you what was wrong but yet she was so rude and one SINCERE apology would have avoided all of this but instead she refused to take any responsibility for her action. Please be careful and do not take your pet here if you want them to be taken care of. read more

I have to say, I am IMPRESSED! From the moment I walked in we were treated great! I was greeted and so was my dog which I appreciate hahaha. Most of all, NO ONE was open on Sunday minus this place and she was very accommodating on getting me in. I can't believe how great my foster dog looks, when I picked her up I was in shock she was even my pup! The extra couple min drive and a couple bucks more will always be worth it due to how great of service I received. You pay for what you get and I am more than happy with the services I received. PLEASE READ!! I've given much thought to what I wanted to say. I called around to various groomers as mine was booked for a week. Over the phone I was told $45 for groom additional $20 for deshed could be a little more depending how long it takes, sometimes can take up to 4 hrs. I brought my dog the next day, had me fill out paperwork. When I was done, no one in sight & my dog was roped to a tub. He was crying, which is rare my dog does. I was so hesitant to leave but I told myself it would be ok, it's only a couple hrs. 11 drop off. At 2:30 they called saying he was done, I raced over there. He was tied to a wall on a rope around his neck, so short he couldn't even sit if he wanted to let alone lay down. (I have video) no water in sight! No worker in sight. Except for a guy blow drying or something, another dog behind a partial wall. Couple other dogs where barking & he starts yelling "SHUT UP"! That's when I went & got my dog myself off the wall. Finally someone came up, later find out it was the owner. She tells me he had so much fur, I'm going to be happy. He is a ridgeback mix. Short hair. She then tells me $110. I almost died. I was told $65 on phone. She begins to argue saying I must've heard wrong. After she went & got her daughter & argues w me for 10 min, she said she could do $95. I said you know what I'm going to do, I'm taking my dog & I'm going home. I'll be back. At this point, I knew I wasn't giving my credit card to them. I was going to get cash in the amount I was told. She said she would call the police. I said go ahead, it's a civil matter, nothing they can do. Talk about a professional place?!?!! She said that it cost so much because he had a ton of hair & it took up to 4 hrs. Wait?!? He was done after 3 1/2 & was completely dry! Which means he had been done for at least an hr. I am not stupid!! This place is a scamming business starving for money. If you don't have the guts to stand up for yourself, she will make you believe they worked so hard on your dog. I want to add, not only did they call the police because I did show back up w cash (as I didn't trust them to have my credit card #) & the officer told her the same thing as far as it being a civil matter, but my dog, a day later developed a area where they were to aggressive & has a wound now. They only care about a buck & not your pet. Explains why they had openings within a 1/2 days notice. UPDATE--- in response to your response, I think you guys have a lot to work on. If we want to critical in details, my appointment was at 10:30 & I arrived at 10:45 due to getting off late at work as I explained could happen when making the appointment. Again, you guys are a horrible business. Yeah sure, if you want to use a tub and clean your own dog, probably a decent place to go. Maybe. But beware having your dog groomed. read more

I call yesterday to set up my first appointment here and it was quick and easy setup for the next day.. I thought I was weird because most nice groomers are booked like a week out.. I show up today at 930am for my dogs appointment and the place is closed.. I am sitting here now in front of a closed store writing this review when the hours clearly say they should be open... At first, I was a bit tentative because they cost a bit more than the groomers down the street. I loved the cut and it was super easy to get an appointment. I also love how they get her in and out more quickly. I felt they did a better job on her teeth. I decided to stay with them for a year. Great choice! For the first time in a few years, the vet did NOT recommend having her teeth cleaned. I saved a lot paying the little more every couple of months and my dog is way happier! read more

My dog returned home scratching herself desperately. I called both the owner and the shop repeatedly to try to figure out what was wrong. Even after many attempts (text/phone/email), they did not respond. Eventually the vet told us this happens when groomers rush using dull clipper blades without blade coolant, causing burns and irritation to the underlying skin. My dog was burned across a wide area and needed medical treatment. If they had just called back and made it right I would have understood it was probably a rare error. But the unwillingness to even call back makes it clear this business only welcomes positive feedback. read more

Nice enough place but the staff member wasn't very helpful. It was my first time there and the dark haired lady sent me back to wash my dog without explaining much. My pup really hates the dog wash so having to leave him in the tub to go get her to show me the basics wasn't great. Didn't know they had brushes to use until I saw them and asked. Just felt like I was being ignored. I will say that it seemed like a nice clean place and that my dog is clean! read more

The lady seemed nice when I walked in with my 2 dogs, there was a little white dog milling around the dog wash I think he belonged to the owner and he getting a little too friendly with my dogs which in turn made them more nervous from the unwanted attention. When I finally filled out the forms and coaxed my dogs near the tub and the little white dog trying to hump my dogs I Knew that the bath was going to be stressful and decided against it. The shop seems like a nice place just too much going on, at least for my dogs they really need a calm atmosphere and this place was not it. read more

Nina takes the best care of our dog and he comes home looking like a new pup! Rates are reasonable, proximity to the dog park is awesome, and the place always has a clean and friendly atmosphere. Self wash for little dogs is only $10, which I'm more than happy to pay rather than making a giant mess in my house. Nina even gives us advice on things like how to clean the "eye boogers" and tips on brushing teeth. We will be customers as long as we have pets. read more

I took our notoriously difficult shiba inu/ beagle mix here today to get her very long nails clipped. She was in and out in no time, the associate was relaxed and didn't flinch at what a pain in the booty our dog is. Our dog is very timid and will bite, so we put a muzzle on her when she gets her nails clipped. I am so happy we found this place! The associate was very friendly, professional and kind. read more

These folks are wonderful! My little Westie Has some digestive problems and occasionally her bum gets a bit messy. Today was one of those days. I took her in for a self wash and got very helpful, professional help from the young woman at the front desk. I apologize for not getting her name. As we checked out, I knew Gabby's bottom was still in a bad way. I asked if a groomer might be willing to do a hygiene clip to clean what I could not. They most graciously took her back, clipped her and brought her back to me in less than 5 minutes. The groomer (again, apologies for not getting her name) came out with her and took the time to explain to me what she did and what I might expect. I am so grateful to these women! My other Westie is just out of surgery with a 4-1/2 inch incision in her leg, so I'm feeling stressed. I will most certainly bring both my girls to Dog E Fresh and suggest others do the same. read more

Everyone here is Super friendly and kind. My dog is a little timid and nervous and usually comes home from the groomers very anxious. This time, Bob came home happy and calm. I love that, if possible, she allows the dogs to be outside of the kennels. I have found my groomers in Colorado! read more
