The lady at the register was so kind, helpful, and accommodating -- real Southern hospitality. The place has that "Old Florida" charm, full of nostalgia and memories of childhood road trips. Definitely a fun stop for all ages and a great spot to experience a bit of vintage Florida flavor.

I did buy a rubber chameleon for Bud to scare his mom, a small orange bouncy ball, violets candy, tin of mints that says alligator poop. The misty-eyed host wearing iconic ice cream parlor attire greeted me and rattled off the holiday discounts immediately setting the tone - it's like you're stepping into a place where sweetness and tradition meet. The vibrant Whirly Pops at the counter are like a candy store mascot, drawing you in with their oversized allure. And then the selection of classics, like Jelly Bellys, Candy Apples, Cotton Candy and M&Ms, immediately brought back a flood of childhood memories. It's like being transported back to simpler times when a bag of those candies felt like a real treasure. Miss Tilly's list of ice cream flavors sounded like a whole other adventure. Delicious titles begging for a taste test - Salted Caramel Praline, Razzle Dazzle, Coconut Almond, Espresso Chip, Candy Craze and Christmas Cookie. The store is clean and well-organized and they change up their displays frequently. Yes, there are flies buzzing around the produce but this is an open air market so it's to be expected. Not all of the products are local to Florida but you will find brands not found at most large supermarkets. Two of my favorite products of all time are sold here: Jake & Amos Beets and Jake & Amos Vanilla Peaches. I also enjoy periodically picking random dressings and sauces to try.
