Located in a strip mall anchored by a Roses Discount Store, the place looked dark from the outside and the "Open" sign didn't appear to be lit but we knew they were open because of various Open yard signs in front of the establishment. Upon walking in, we were seated right away and presented the menu. They have daily specials but they didn't have pernil, although they had lechon asado like most of the Cuban/Latin American restaurants we've tried in the area. I ordered the lechon asado which came with yellow rice, fried plantains and red beans. My wife tried their Midnite Cuban sandwich. The lechon asado was flavorful (but of course no crunchy skin) and the yellow rice was good as well. My wife's sandwich, however, was a disappointment! The roast pork had an off taste and was gristly...she had to remove that meat from her sandwich. I tried her roast pork and was thinking of sending it back but my wife just removed all the meat from her sandwich. Perhaps we'll be back but definitely not ordering the Cuban sandwich again. Lunch for 2 came out to just over $30 with tip.

We…read morearrived at 7:30 and many diners had completed their meal and were leaving with to go boxes in hand. That indicated to me plentiful portion sizes- a plus. The entry was clean, well decorated, and well staffed. It was too small to handle all the leaving, arriving, and pickup traffic but there was seating inside and out. At any rate, our wait was short. We were shown to a comfortable table, promptly greeted, and provided with a basket of hearty corn chips and a great salsa- just a little spicy but also mild enough for my husband's tender palate. Angel was our server and she was great: attentive, pleasant, and informative. We ordered two appetizers:,mofongo and chichirrones. Both were great. The avocado sauce accompanying the mofongo was very flavorful, bright and tangy. The pork was well seasoned and had crispy and tender bits without and excess fat. It was just right. My daughter ordered the reine (white flaky fish with yellow rice and black beans), my husband had beef quesadillas with rice, and I had the chicken and shrimp Monterey. The fish was new to us all and was very good- like hake or cod. I don't know how mine tasted- I ate too much of the appetizers to have any room. But two of the 7 (!) to go boxes were just mine and we will ALL dine well tonight, too. An added bonus, while there, I learned that they made Sancocho (a delicious soup/stew/heaven in a bowl) on Saturdays. SOOOOO, we placed a pick up order for two large containers and the desserts we couldn't justify last night- carrot cake and flan. There's no doubt we'll go back. Paella and fajitas are at the top of my list but I suspect that the entire menu will be worth a try. We have lived all over the country as well as traveled and often found good Mexican food hard to find. We are thrilled to know Latinos y mas is in oca

We were even able to have mariachis, which made the celebration extra special. For a group of 35, everything ran incredibly smoothly--we had two assigned servers, and the service was fantastic from start to finish. Alexi was phenomenal--so patient and attentive--and every order came out fresh and correct. We'll definitely continue visiting. Highly recommend for both everyday dining and special celebrations!

Located seemingly out in the boondocks off a busy intersection of two highways, 42 and 475, the standalone building offers a lot of parking. We were led to a booth when we walked in and given a somewhat cryptic menu...did the meats come with rice, plantains, beans or do you order those extra? Being mofongo virgins, my wife's eyes and mine fixated on it. She ordered churrasco trifongo and I ordered the mofongo with steak and chicken. Our mofongos were smothered with a garlic sauce. The mofongos were served in the wooden mortar it was prepared in with the garlic sauce overflowing on the plate the mortar was served on...nice presentation. When we started eating, we both realized that we won't be able to finish it...that pounded plantain and cassava were quite filling. All that starch. The steak and chicken were tender and the garlic sauce was a good compliment. What we didn't like: 1. Service was spotty. Even though it was a late lunch and the place wasn't packed, our server barely checked in on us and I had to actually walk up the counter to request our bill. 2. The floors were sticky, making us think perhaps the place isn't the cleanest. 3. Music was too loud...we were seated close to the speakers making conversation a challenge. Food was decent but service and ambience, or lack thereof, knocked it down.
