Dog Bar is a spectacular little place. My husband found it online, and we decided to check it out on our free Saturday. Steph is so kind, creative, and awesome to create this space for us in the East Bay. There are so many little touches that show her love for dogs! There are these little photo opp rooms that are made from the old fitting rooms. THEE CREATIVITY!! We didn't do these today because we want to come back when ronja is in costume. However, you gotta know that each little photo space is unique and masterful. There's hanging mustard and ketchup bottles! There's a backdrop made of different tickets !! The lattes and dog drinks are tooooo adorable. Ronja ate it up! If your dog doesn't finish, fear not! It won't be wasted! Steph's dog will happily take what's left! There are a lot of events. What a cool indoor dog park/ lounge concept. They have indoor dog runs for small and large/active dogs. They also have a bar with treats for both humans and hounds. We went for a special Lunar New Year celebration. Lots of smaller dogs wore they're outfits, and they had tables full of resources, treats, and dog accessories. I really like Kuya's Cookies, which supplies human cookies to the bar. They have waterproof floors and lots of cleaning supplies. You're expected to wipe up and solid or liquid mess and spray with sanitizer. But it was overall pretty clean and nice. It's located in the mall. Enter through the JC Penny entrance. Make sure your pup can handle walking by Cinnabon and other kiosks without helping himself to a stuffie or phone case. read more

Dog bar was a great experience! They were giving out free doggie smoothies in the courtyard. The smoothie my dog liked was kale, spinach and coconut milk. I'm pretty sure he said it was delicious! Dog bar has a play area and a shop. See the cute bandana my doggie got below. :) The employees were very kind and helpful. I look forward to coming in again soon to beat the heat! read more

I dropped by here while I was at the mall and decided to pick up a cute toy for my dog back in NY. This toy was absolutely perfect! We named him after the white rabbit candy in Chinese so you wouldn't believe my excitement when I saw this toy! We also got to see the owner's Aussie during our visit and her dog was super friendly! This place is very cute! The owner is also very friendly and has 2 well-behaved dogs of her own. I loved the way that they decorated the rooms. We were late due to traffic but fortunately she was understanding. Our dog especially liked the chicken treats and the drink. Very cute concept and recommend your having a day out with your pet to come and check it out. read more

We had an amazing time for our dog's first birthday! Kayla was the employee helping us that day and she was a great help. She made our ball pit add on and puppy cocktails! She was very helpful and attentive. She always made sure we were having a good time and helped us schedule a good time for all the activities for the doggos! I've been following this place on IG and finally got to go. It's on the first floor near where the old nordstrom store used to be. when I came in, I was greeted by the owner Stephanie who quickly came over and checked our Immunization records. I was worried that my dogs would pee or poo in the indoor play area even though they already Went outside. It happened. One of my dogs went poo x 2 and peed like twice. There was spray and napkins and pee pads on the wall which was helpful. I was glad I wasn't made to feel like a criminal. I was embarrassed but got over it. there weren't many dogs here when we were here, but we still had a good time. Stephanie offered to make an ube drink for purchase for the dogs with whipped cream and sprinkles which they happily finished. She was also working on trying out a new matcha drink for dogs. I love how the dog bar had treats, dog beer, dog wine, and cute stickers for sale. The furniture is trendy. they do events here which I plan to attend in the future. I really want the dogs to try the dog boba! Stephanie was really easy to talk to. We will be back for sure. read more

First time at the Dog Bar for a dog birthday party. It was a lot of fun! First of all, there is no alcohol at this bar. It is kind of like a dog park inside of the mall. The dogs and kids all had fun. Proof of vaccination (for your furry friend) is required. There could have been more seating but my main complaint is that the major department store next to it is shutdown so you have to go through a farther entrance and walk through the mall with your dog. read more

If I could give a higher rating than five, I definitely would. I had the perfect experience here for my dog's birthday. I came here with my sister and we live typically an hour away, but in the middle of driving our ETA extended our time to about two hours total and we were unfamiliar with the traffic experience in area there. Stephanie was the sweetest and most understanding person, and still allowed us to have our time at her dog bar. Each room was so cute and I got a lot of compliments from friends on how adorable the setting was! My dog got this Matcha drink that I knew she enjoyed because she went crazy on it along with some of the snacks that we got. I also ended up buying some things such as these dried shrimp snacks that I never knew about and this cute poop bag holder that looks like a Sriracha bottle. I had a bad day prior coming here but this entire experience completely made up for it, that shows how much fun my dog and I had:) read more

Omg love these ladies! Was just shopping around and found this place in the corner of the mall and had to walk in! They had a lot of options for toys and leashes with really cute prints! We ended up grabbing a harness on discount and they found us a smaller size for our cat! The ladies were super helpful and wonderful to talk to! I would definitely look into this place! Amazing atmosphere for your dogs! read more

Sweet spot to take my dog, when it's raining outside and I don't want her to come inside caked in mud from her daily exercise. Got to throw a ball and have her play fetch without having to hose her down. The run was long enough to give her a good amount of running to play fetch. The bar was nice, picked up some treats for my dog. This is a nice alternative to when it's raining, and will also be a sweet option when Summer comes and it's roasting outside, but still get in daily exercise for my dog. read more

I stopped by this place today. I don't have a dog but I was curious to see what it was all about. I ended up petting the owner's dog & he was so sweet. It's nice and spacious, good for dogs to play and socialize. I love that they also feature local bay area artists. I'll definitely stop by here again if there's any events going on. I love the vibe and seeing the dogs having fun makes me so happy :) read more

We started as a tiny popup boutique collecting goods from other Asian-owned small businesses for dogs! We met so many friends along the way that would come hang out at our kiosk in the mall that we realized there isn't any kind of indoor space for us dog people to hang out and just enjoy our dogs! So we decided to open the first and only indoor dog park and event venue for people to have fun with their dogs in new enriching ways!

We walked down the street where we had seen some picnic tables and had our lunch there. Our Shiba just sat there patiently waiting for us. She did score a few small pieces of oxtail and that may have helped keep her on point. While we ate, we kept an eye on the park. No one used it while we were eating. When we were done, I took a calculated risk and took her into the park. We chased around for a few minutes and then it was time to leave. One woman walked by with a small dog, and I asked her if she wanted to bring her dog into the park and we would leave. She basically laughed at me and said no. I found out later that the large dog park was across town, so we'll have to look for that one next time.

We had a few folder chairs, and brought our own food for a little picnic. "Pop Fiction" was high energy and did a good job with songs from the '70's to today. They were a little pitchy at times, but everyone was just having a good time. As the evening progressed, more people came up front to dance or sway. There's no shade on the lawn, so definitely bring sunscreen and hats. The park itself is huge, but I didn't have time to check it all out. We enjoyed the concert and picnic. We'll probably be back for another one before the summer is done.

Here, there are free parking spaces along street as well as a small parking lot down the road. At the trailhead, you reach the Courdet Trail and can hike up about 2-miles (1,000 ft elevation gain). It sounds strenuous but it actually isn't too bad as the incline levels out in numerous places and there is plenty of shade all along the trail. From the top of the trail, you can head back down the way you came, or connect with a handful of other trails at the top and keep going! I went on a Sunday morning around 7:30 and it wasn't too difficult finding parking. The trail also wasn't too crowded, but by the time I finished around 9:30 the crowds were picking up. Dog friendly and clean!

(If you're planning to board during the holidays, I highly recommend reserving weeks, maybe months for major holidays). In the rush of going to the Sunol to beat the 680 rush hour traffic - I completely forgot my dog's food, bed and toys at home ‍. I was too far out to turn around. Once I arrived, I explained my situation and asked if they had any in-house food and how much it would cost. They were so gracious and told me that the can take of the food for 3 nights at no charge - thank you so much!! They'll also make sure to add extra blankets on our dog's pet. I highly recommend this place, and it's always my go-to place for boarding in the South Bay. Been boarding our dog here the past 4 years!
