I was very impressed how easy it is just to text and have my boat in the water. The staff is great, extremely accommodating and helpful. Anytime I need to work on my boat, the service dock is available. They sell batteries and ice, just in case you need it. They also have a storage unit with tools and accessories if needed. Yes, I am writing a yet another review because the unethical behavior of not only the Manager, but…read morethe Owner as well, is appalling and really just unbelievable. The purpose of my reviews and contacting the BBB was to make the public aware of the way MFM choses to do business and how poorly they treat their 'customers' & their property. I have NEVER asked for financial reimbursement from Marshall Ford Marina except for one time, in the amount of $184. This was due to the fact that my paddle wheel was getting damaged after each launch and at that point, I had spent about $1,000 fixing it and did not feel that i should be responsible for paying to have it fixed once again. I even spent an additional $320 for a GPS speed reader so that I could do away with having the use the paddle wheel altogether. I submitted the same previous review that I submitted on YELP to BBB.org - for no other purpose than to educate and warn the public of this highly unethical operation. Again, I had no intention of seeking financial compensation from MFM. The Owner, Marcel, responded not with an apology, but rather claimed I was reimbursed $1,210 - which is a flat out LIE. Only $185 of that was requested of me. $50 of this 'reimbursement' was offered to me to make up for their screw ups, ie: not fueling the boat as requested before launching it and almost leaving my stranded in the lake. The other $130 wasn't requested either, but was given in the form of "1/2 month of storage fees" after Todd forcefully kicked me out of the marina with 8 hours notice... after I had already paid the entire month of April. They 'reimbursed' me a total of roughly $365, and I have all the bank records to show this. But they went so far as to falsify financial documents to make it look like I was given THREE free months of storage in Aug, Sept & Oct of 2019.. during a time which I had not been complaining to them about my repair bills. Last I checked, it is a crime to falsify financial documents. I did not request any reimbursement until Feb of 2020. The paddle wheel repair costs around $185.. so what legit company would actually give a total of $780 in free storages for repairs that would not add up to that amount? Especially when it is not requested by the customer? Very odd. They even went so far as so claim they paid my mechanic, Noack directly, "retail pricing" for my repairs! He confirmed that he has never received payment for repairs on my boat or for anyone else's from MFM. Also, Marcel accused me of harassing his staff. Not true at all. I had one firm conversation with Jessica expressing my dissatisfaction of Todd's gross misconduct, rude attitude, damage to my property, and his way of dealing with issues. Very understandable considering all the BS I have put up from them over the years. I was very clear that I was in no way blaming Jessica as she has always been courteous and helpful to me, and let her know my dissatisfaction was in Todd's terrible way of dealing with his customers. AVOID this place at all costs! I thought I was getting a good deal at $250/month when first signing up, but in the end I was left with a TON of repair fees, weeks of lost time on my boat, and constantly having to deal with a boat that did not perform optimally.. as well as being treated like absolute sh*t by the Manager & Owner. Honestly, a simple APOLOGY could have avoided all of these negative reviews. I have never in my life been treated so horribly by a business. If you need a storage place that will actually care for your property, go to Emerald Point Marina. You will pay a little bit more monthly, but their storage is climate controlled so you won't have to winterize. They also give you a parking pass, 10% off gas, 10% off at the restaurant and 10% Platinum Marina service. Better yet, they will treat you like a human being. BTW during all of this back and forth, I had a Billy R. (current leaseholder with MFM) reach out to me via facebook after he saw my Yelp review. He showed me photos of his boat that was damaged by MFM (see attached). Of course, they tried to blame him for the damage.. but he noted the damage right after a foreclosed boat was moved next to his. Then, weeks later, after MFM put his boat back into the water after a refuel, it SANK. Of course, this was blamed on him as well. I don't know how anyone could continue to give MFM business if you consider: Stuart Mason's BBB review, Billy's sunken boat, my drama saga, Beverly Lee's Facebook review, and the numerous others who have had to deal with property damage and Todd's disrespectful attitude. I hope this review makes you reconsider your storage options. I will not be silent about this until MFM comes clean and starts being HONEST to their customers and the public. I never give out 5 stars but Thad and his team at Ski Dock are amazing. We were in the market for a…read moreused runabout and visited with the Ski Dock team at this year's Austin Boat Show. We weren't in a real hurry to buy but they suggested January was a good time to shop for a boat. They were very respectful of our budget and desired boat features and were able to work with a boat owner that had her boat on consignment with them to get a sale price that was good for both parties. Thad met my entire family (including 3 grown kids, a grandma and a spouse) and took us for a test drive before we closed the deal to be sure it met our needs. He was quick to point out some minor issues with the 7 year old boat to make sure everyone was on the same page and there were no post sail surprises. Then they recommended a great marina on Lake Travis for us to rent a slip from. He delivered the boat to the slip, worked with the marina owner to set the lift up for our boat and then met me and my kids there the following weekend to give us personal driving and parking lessons. Yep that's right he took us out on the lake and taught the kids how to drive the boat and me some of the tricks to docking the particular boat. My family is so pleased to have a boat and are all thankful we bought it from Thad and his team.

Was told the boat was just serviced and had two years of factory warranty. First season, boat ran horrible compared to a friends boat, thought it was just an under powered and heavy boat. Next season and 40 hours of use... boat won't get on plane. And is struggling. Replaced fuel filters and they are so seized on that the filter mounts had to be removed because they were corroded on. Took the boat to a more reputable shop and they discovered the spark plugs were fowled and compression in three cylinders were between 130 and 135, the other five cylinders were between 180 and 195. Called the dealership to ask about the service and warranty, at which time they admitted to not telling me the truth about previous owners, warranty status and services that were completed. Was told by the service manger that the compression was checked before I purchased and they all read 190! Now I'm told that the warranty is only transferable one which was done before me and it would have costed $1400. How can you sell a $100,000 boat all based on lies!!! There's no way the service was done based on the filters, Fowler plugs and never has a mechanic seen a V8 motor all read a perfect reading across all cylinders. The service manager burnt me on my last boat by not replacing items that were ordered for warranty and reduced my boats back looking like complete trash!! Run away from them. Spend your money somewhere else. They lie and cheat customers. I've bought two boats from them totaling more than $200.000 and they still treat me like a second rate citizen. Not recommended! Won't buy a life jacket from them!

This in one of the only if not the only marina on the lake that the slips are individually owned…read more I think that is confusing for those that think they are always renting a slip from the marina itself. The HOA does have a few slips that are owned but not many. There are monthly HOA fees even if you purchase the slip but I enjoy that we as owners and tenants of the HOA have a say in how and what the marina for the most part spends the dues on for repairs, movement of the slips as the lake level changes and replacement of necessary items. The marina is currently being rebuilt with a new design but the inconvenience for the time being will be so worth the wait once it is absolutely complete. Thank you Landan for your care in watching over the marina and most always being available when we have concerns or questions. We are family here and we treat others how we would like to be treated and things are always good as far as I have experienced. When the lake is low who doesn't have a bit of a walk so that is always to be expected.

I was one of the first tenants to rent a slip on the day that they opened back in 2000, and 12…read moreyears later I finally sold my boat. I can say that in 12 years West Beach Marina was perfect! The guys who run it are really nice and do an outstanding job running the place. It's always clean, and they'll help you with issues any time you ask. The marina itself is on a point, not in a cove which is what you want because no matter how low the lake gets there's always plenty of water there to keep things afloat, and once you exit the marina you're right on the deep part of the channel. If I ever buy another boat, I'll be returning here.

Emerald Point won our business because they have the most flexible service and pricing. For $190 a month, our boat lives in dry stack storage, and we simply call the marina and let them know we will use the boat, and they put it in the water for us. It's like a boat valet! I feel so important! Another great service is their on site mechanic. Again, all I have to do is call and say, "Hey can you do this to the boat" or "Can you do that to the boat" and they call the marina, the marina gets the boat to the shop, then they put it away, and I am ready to go! If I want to work on the boat, they will put the boat on a work station for me. It is really sweet. Plus, we get 10% off at Carlos and Charlies and the at the boat shop. Not too shabby.

Then they have this live aboard hilljack named Jerry? that is supposed to be the one running the place when Larry isn't there. Gates are constantly broken and the launch is about dried up. They have some hilljack towing company patrol the lot and tow boats without stickers. The problem is that the stickers fall off the trailers. The only one with sense lives in Louisiana and is harder to reach than the president. The renters all fight for the good spots because they lease half of the lot out to some zip line company. And don't let your kids walk around without supervision because the zip line vans come flying around the corner. The price is right but it is poorly run. Could not even reach anyone to renew my lease or contact when there was a problem. STAY AWAY.
