I called to ask a few questions about a boat rental. The guy was incredibly rude. He was very short with me and seemed annoyed the whole time. When I paused to think about something he said, literally on the verge of placing a reservation, he said, "Get your phone fixed" and hung up on me. Wait what? Did that seriously just happen? If you don't like working with customers, find a different line of work. Long story short, stay away! I rented from Lakeway Marina. The pricing was better and the person I spoke with was very professional and personable. read more

I've lived in Briarcliff for over 5 years and this is the first time I've rented a boat from the marina. I am just not a boat person but I gotta say it was fantastic. Super friendly crew at the marina. We rented a pontoon for 4 hours and it was painless. The rental process was super simple. Guided instructions of the boat and we were off. We live across the lake from Briarcliff Marina at The Island on Lake Travis. We always buy marine or human fuel from them when boating because they are friendly, fair in their pricing and always professional. However...this review is about performance and service in Boat Detailing..."WOW"! I called Caleb, a manager there, yesterday morning about detailing our boat. He asked when I would want it done and I said "How about now"? He said OK, and within three hours, our boat was washed, waxed and in addition, all of the safety and recreational gear was organized (first time ever) and placed in each individual storage area. How much does that kind of service cost, you might ask? As I said above, they are fair in their pricing...$10 a foot !!! What a "Win-Win". Excellent service been two times and this is by far the best place to rent bots for the lake. Great people, great service and always have a fun time with the family. Can't wait to come back. Caleb was excellent, served us with a smile upon returning the boat and explained some details to us to get our next rental since we want a speed bot next time. Can't imagine going anywhere else. Rented boat and jet skis. Managers and reception were stellar. Dock hands were just "ok". Manager made sure everything was just right. They swapped bout out for us when a newer one came in. These guys of the biggest a$$holes I think I've ever met they literally think they own the lake they rip everyone off weather it comes to rentals slip fees or any type of business They even kick people out of the parking lot that they don't even own and said they're not allowed to fish in their cove I didn't know you could on Lake Travis but apparently they think they do I really hope people start boycotting this place and run them out of here read more

Visiting Lake Travis from out of state, we felt fortunate Briarcliff Marina was close to our cabin. Our landlord from cabin highly recommended them so we called ahead and made reservations. They were prompt in returning calls, and throughout our interaction with everyone we found all to be friendly, helpful and professional. The marina and the fleet of boats they offered were very clean, well maintained. They provided tips for places to go on the lake and best locations to spend our time. It was a wonderful experience and if back in the area we'll be renting from them again. THANK YOU for making our experience great! read more

Our family rented a pontoon for 3 hours. We were having a family celebration and thought it would be a fun time. We've never been on a pontoon and were not sure what to expect. All I did was call in advance to reserve the pontoon. Getting to the place was easy. Our rental was ready and the guys at the marina helped get us situated and also gave a quick course to my husband and brother on how to operate it. BEST. TIME. EVER. I cannot not say enough about our experience. Everyone had such a great time. We brought our ice chest with sandwiches and drinks and had a great time. The pontoon is in great condition, the life jackets looked new and overall it was just perfect. We cannot wait to go again. All the staff were so nice and so helpful. Thank you for making a 50th Wedding Anniversary so memorable. My parents loved it and are now ready for a big cruise! read more
