Doda burger, nehihama roll and onion rings.
    Stephen K.

Friendly welcome from the staff as I walked in. Ordered at a kiosk which was easy. Staff brought the food out when it was ready. I had the Doda Burger, onion rings and a negihama roll (yellowtail and scallions). I'm always a sucker for those rolls and this one was delicious. The fish tasted very fresh and succulent and the combination with the scallions was lovely. The burger was delicious. I especially enjoyed the fresh cucumber/ pickle slices. It's a messy, juicy Wagyu burger cooked nicely medium and I devoured it. Somehow made it through the meal with the two napkins they provided but I easily could have used 8 napkins. It was a struggle not to lick my fingers lol! It's a darn good burger. The onion rings were piping hot and they brought two aiolis for me to dip them in as well as ketchup. Super lightly fried - they were outstanding. All in all a delicious late lunch albeit it was $50+ ( the roll was $19.99). I enjoyed it though - everything was high quality and if you just went for burgers and fries and/ or onion rings it would be in the ballpark as most burger joints. The staff checked on me multiple times and gave me a complimentary dark chocolate which capped off the meal nicely. Not too big inside but they did also have a front deck with plenty of outdoor seating.

Both items, the Doda Burger and Crunchy Toro Roll, with two bottles of water and tip were about 50 bucks. You know what, that's perfectly fine with me. Both items were absolutely delicious and you can really taste the quality in the ingredients. The owner who greeted us was extremely polite and welcoming. I don't mind paying this kind of money when the value matches the experience. Absolutely recommend!

Doda is a Kazakh-owned burger shop in Dallas and I have always known about it but have never tried it till now. I used to go here all the time when it used to be called Invasion which was known for their chicken sandwiches. They make Wagyu hand burgers and serve some sushi as well. My dad and I got their doda and kimchi burger with a side of their doda fries. The doda burger includes toppings of a typical burger with pickled onions and their special doda sauce. They bake their buns in house daily. These burgers were so huge too. I'm not going to lie, this is probably the most tender, easy to bite burger patty that I've ever eaten. The meat was very juicy as well. It had a very beefy flavor and I enjoyed it a lot. We also requested for grilled onions in our burger and they didn't charge us for it. The kimchi burger included Napa cabbage kimchi and spicy mayo. The burger was solid as well but the kimchi is not spicy at all. The doda fries are topped with Parmesan, parsley, furikake, and chili ponzu aioli. I wasn't expecting the sauce to be thick. I'm glad the aioli was given on the side because the fries were already pretty salty so it didn't need the aioli at all. The owner came by and gave us some free Ferrero rocher chocolate. He apparently used to be a sushi chef, which is why there are a lot of Japanese items and sushi on the menu. Their food is on the pricy side but you can taste the quality in it.

Spent 50 for a burger, onion rings, and the salmon sushi. Quite expensive imo This is my top 2 burger in DFW and I will definitely be returning just for that. It's delicious and juicy and not tall. I also appreciate that they cut it in half. It runs about 16 bucks but it's very worth it. 9.3/10. The salmon sushi was quite average. It was good for what it is but nothing crazy. I'd skip this next time 6.5/10. The onion rings were awesome. I didn't even get to eat them hot but I still loved them. 8/10 Nice crisp and has a good onion flavor

If you love Japanese fusion and burgers, you'll love Doda! My partner and I stopped by this gem on Friday for an early dinner and we were blown away. When we arrived around 6:30, the place was empty. We were immediately greeted and advised we could order at the screen and seat wherever we'd like. The place is extremely clean. Quaint and minimalist which I loved. After ordering, our food arrived not long after. We opted for the burger, fries and stir fried noodles. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. I'll even go as far as saying the burger is one of the best I've had in Dallas. At the end of our meal, the owner gifted us with a taste of various seasonal fruits which was also fresh. And very nice palate cleanser after savory food. All in all, outstanding and needless to say we'll be back. But hey, don't take my word for it, give them a visit and you won't be disappointed.

We stopped by Doda early on a Saturday evening and had no trouble finding a table. I ordered the Doda Burger with Doda Fries, while my wife went for the Doda Fried Rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The Doda Burger was delicious, though next time I'd try the Classic Burger to really savor the wagyu patty on its own. The fries were crisp, well-seasoned, and excellent with a drizzle of teriyaki sauce. Our food arrived in good time, and the patio offered a peaceful, relaxed setting to enjoy the meal. Overall, a great spot with fantastic food and a chill atmosphere.

Got the Doda Burger, Truffle Salmon Roll ( 8 pcs) and Doda Fries

Cannot recommend this place enough. Got the Doda Burger, Truffle Salmon Roll ( 8 pcs) and Doda Fries. I went in apprehensive about the pricing but left thinking it should've cost twice as much for the quality we got. The chef cooking served us himself and brought chocolates out as we were finishing up. This is some of the best food I've had in my entire life. Can't wait to come back.

Cool new spot in East Dallas. Sushi, classic Asian dishes, & burgers! Yep, burgers. Though two of the three burgers offer an Asian spin. We had sushi. Really good. Looking forward to trying the burgers. Service was awesome. Owner was super-nice and service-focused!

I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

I remember the gourmet Eatzi's phenomenon when the chain had a Houston location, which has been closed for almost 20 years. Although I've read Eatzi's may in fact return to Houston, I'll believe it when I see it. What I've always liked about Eatzi's is the high quality and variety of cuisine on offer. For some reason, this time I settled on hummus, but also saw lots of other cool choices, including sushi. Bread is baked in-house and lots of people seem to like the made to order sandwiches and prepared foods. Service here was really good, although I was a bit put off by the long line wrapped around the inside of the store. However, I was able to walk right past it to an easy checkout. Parking here, in my opinion, was easy. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to this Eatzi's location in Dallas, and also hope Eatzi's returns to Houston one of these days.

The sandwich turned out really nice with the type of bread I chose and a pesto sauce. The focaccia bread was good but would have been great toasted. The pound cake was alright but I would not get it again. There are many kinds of deserts all around inside to try. I just love going into Eatzi's to see what they have to offer!

We were seated right in front of the kitchen, which made it fun to watch the chefs working during the meal. We started with the Blue Crystal Prawns and Hamachi Crudo. The prawns ended up being one of my favorite dishes of the night. For mains we had the Tonnarelli, Rosewood Wagyu Coulotte, and Black Cod. The tonnarelli pasta was fantastic, especially after just coming back from Milan. The wagyu coulotte was cooked perfectly and was another highlight. It came with chicken jus, which was an interesting touch that worked really well. Dessert was great. The chocolate mousse was unreal, and the gelato with walnuts and chocolate was also excellent. Justin also brought out a birthday toast and noticed that I do not drink, so he brought a zero alcohol option instead. They also brought gelato out with the mousse for my birthday, which was a thoughtful surprise. My only small critique is that I wish the bread was included rather than being a paid appetizer. Overall it was a great place to celebrate my birthday and I would definitely come back.

Attention to detail expected (but perhaps not officially required?) was not there across the board... including, I just noticed, that their Yelp profile is still "unclaimed". Is no one monitoring and/or caring about what people think? When we "jokingly" asked the waiter why he didn't put the napkins in our laps, his response was that the owners wanted to create a more laid-back casual vibe. For that I might go to Chili's--I never go to Chili's. ;) I did think beforehand it was going to be special as I received a text asking the name of the person celebrating their birthday. I figured that meant something personal and special might happen. See the card--the "birthday celebrant's" name was not "Mamani". Makes me wonder why they even asked. And not that a full, free dessert was expected, but even nice, non-Michelin places give mignardises (I admit I had to google that one!) at the end of a meal as a final "thank you" for dining with them. Did I mention there was also no amuse-bouche (that one I didn't have to google!)? The food was all good, although the "prepared table-side" veal cordon bleu lacked the presentation one might expect. It surely would have been plated better in the kitchen without the table-side gimmick that added nothing to the entree. The "greens salad" meant to be shared, yet stuffed all into one bowl without plates, was difficult to eat. When we asked for plates we were told it was "meant to be picked at while eating as sort of an amuse-bouche" and were never brought plates. Don't call a salad that accompanies a meal "like an amuse-bouche"--it's not. The "Bread We Bake" was fine if not a bit pricy, but the "Rodolphe Le Meunier" butter made it worth it! Artichoke appetizer was tasty and easy to eat. I heard the woman at the table next to ours telling the waiter that the place was "lacking that oomph" expected at Michelin restaurants and I believe they left after drinks and appetizers before ordering their entrees that I had previously heard them discussing. I see a few more one-star reviews agree with us. Atmosphere was pleasing. For "just another nice Dallas restaurant", I'll give it 4 stars. I was expecting 5+++ Without major changes, I cannot fathom that this star will be renewed next year.

Victor was building our bowls, and he was phenomenal. These assembly-line restaurants can feel rushed, but he was attentive, easygoing, and actually engaged. I had a lot of questions about the proteins (freshness, differences day to day, what was best that evening) and he took the time to explain everything honestly. He made thoughtful recommendations based on what had just been prepared and dietary needs, without rushing or making it awkward. The bowl itself was well balanced, generous, and incredibly fresh. Everything tasted really good, you can absolutely tell when the ingredients have just been made. At checkout, Sam was unbelievably kind and welcoming. She reminded us pita bread was included, joked with us, and made the whole interaction feel warm and genuine. She even congratulated me on my soon-to-be-born son, which honestly meant more than she probably realized. I had to give her a big hug which she kindly welcomed. That moment alone made my night.
