This was my first remodel, so I did a lot of research and got multiple bids. Andrew's pricing was lower than others, but his work looked almost too perfect, which honestly made me skeptical at first. I reached out to one of his past reviewers before hiring him, just to confirm they had a good experience and they had nothing but great things to say. Now I understand why. Andrew handled demo, moved the shower to a different wall, installed all new tile, plumbing, lighting, and built the entire shower from scratch. He also has a strong eye for design and helped guide decisions in a way that felt collaborative, not pushy. He showed up exactly when he said he would every single day and worked full 8-10 hour days until everything was complete. His communication stayed clear, consistent, and reliable. He kept the job site clean, contained the dust to one area, and was extremely respectful of my home. I took notice that he was the only contractor who took his shoes off at the door when walking thru to bid. That said a lot to me about him. He continued to do things that showed his good nature and great character. Another thing I really appreciated was I felt that he genuinely looked out for me. A designer I had hired was pushing me toward options that were well over my budget, and Andrew encouraged me to take a step back and think it through. He even suggested better alternatives, which I ended up using. That kind of honesty is rare. He also recommended great companies for other parts of the project, including AQ Glass Arizona Shower Doors and Aaron Dominguez Granite, both of which did excellent work. He stayed on budget, did everything right the first time, and was incredibly patient with me throughout the process. I've already hired him again for my kitchen and guest bathroom, and he's even come back for a few smaller requests without hesitation. The only "negative" is that he's booked pretty far out, but that's really not a negative. It just means he's in demand. He is absolutely worth the wait. I feel very lucky to have found him and would recommend him without hesitation.

A disaster from start to finish. Our hallway and bathroom were left without a ceiling for weeks…read more Live electrical wires were left exposed and were later tucked back into the ceiling without being properly addressed. The wires were tested and confirmed to be live. This was an extremely concerning safety issue. We had to get a 3rd party electrician come and secure it before continuing to close the ceiling up. Communication throughout the entire process was extremely poor. We had to call almost every day trying to get someone to come back and finish the job. Dan was rude and condescending during our interactions. The AC contractor they sent came out, looked at the ceiling, and left about 30 minutes later without doing anything. During another visit, my ceiling was cracked when he went into the attic. The damage was eventually repaired, but there were multiple charges that were not clearly itemized, so I could not tell whether the cost of that repair was covered by the company or ultimately charged to us. What should have taken around two weeks ended up taking over a month. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. To make matters worse, payment was sent by check through certified mail. Months later, we were contacted again and told that they had never been paid, despite the payment having already been made. I'm leaving this review because I believe other customers should know about my experience before deciding whether to hire this company. Between the lengthy delays, poor communication, live electrical wires, unclear charges, and later dispute over a payment we had already made, this was an extremely frustrating experience from beginning to end.

Because of my recent experience I will never use or recommend BELFOR for any project. This was a standard flood repair project - standard paint, carpet, pads, tile, and cabinets. There was no drywall repair needed. This was a project that should have taken no more than 2 months, and it took well over 4 months. I encountered the following issues with the contractor and the workers: The lead contractor provided very little and inaccurate communication. I would only receive status reports when I would call after observing days or weeks of no progress. Misleading and false information was provided to me and to my insurance adjustor. He assured me that workers were on site when they were absolutely not. He promised timelines that were continuously not met and there were many lengthy delays. He did not provide adequate supervision of his subcontractors. Workers did an adequate job, but there was inattention to details and lack of respect for my property. When the new cabinets were installed they installed cabinet finish materials prior to installation of the dishwasher. They attempted to force the dishwasher into an inadequate space which resulted in irreparable damage to the dishwasher door hinges. The new RO unit was installed incorrectly - the drain line was installed too close to the disposal output which resulted in dirty disposal water being forced back up through the air gap. The painters washed paint equipment in my flower beds and on the patio with no cleanup. Old baseboards and other construction trash was left in closets and on patios with no cleanup effort. They apparently put construction materials into one of the sewer holes prior to reinstalling toilets resulting in costly plumbing repair. I experienced over 4 months of frustration with BELFOR. I was initially under the impression that they were a quality company. I was extremely disappointed.

My repairs started with an a line leak from one of the bathrooms upstairs which unfortunately soaked through carpeting and dripped down into my chandelier over my dining room table downstairs. *When I questioned the feedback on Phil's behalf to my insurance, he implied I was asking him to lie when in fact, I was asking him to clarify the transitions that would remain on my flooring since I was removing all carpet. *I have a challenging schedule (night shift/ 14 hr shifts) so when I had the time to get work done on my sporadic days off, I would be given information by the crew doing the repairs but Phil would state otherwise...I'm not sure if he thought I didn't speak with the workers in my home directly...so get use to getting lied to. I cannot tell you how many days I called out because of the scheduling issues (I have the text messages to prove it). It took over 6 months to complete the work that was actually done in a matter of 2 weeks. *Do your best to keep documentation on conversations and estimates. *Don't be surprised if the "estimate" changes after the work is completed and you're given a 'new estimate'. *Apparently, unannounced visits are acceptable for the owner. *I was told what supplies would be needed for ME to finish the job that they started...yes, you read that right. *The amount of drywall dust left in my home has been wiped down for OVER a month, and it's still all over the place. *A portion of the work was not going to be completed because I wanted to be done with them so Phil decided to keep the monies originally allotted for wallpaper replacement and apply that balance to "what was owed for labor". I couldn't contract out with someone else because he kept that money. I voiced my concerns to my insurance company and they stated it was made out to sound like this is a conflict of personalities. Definitely NOT someone I would do business again with. The crew was good I wouldn't be tricked into thinking the response below is genuine- as we've been working with one another for 6months.
