First time at docs in several years. Our party of four came by boat and were able to use one of their slips on the side of the restaurant. They recently completed their outdoor dining renovation which consisted of a lower covered area and an upper deck with sweeping views of the tred Avon. We opted for the lower seating area as they only had high tops on the upper deck. The top deck also has shade covering. Great view of the river from both locations and we were very comfortable on a hot day due to a nice breeze as well as the fans they have on the deck. Chelsea was our server and she was efficient and personable. We opted for an order of onion rings, crab cake, mussels, coconut shrimp and a Burrata salad. we usually go to Capsize Restaurant by boat and docs clearly is bringing in more people which I suspect is largely related to their location on the river. Our food was mixed with the crab cake being a solid two star with too much filler and poor seasoning, tasted like one of the nasty crabcakes we get in Florida. The coconut shrimp were done nicely but the provided sauce was so hot that it took our guest breath away. My muscles were a solid four star and they mixed in spicy sausage and shrimp as part of the mix and it was very good. The garlic bread that came with it was in my opinion forgettable. The Burrata salad was a solid four star plus as was the avocado crab gazpacho which our guest had as an appetizer. Onion rings were OK but straight out of a box. All in all, I would gladly return especially during happy hour as I suspect they do a very big business.

Amazing fresh seafood, well seasoned and prepared. The drinks were delicious and Justin the bartender was super friendly and helpful. Beautiful water views and it's hard to beat.

After a morning of boating and realizing that everything else in the area was closed (it was the day after Thanksgiving), my friend and I luckily found Doc's Sunset Grille online. We called, they said they were open, and they had plenty of boat parking spaces, score! There were a good number of people there so service was a bit slow, but someone eventually came and took our order. We shared the Hot Crab Dip and Crab Cake Platter (because why would you get a non-crab item while on the Bay?!?). Both were delicious. The crab dip was really heavy so I was feeling kind of full after eating just that. The crab cakes were huge and pretty tasty. Lots of fresh crab which I loved. Also came with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans, which I loved less. The green beans were a bit soggy and too garlicky for me. But the crab cake, yum! Not the best crab cakes I've had in the area, but super solid. Would definitely come back!

Service was great! Food was delicious. Little windy outside so we came in to watch the Orioles at the bar. We will be returning.

Fabulous Bloody Mary's. Jack the bartender was friendly and efficient! Loved it. Didn't eat on this trip but menu was intriguing. Will definitely return.

While in Oxford, make sure to check out Doc's Sunset Grille. They are right by the marina with really pretty views of the water. We ordered the Rueben, Rockfish sandwich, hot chicken sandwich, and seafood nachos. If you like a classic Rueben, you won't be disappointed. The rockfish was a little bland, as well as the seafood nachos, but the hot chicken sandwich was awesome. If you like spicy food, you can't go wrong with this one and the other flavors went really well with it.

We just came in for a quick bite and a couple drinks at the bar. It was comfortably casual and cool and a welcome reprieve from the walk from the marina area on a hot day. Natalie the bartender was friendly and wonderful and the cocktails were delicious. I got the crab and avocado gazpacho, (not a go to choice for me, but I thought I would give it a try) and it was the best meal of my whole vacation- I should've ordered the large one!! It was absolutely refreshing in every way. My husband got the fish tacos and the grilled fish was perfectly cooked and filled with flavor. The fries were even great. Highly recommend and definitely going back. I even considered getting an order to go it was that good!

I got the Beyond burger and let me tell you... IT WAS HUGE! So fresh with all the toppings and be prepared it takes a while to make but worth every minute of wait (to the point I thought mine wasn't being made LOL). I got mine with onion rings and let me say i can't wait to get those again! I also added the dipping sauce to try since why not?! My family got the BLT, steak && cheese sub, and shrimp basket. Everyone CRUSHED! They don't skimp on the fries w each meal either. You are going to be full. Cute 'I Love Lucy' themed spot with the can in the parking lot. I wish i could special request tuna because i know it'd be amazing! THANK YOU NYID

Another 5 star review. These sandwiches are massive. They come in 11 in and 7 in. They are packed…read moreto the BRIM. Everything has the most intense flavor. The Castellano had a crisped pile of gorgeous beef, with crispy fries, and super fresh veggies (basically a cheeseburger on a sub). My husband ordered this one, so I didn't taste it personally but he absolutely LOVED it. The Thommy, The Three Fingers is a chopped cheese. It's, by god, the best I've ever had in my life. I add peppers, provolone and mayo and an extra side of tzatziki (labeled garlic cucumber on the menu), and oil and vinegar (which tastes like Italian dressing, but who's counting?). The bread is phenomenal. I may literally just order a sub roll with no ingredients one day, just so I can eat it toasted with butter, with every meal I have. It's soft and fluffy, crispy and chewy all at the same time. (It almost gives bagel, but not tough). I also got the y cheesecake. Not as special, perhaps from the Cysco truck (iykyk), but I still bought it and scarfed it down. Strawberry topping was def the average canned-strawberry topping (but I personally love that). I cannot stress, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! As for service, the entire team is so friendly and helpful. They kid around, make silly jokes and make sure your order is prepared fresh and fast. It isn't "fast food fast", but also doesn't taste like shit either, so the wait is worth it. At most 10-15 min if you don't call ahead. As for seating, in winter there are only two two-tops so seating is extremely limited. It is mostly a deli-and-get-outta-here kind of place, but nonetheless welcoming and charming. They have tons of Italian memorabilia all over the walls including giant GodFather posters, taxi plates and more. Today was my first time inside, but I've had my husband go pick up food several times on the way home. I cannot live without one of these subs AT MINIMUM once a month.
