My hubs has been wanting pizza for quite some time now. We've been RVing for almost 3 months. So I googled pizza places in Rupert ID, since we were staying in an rv park close by. We stopped at Doc's Pizza. We had the yummiest pizza ever! It was delicious! The staff was friendly, and they really enjoyed telling us how good their pizza was! They were not wrong! If y'all rvers are going through that area and don't want chain pizza,this is the one! Enjoy! read more

Terrible service, the cashier argued with us about the large 15" pizza we didn't receive. Our "large" pizza and cheese sticks were undersized and over priced. Doc's used to be our go-to but at this rate we might as well get little Caesars or Domino's because they would be better value. What a joke Doc's has become. We won't be back. New, clean, remodeled. Super cool environment and they have ac and plug ins on the wall. Great staff and service super fast to get your order or to get to your table. The food is immaculate and they have so many flavors to choose from. Great company and choice and they have beer on tap too. My sister and I are vacationing in Idaho for the week and my friend took us to this cute little pizza shop and we absolutely loved it. The pizza was so incredible - the sauce was so yummy and creamy for the chicken bacon ranch pizza. I'm not a fan of plain cheese so I personally don't know how it is but my friend said that the cheese is amazing as well. The cheese pull for both pizzas is so insanely long and stretchy. I took a couple bites out of my sister's French dip and that was pretty good as well, we love the freshness of the bread. The staff was super friendly and pleasant. We will definitely be back to Idaho eventually to visit our friend and we will definitel make sure to make a stop here. 10/10 read more

The truth is the pizza is just alright. This place probably get all the raves because it's a local thing. Most the restaurants in this area will have lots of high reviews like almost 5 stars, I'll give it a try and they are generally a 3 star. I actually really love the building of this place. Has the old town feel, classic look, old games in there, and it's pretty well kept for how old. Pizza is what we got which I think is what most people get. They don't have a lot of speciality choices, three to be exact. So I just did a create our own. Just did multiple meats a Olive we love meat lovers style pizza. So here is what I thought about the pizza, I loved all the topping they topped it well. The cheese they don't skimp you on that. However I strongly disliked the sauce. The onion in it was very large pieces and I'm not a fan of that. The crust is bland and hard. I would ride home about that at all. However we did order some cheese bread and it was super good. I'd probably just get that next time if I went. Will I be back.. eh I don't know. I live in the area there isn't much pizza options so might be if I get sick of Papa Murphys. read more

Just okay, nothing special We've tried just about every pizza place in the Burley Heyburn area and now Doc's in Rupert. While Doc's was just okay it was better than all the others. It's been difficult to find good pizza and mexican restaurants in Idaho. read more

You definitely can't complain about the pizza, maybe not rave about it, but not complain either. The salad was very generous and tasty. The building is cute, and in my encounter, the staff was really nice and pleasant. The food didn't take long, and the cheese bread is absolutely delicious. I really do recommend. read more

Best pizza in mini cassia area. Love to get their doc and dans special. You can also enjoy a all you can eat salad and pizza bar on certain days. The crew is friendly and the building is awesome! Love sitting inside and wondering what the walls would say if they could talk! They serve beer by the pitcher also!!! read more

I travel between Oregon and Colorado and go right through Rupert on the way. Travelling back recently, I stopped here with the family based on the glowing Yelp.com reviews. First off, let me say that they only have rating this high because it's locals who don't know what good pizza is that rate it that high. Biased reviews had me stop at a place that made me feel like I wasted my money and I wanted to make sure to post an unbiased review!! First, decor: This place was a quaint shop located in a downtown block of businesses. Great location, easy to find (even if my GPS went wonky in Rupert), and looks great. The interior had the look and feel of a small town pizza joint, and I almost expected the Italian pizza chef hollering out in accented English. Didn't happen, but it had that feel for sure. Next, food: We ordered their chicken ranch pizza, with half with olives for the vegetarian in our party. The girlfriend and I split their unlimited buffet. The pizza was bland and totally over-rated in other reviews. The crust was doughy and not at all crispy. The pizza sauce was an unseasoned marinara that tasted of aluminum and very little of tomatoes. Low quality ingredient for sure, which was a surprise for someone who comes from a wood fired pizza mecca! The buffet was pretty bad. They first gave us a bowl so small I thought it was for dressing at first. We were then informed that it was for the salad!!! Wait, my child can eat three times that much salad! WTF people! We make it to the salad bar, and the lettuce is sitting in a bowl half full of water. We had to shake it off for a couple minutes before it was edible and not just a mass of soggy greens. There were very little options, and their ranch was boring generic ranch you can buy at Sam's Club or Costco. Finally, I paid for unlimited buffet and still had to pay for a drink refill! First time that has ever happened, and I won't pay for that crap again! Finally, service: When we tried to tell someone about the soggy lettuce, we were completely ignored! The man bringing out pizza to the buffet had a surly attitude, and never acknowledged us at all! He had a mean look on his face the entire time as well. If it was an off day, fine, but leave that crap at home! Service was poor for the most part, although the manager Shauna was excellent at what she did!! All in all, a disappointing visit with disappointing food. We won't eat here again, and will tell all of our travelling friends to look elsewhere for decent food as well! read more

Sorry I reserve 5 stars for Chicago Pizza only ha! but this is a great place in Idaho. Not a lot to choose from in the area other than the corporate franchises I try to avoid so this place is a very nice surprise. Very good pizza, friendly workers and we dig the historic building. It's our local favorite when we are in the area. read more

Picked up pizza for dinner yesterday. Docs has always been the best pizza that you could buy. our kids were raised on Docs and When Doc and Dan had it all those years it was always tops. Best pizza in the world and I have had pizza from around the world. Sorry to say Doc and Dan have both retired and what used to be the best in the world is not almost probably the worst pizza in the world. Even Little Caesars is better than the pizza we got this time and you can get a not to bad a pizza with extra toppings for less than 15.00 and we paid more then that for a pizza that should have never left the building. We really miss the the real Docs pizza I guess just a thing of the past. Save half on Little Caesars and get a better pizza So very sad read more

This was a great place I got a salad and a lemonade, I like how they had a salad bar in most restaurants I go too they don't so that was a cool experience. Me and my fellow friends were playing video games they had a mini arcade but it was still good, one problem was that the coins slot was not really working. Well, I actually didn't get the chance to eat there. They say their hours are from 11 am to 6pm and I call at 5:10 to order some take out. They say that they are done for the day. How do you run a business like this? I understand covid is happening. But if you want to be done at 5, say you are done at 5. Don't say 6 and then turn everyone down. I have gone there several times...tonights service was the worst. The salad bar was practically empty and it took forver for new pizza to come out i paid $8 for about $4 worth of food. I doubt i will be back i do have one compliment i am glad they dont charge for soda refills anymore read more

Pizza is good, service was terrible. Ordered a draft beer, no one knew how to dispense one. I received a cup of foam, they don't have anything but draft so I wound up with a water. First time I've had pizza without a beer. I like beer , so I will be finding a new place read more

So heres the deal, I grew up here. I now live in Cali. This pizza is really just a comfort food for me. I grew up going here, playing upstairs for my parents ski instructor parties, and getting take out after long days or family get togethers. Ya it may be expensive and not top of the line compared to anywhere else, but I really really miss this pizza when I go back to my California home. While the place may mostly be about memories for me, the taste of the crust and sauce for me personally is unmatched anywhere else. I compare most deep dish pizzas or thicker crust pizzas anywhere I go to this memory pizza. And hey its either this or Pizza Hut.... um ya I choose Doc's thanks :). read more

What's wrong with Doc's Pizza. I only gave it 4 stars because I don't too much care for Pizza. The salad bar has always been sufficient. But who shares a buffet probably shares a pop so we get where that sentiment comes from! I am not biased to Doc's but they have never treated me with disrespect. I have traveled all over the US and eaten at all sorts of eateries. Chicago pizza at the Silo too. Not impressed by much anywhere. Doc's is like any other hometown place. They have put their own spin on a food/dish and call it their own. Their pizza is good to great. Stopped here for lunch during a trial. Highly recommended by the locals. Atmosphere was nice--brick walls decorated with album covers, looks like nothing much has changed in a while (that's a good thing). Staff was very friendly. Got the lunch special, pizza and a salad. On a whim, we decided to pull off the freeway and drive into Rupert. Found this place and all five of us agreed that the pizza was surprisingly good. The best part was the zesty sauce. The very friendly manager told us the founder came up with the sauce many, many decades ago (his portrait is on the wall) and they always win Southern Idaho's best pizza. read more

The pizza is ok, for the price you think it would be a bit better. The over all prices are a bit too much for what is offered. The staff made us and our guests feel as though we were a burden, even though we were the only ones in the place. All in all, ok pizza, with a pice that is a bit on the high side, and an unfriendly staff that makes you feel unwelcome. read more
